I don't know why Hasbro doesn't understand that. They're called action figures for a reason. The good guy needs a bad guy to fight. When I was a kid I always wanted the lead good guy and the lead bad guy. Not the lead good guy and his sidekick.
My thoughts exactly.
You can't play-fight with your figs if there's no enemy. What's the kid gonna do, sit OP and Bee down on a table and have tea?
And let's not forget that Bee's way out of scale as a leader class toy. I know scale is almost an afterthought as far as TF's are concerned, but at least keep him in relative scale, for Pete's sake.

Or retool it.![]()
But of course, they gave all of this up around Cybertron. Granted, the legion class of Cybertron was rather small. The movies ruined everything for us.

Agreed. I'm probably one of the few adult collectors who actually likes movieverse Bee, but I've never bought any "non-canon" version of Bee. Ever. To me, it's just a lazy way of milking a mold.
At least in G1, the repaints are actually their own characters.

Well, what goes down (hopefully) must eventually come up again. Until then, though, I'll stick to MP's and what few choice morsels might pop up in the Generations line like WFC Starscream and voyager Grimlock.

Er...well, it applies to the bodies of drowned people...![]()
Kind of fitting if you think about it. Hasbro drowning in a sea of overstocked Bumblebees...

Now let poor Megs be leader class size again, and we'll be your friends again, okay?

To be honest, the only leader class toy I truly treasure is the ROTF LC Optimus mold. But then, he was designed by one of the Takara guys who does Masterpiece figs, which is probably why he looks as screen-accurate as he does.
I like HFTD LC Starscream too, and I'd like him a whole lot more if his alt mode wasn't bloated from all those batteries, voice chips and speakers.

I know where you're coming from. Most of the time, I can't transform a modern TF without the instructions sheet. But DOTM Ironhide seems to be pretty simple; I don;t have the fig, but that's what everyone says. ROTF Megs, too. He's probably the simplest LC there is, next to Ironhide.
As for the Weaponizers, I'd rather they be more complex than deal with the sacrifices they made to the figs. Bee had faux wheels on his forearms, and OP shouldn't have fake chest plates as an LC toy.
And they're not cheap, either.

But if you mean the arm cannon, yeah, it's annoying. Damn thing makes a blasting noise every fricking time I move the arm around. In fact, that stupid thing is the reason he doesn't have an elbow; to accommodate the wire.
You know, ROTF Megs is actually a decent representation of he CG model if not for the arms--hulking proportions, accurate head-sculpt. I've seen some kitbashers who made him look awesome with customized arms.

PrymeStriker wrote:You know how you move his arm and it makes some sort of bashing sound? Yep, don't have to touch him for that to happen.
Also 'I am Megatron!' keeps playing whenever I place my finger on his chest.
I have nothing against the figure itself. I just don't like him, and he's in a box with a bunch of other Transformers that I didn't get a chance to get out from the great move 2 years ago. Let him annoy them.![]()
Same thing with Movie 1 Prime and his sounds.

You need to try Masterpiece Megatron.Hotrodimust wrote:I really don't find any transformer hard to transform and I never use the instructions. ROTF LC OP takes a little time to get the arms lined up while putting him in alt mode but that's it.

But still not a fan of this mold with its wimpy left arm, Even if it is giving the finger.I keep mine in Tank mode because my version is possessed. It randomly glows and makes transformation noises in robot mode. Its sometime caused by suttle vibrations by simply walking near it.Wonder if we may still get a Leader DOTM Megatron based on the Mach truck mode. The Voyager was great But no real menacing next to Leader Optimus or Sentinel.

He doesn't have a wire in the arm, all the electronics are in the torso. He doesn't have an elbow because of the missile.

I think he does have a wire in his arm, to activate the blasting sound every time the missile fires.
It can't be just the missile, as the mechanism would take no more space than the forearm to work. LC Starscream's missile pod took even less space.
