Not that that would compel me to buy it, but Shockblast/Laserwave is one of the few things I look back on fondly in the Energon cartoon. I mean, how many TFs were so badass that it took Unicron punching them into the surface of a planet to finally snuff them?

I dont know what they were going for, but it doesn't work for me.

OOOORRRR, ease off the repaints and make new figures? Maybe it's too early for new figures. I have much higher hopes for a subsequent movie toyline, like HFTD. Man there was pure awesomeness out of that line! I'm hoping for a repeat!

Random question: how can the cyberverse blackout be more screen accurate than the movie 1 voyager? Dear Hasbro please take my money and make a leaderclass version.

Has anyone looked at the S.P. under it? it looks different, lighting as it may be, but the face looks darker and the shoulders are darker. but really, all of these Shockwave repaints are just too ugly to be taken seriously. The first was good enough.....now lets see some leader class pictures so we can stop dry heaving over these repaints

I don't think lighting could explain that green color. If it's not accurate, then it's a printing error, not a lighting issue. I think it's probably accurate. They're probably going for some sort of G1/Devastator homage.

This is most likely an editing error, but ya never know. It would be cool if it were glow in the dark.

Seeing as all of the green parts on that and only the green parts on it are the grey parts on the actual Shockwave toy, I'm thinking this is a victim of either terrible photography/lighting or an epic Photoshop fail. I don't know why they'd do a repaint like that, especially since there have been two other possible repaints we've seen (the Galvatron-like one and the one with translucent parts).

dear hasbro, insted of repaints how about you release the generations/2010/RTS line in massachusettes. we went right from ROTF (seriously, we still have mudflap and jolt) to DOTM, and I missed out on SO FREAKIN MUCH. i want my lugnut

How the heck does a printing/editing error turn gray into bright green and not affect anything else?

I like it, that is if is ment to be an homage to the generic Shockwave's.

There's still quite a bit of grey parts on him still. Would that trump the miscolor theory?
Either way, he's ugly. If it's a repaint, no one will ever buy it. If it's a miscolor, it's going to make no one want to buy him. Poor Shocky, first you get a drone-ish role in DOTM, and now this? I almost want to buy this to apologize to him. (< This should be a tounge face thing, but I guess there's a slight glitch.)

Why are Transformers getting colorful like dinosaurs? I mean, birds are colorful, so Dinosaurs, THERAPODS ONLY, must have been colorful, but Transformers??? I just think the color combinations people put toghether for them is odd. Probably a pass if this is even released in the US, still an interesting figure. Also i'm not against the color combos, it's just interesting how they are becoming so colorful, wonder who thought of that .

Poor Shockwave, it's like they're bleeding him dry for colorscheme tests.

Mudflap and Skids are two shelfwarming shitstains and don't count.

Reminds me of the first time I puked on Bourbon Street. A personified form of Hand Grenades and King Cake. Might get him and paint the grey yellow to have a Mardi Gras Shockwave. It'll be the third one they'll sell.

and its actually the same shockwave toy

in my DOTM game theres an ad for dotm toys and shockwave is colored just like that lol
even prime and bumblebee seem to have there colors brightened a lil

but if it turns out it is a repaint then it looks like were not getting a leader shockwave(maybe)
but i wouldnt hope on it

and if it is really a repaint.........then i lost all hope in the dotm line lol

I think it's a misprint, far too similar to the original to be a repaint I think.

I'm beginning to wonder about the other two repaints we've seen, as they still haven't shown up as preorders anywhere that I'm aware of so I'm thinking they were just prototypes/test shots or something (maybe even KO's?).
