Supposedly, this person was an extra on the set of the movie at the White Sands and Hollomans locations and posted these on the LS2 Forums The following has been taken directly from the article. Please keep in mind that The Movie Reporter is not reporting these as fact, but a possible rumors to take with a grain of salt.
Can't wait...i'm in it as an extra.
I am a Navy Seal doing a battle scene against the Decepticons. I filmed out at White Sands and on Hollomans flight line. Filmed for 4 days and had a blast. Tons of pics on my Facebook.
POST #2 - MAJOR SPOILER CONTAINED!!
No.I had to chase a bunch of villagers out of the area because the Decepticons were attacking, then -->> had to protect Optimus Prime's corpse <<--. There were a shitload of us out there.
The food and catering was awesome. A lot of downtime. Just like a deployment.
I did an interview for the DVD. We will see if that is on it too. The asked me a bunch of questions about the military. The autobots are behind me on top of a sand dune. I did a GM plug. They liked that.
Micheal Bay loves the military. I got to speak with him very briefly. He gets so angry on set at the actors but doesn't dare yell or demean the military. It was a trip. He said something to me like do you want a job as a DA (Directors Assistant), I said hell yeah. He was getting pissed at his DA. His DA was like trust me you dont want this job.
I have two closeup shots if they do decide to put them in the movie. One was walking with the camera on the tracks going along with me but at a slower pace. The camera was right on the side of my face following me but at a slower rate. There were two others behind me. The other close up was while I was defending from a corner of a building on one knee. The boom camera went from the ground to over head of us all. I was up front in the scene. The camera came up to my face then began to ascend over the area. It was pretty cool.
Another scene was Optimus getting dropped off by a chinook. I had to run up to the area then stop as Optimus was getting dropped.
Another was with Josh and Tyrese when they argue with The President on the flightline. I am in the background.
As much time as I spent filming (9-10 hours a day for 4 days) I hope I am seen at least once. Hell I'll be happy to be on teh DVD.

POST #3 from another member -
=boM=-, nice spoiler with the corpse bit... not gonna go over well with the people who didn't wanna know. lol
POST #4
Maybe some one should edit the name of the thread.
Don't know if he stays dead, if it is in the begining or the end of the movie. They were secretive.
They never refered to him as being dead. They always said his body. So there no spoiler.
FIXED

not necessarily. Something else to consider: the popularity of the Animated series. Hot Rod/Rodimus may NOT be the next Autobot leader to make an appearance...Ultra Magnus might be. It would make sense- Optimus and he would be brothers and eventually additional armor would be needed to survive the subsequent fighting.
Just an idea...

With that said, it would not surprise me to watch Optimus die. However, if I was directing the movie I would not kill off my star if I was planning on making a third installment. No sir. What I would do is lead the audience to believe Prime is dead, then after the credits roll I would show the fallen hero's face to see a glint of blue spark in his eyes.

What I do not like is Optimus being killed. Personal preference. I like Prime, I have always liked Prime (he was my favorite when I was watching G1 back in grade school), and I always want him to be alive.

I mean, seriously, Bay isn't going to flirt with career suicide by killing off Prime and actually leaving him dead! Spielberg wouldn't allow it for starters and the writing team values breathing too much to risk pissing off the fans. If Bay suggested full on death of Prime the writers would bolt like scared rabbits.

Plus, the ROTF: Alliance comic shows that the Allspark fragment can reactivate any offline Transformer.

It's a rule.
The ultimate lesson can only be learned when the ultimate failure is experienced.
He will be back.
That is also a rule.
The Hero is reborn pure and victorious from the ultimate lesson.

Also, lol good luck ever being an extra in the business again. I'm sure when/if Bay sees this (if it's true), he'll make sure this guy doesn't work again. He left plenty of obvious hints to his identity, especially if the candid conversation he had with Bay and the cameras is true.

What I want to know is does he fade to grey when he does kick the bucket?
Posted by QBKiller94 on February 3rd, 2009 @ 5:47am CST
Bay will probably have him take a beat down before coming back to save the day. Besides, Prime is always getting his ass kicked before bouncing back in the G1 cartoon.

you see rumours are like chinese whispers, the more it gets said and spread around, the more it distorts and becomes something completely and utterly rediculous, half baked, and worthless...
people who are over-reacting to just a rumour.. calm down and move on to sweetners or de-caf, whatever your fired up on, lay off.. it isnt healthy.
look at it from the sideline point of view, and note a lot of the imagery of the battered prime thats been on empire magazine et al and the boot to the face he takes in the SuperBowl trailer. How many times have we all seen prime (regarless of continuity) getting totally trashed, yet some how being able to come out swinging and being the winner?
and for the record, prime didn't get offed in Armada, Energon, RID or Cybertron/Galaxy Force, he only was completely totalled in G1 in the movie, coming back in Dark awakening and then finally at the end of season 3 to fight the Hate Plague.
so as the man said in alien 3 "rumour control... here are the facts......"
wait and see, because remember, information on ROTF is a lot more scarce than it was when the first one came out. so from a neutralists point of view... take it easy, dont worry, take it cool and things will be ok (well until otherwuise stated)

Most of the popular super-heros(eg Superman)have died at least once and they always get reborn one way or another.
So,I think Prime's death and rebirth is a matter of time in the movie-verse too.

However, I don't mind him getting the s*** beat out of him near the movie's end. Just don't kill him for once.
Posted by Autobot13 on February 3rd, 2009 @ 5:38pm CST
1) Jetfire coming to the Autobots and combining with Prime will most likely be a key factor. If anyone dies it would be Jetfire (he's so old, and with the plot, it would be okay.)
2) Bay isn't a COMPLETE effing dumbass.
3) G1 died with Prime. Why would this be any different?
4) If he does "die" he'll come back after some epic battle. Probably. So he won't be dead for very long if any.

OP is chilling out on Earth. Then Soundwave crashes on Earth and shoots Optimus, driving him into a mechanical coma. Ratchet gets to work while the Autobots are fighting with no leader. Their forces start to weaken, then Optimus
comes back and kicks Decepticon ass.

In my opinion, it cheapened Prime's sacrifice when they brought him back to life, much in the same way comic characters are continually revived after a tragic death (i.e. Phoenix in the X-Men). And yes, I saw TF: The Movie in theaters back in '86, and felt the same way back then.
They didn't take a chance, Hasbro had them kill off Prime to make way for new characters, which equated into new toys, which means money. They were gonna do the same with Duke from GI Joe, but when they saw the backlash with prime, they changed it into a coma.

Well, yeah... I know all of this, but I still think that it made for some good storytelling.
