Though if anyone does wonder, the stance among news staff here is that neither Paramount nor Hasbro is committing themselves to a full on reboot, so neither will we when discussing the films. They don't want to alienate anyone who liked the Bayverse films without feeling the need to be a slave to it, story wise.

I personally find that rather limiting on their behalf since I feel we never get a fresh start. It all ends up in a larger live action universe with no discernable cohesion. I guess the pre Daniel Craig Bond movies did that to great success so it's a viable model.

The BB prequel comics did seem to spoof James Bond as well!

Jesus effing Christ... I and others I personally know look at the Bumblebee move and any of it's sequels not as a reboot but a story from a different continuity, you know like Marvel, Sunbow, IDW, Dreamwave were all in their own timelines. We know in most of the original stories from Marvel and Sunbow that as the seasons changed and new characters were introduced that it marred up some of the continuity (I think Marvel did a better version of explaining things instead of characters "just showing up" like in the toon)

It's not that f**king complicated.
