Most of the time the figure never actually gets made because they need to purchase huge runs of 1000 or more figures from the factory and usually only get a few hundred pledges. I would rather see these guys pitch the idea to a 3rd party company that can afford the run and roll their dice. It just seems more professional instead of putting it on the fans with a sort of guilt trip to support the production run. If the idea is really that good they would surely get a 3rd party sponsor. Personally I expected actual transforming figures coming from the dream team of ex-Hasbro employees this company signed up. Ive decided to skip these pretenders and hope these guys come out with a better concept in the future. I still love the name of the company though.

I like the idea, and how they are tackling pretenders, but I need to draw some lines in the sand with my collection, and this may be one of them.
I might pick up one just to see what they are like, but I doubt I'll be a completest on this set.

If it's not too much, I'd advise going in on one on the kickstarter when it happens. You might be pleasantly surprised. Then you can decide to buy or not buy more.

I think the 4 inch to 5 inch Kickstarter made figures went for $30-33 each. These will be bigger and have more accessories, so I'd expect them to be a bit more than that.

didn't mean to imply brick&mortar retail release. I meant TFsource/bbts type. my B.
Id like to get the Master Force dec. pretender team myself if this happens.
