Well folks, after a whirlwind of rumors over the past month or so we finally have MP-25 confirmed as Tracks! A scan found from a newly released Japanese hobby magazine shows the him in all his grey proto-type glory. No details yet on accessories, exclusives, or release date. However we do get to see his very anime accurate robot and car mode, which looks like he will have no problem fitting in with your fellow MP Autobot cars! Looks nice; admittedly I never really liked tracks as a character, but i have a soft spot for the car. I really hope MP roadrage comes not to far after; like MP exhaust. I hope if they make roadrage she has her faceplate; or alternatively a more feminine facesculpt per Funpub's interpretation. Also it'd be funny to put MP roadrage next to Gens crosscut; he'd have a trope of amazon bodyguards XD

I hope that if this does get a repaint into Road Rage that it also gets a nice big Joe Camel decal on the hood so we can go through that fun again

Noticed the sculpting on MP-25 seems a big higher. Than the Previous Voyager Class Masterpiece toys.

Love the design and i'll be buying this toy.

Speculating the repurpose will be Road Rage.

Hoping a bigger Masterpiece toy like Galvatron or Blitzwing gets revealed by Takara in 2015.

Kudos to Seibertron. Saw it on FB. I'll be honest, I half expected a retool of Wheeljack when I heard the word...I should've known about the bird.

He looks sleek, I'll give you that. But very unstable in the torso. I like my Transformers
to have stable torso's, like MP Wheeljack/Optimus. The seekers are terrible.

I really have to question ... why Tracks? We have a fantastic Alternator/Binaltech Tracks. Why push this guy through when there are other characters who haven't received Masterpiece, or near-Masterpiece treatment.

Most G1 characters can be milked for cheap repaints and remolds anyway.

Just to clarify my point, Tracks can be done (as Alt/BT isn't exact I know) ... just down the track.

The details are good. He looks too slim though.

He should look bulkier. The G1 figure was quite cartoon-accurate, except the faceplate. The only way to surpass that with a masterpiece was to have the exact look of the cartoon character.

I told myself that i would only ger MP10 and MP Sideswipe. Then i also bought Soundwave. If you get him you also need to get all his tapes so i did. Then i saw MP Prowl for a nice price and before i knew it i had all three Nissan's. It didn't stop there because i also bought MP Wheeljack, Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus. I told myself a few days ago that the only figure that i would still buy is an MP Jazz but now that i see MP Tracks.....damn you Takara for making awesome figures!

Fun part: She was also recently featured in Chromia's mini-manga, though that's probably because they were pretty much cramming all known fembots into that one :lol:

Perhaps that's why Tracks is made slimmer than his animation model? Or was that just a weird angle?

I want Ironhide because I expect him to be a new size in the current scale (in addition to it simply being Ironhide), but good ol Tracks is one I had as a kid. I have a definite soft spot for the character.

Remember, the first wave of TFs in Japan was our combined '84 and '85 waves, so Tracks, Red Alert and Smokescreen are still 1st wave for them.
That being said, preordered. If anyone's looking for a G1 Tracks with paperwork and box, that'll be going on ebay today. Just sayin'

I'm getting ahead of myself but Roadrage could be very well the first female MP figure. If Tomy can give Exhaust (he never really was given a TF G1 release) a new head for the WJ mold, what more for Roadrage? I pray it's gonna be a humanoid feminized face complete with lipstick ( no sexism intended)

Road Rage was a so-called "companion release" with the Tracks reissue, based on the Diaclone release of the toy. Others of her kind include:

Crosscut (Skids)
Tigertrack (Sideswipe)
Clamp Down (Red Alert)
Deep Cover (Sideswipe)
Salvo, Shothole and Zaptrap (Insecticons)
Overcharge (Blitzwing)
Magnificus (Perceptor)
Exhaust (Wheeljack)

As such she only appeared in current fiction, not the original 1984-1986 series.
