High Wire and his teammates on the Street Action Team returned to Cybertron as heroes after the Energon Battles. As a result, they were among the first warriors enlisted by Anti-Blaze and the Mini-Con Council of Sages to fight the Mini-Con rebels. He is reluctant to return once again to battle, but he also knows that - combined as Perceptor - the Street Action Team is the most powerful warrior among the Mini-Cons, and the only one with a chance of going up against the Deep Space Mini-Con team and winning.

Profile: Greatest mini-con hero of the age. Friend to the people of Earth. Comrade-in-arms to Optimus Prime and the Autobots. Adverturer. Legend. The Street Action Team and their gestalt alter-ego Perceptor have been called all these things and more. No name gets more hits on a search of the mini-con datanet, and a crop of little Perceptors are even now working their way through primary programming all across the mini-con colonies. Perceptor is a veteran of two wars, an experienced space traveler and adventurer, and probably the most powerful mini-con warrior of all time, capable of holding his own against many of the mini-cons¡Ç larger kin.
Grindor, Sureshock, and Highwire actually never wanted fame. Adventure, yes. Excitement, sure. After all they decided to call themselves the Street Action Team for a reason. None of them have ever been comfortable in the limelight thought, and inevitably show up as Perceptor whenever called upon for a public appearance. It was a relief to all three of them when Anti-Blaze and the Council of Sages, called them into action.
With the breaking of the Sky Terror Team and the disappearance of Unicron and Soundwave, the insurgency is on its last legs. Perceptor remains in the field, hunting the last few die-hard rebels through the asteroid field, recapturing the fringe villages captured by rebel elements, and assisting with repairs wherever needed.
He lives for action and good works. Fame is bearable so long as he is able to continue with the life he loves. Leave public speaking and popularity to the politicians. Perceptor never feels more alive than when he rides his boosters across the gulf between asteroids, dodging laser fire and blooming clouds of fiery plasma, snatching victory from the inky depths of insurgent space.
Abilities: Individually, the members of the Street Action Team are not very formidable; they function as reservoirs of energy more so than as weapons platforms. All three of them can fire short-range ion pulse blasts from emitters on the tops of their wrists, but Highwire is the only one who carries any sort of heavier weaponry, boasting a heavy particle beam gun under one arm. All three are highly intelligent, fast and strong for mini-cons, but their strength lies in their combined form.
Unlike many other gestalt models, Perceptor functions as a single unit when combined. Long years of companionship, practice, and a native talent for co-processing decreases Perceptor¡Çs reaction time to a fraction or that enjoyed by most other Transformers. Perceptor is often moving before his opponents have even arrived at a course of action, giving him a profound edge.
He is also outfitted with a surprising array of weapons. The ion pulse blasts he fires from his hands are far more powerful than those of his individual components. Short-range rocket launchers are concealed within his shoulder panels, and a pair of high-intensity lasers utilize the mirrors mounted on his hips as focal points.
He is uncommonly strong for a mini-con gestalt, and is a vicious hand-to-hand combatant, using his long reach and the spinning vanadium blades on his legs to shocking effect in any close-range encounter.
Weaknesses: As with other mini-cons, the Street Action Team members are not as durable as larger Transformers. A determined and powerful opponent could conceivably rip Perceptor in to his component parts.[ Back To Top ]
As an individual, Sureshock is highly vulnerable to a well placed strike. He could be easily disabled by an opponent if surprised.
