Transformers One is the name of the animated movie in development, that will be a prequel story, taking place on Cybertron, focusing on Optimus Prime and Megatron.

For me, one best ways to adapt this story is making an adaptation of the Transformers:Exodus novel, since its does a good job showing what Megatron and Optimus were doing before the war, and how it got to that point.
The movie should stand on it's own, but have enough nods to previous material, so that it could reasonably take place before either the live action movies or other cartoons.
Transformers Prime, The Cyberverse cartoon, The War Cybertron trilogy on Netflix; all have similar backrounds with Optimus and Megatron being friends before the war, but the details are mostly vague, so it would be cool to have this movie as something you could point a new fan at, to get started on Transformers.

The art style could take advantage of the animated format to create cool Cybertron locations. The designs could be something like Transformers Prime, with realistic textures, but I also would consider Cell shading.

So what you guys want to see in this movie?

Clearly they need to explore the Cybertronian environment and society: corruption, hypocrisies, mysteries, degradation, population levels, restrictions, outdated ways, relations with other worlds, wars, colonisation, slavery, corrosion, pollution, trade, laws, treaties, agreements, disagreements, etc. Megatron would want radical change while Optimus would want slow and steady evolution. Megatron would become increasingly frustrated with the state of Cybertron, especially if there were major threats on the horizon. Optimus would try to curb his rage.

Magneto and Professor X indeed.

I also would like to see the beginnings of the conflict, but hopefully some of the movie shows pre-war Cybertron, the so-called Golden Age.

And I would love it if War Within designs were used.
