It looks FANTASTIC with the golden version of the Dr. Wu 'Sworo' too! I don't think I knew there was a gold version.

I ordered the gold version specifically for this Grimlock and it's working out well, especially how tight Grimmys ratchets are to wield such a heavy weapon.

In my case, Quality of the materials and some QC.

Been a victim of a headless United Wreck-gar, MP-10 Convoy foot panel misplacement, Piranacon bent sword, misaligned GF Soundwave. Q.C.(or was it the design?)

For Materials, I'd say Superpants Amada Prime (broke two elbows) before I went for the Japanese version. And Overrun minicon for Supercon Prime.......the wing just broke. Also had the unfortunate experience of having a cracked chest compartment hinge connector of Grand Convoy Dx version. Last but not the least to Prowl 2 power up version. His shoulder joint just broke. Same with MP-01 "Megatron" and Cosmic rust MP-05 Megatron.

I know its a kids toy but for the thing to just break for no reason? :BANG_HEAD:

difference in toys from last years Generations toyline to the year before

Postby souf » Tue Feb 26, 2013 12:27 pm

Is it just me or does this latest batch of Generations figures made from a weaker form of plastic. They just don't seem like they can hold up as well as previous ones. or evan the beast hunter toyline. Any thoughts on why or am I just wrong in my asumption.

You're quite right. Hasbro REALLY cut costs on the FoC deluxes. Not only are they abhorrently thin and hollow, the plastic quality is noticeably lower than average.

I really hope it's a trend that doesn't continue...

The Beast Hunter Deluxes are already back to being more sturdy. Well, as sturdy as the PRiD line was, but less sturdy than past lines have been. Only the FoC deluxes were stupidly cheaply made.

Good point, I had forgotten about the Lazerback figure on my shelf. I suppose we'll find out in a few months won't we?

I thought so I notice the differnce more so when I put my wfc Optimus next to my FOC Optimus. then I just got FOC Grimlock and his little arm in dino mode came un screwed and off like the 2nd day I had it. I already threw the box away. so couldn't return it for another (trying to figure out how to fix now.
