Transformers Movie Director Michael Bay was present at the 6th annual Visual Effects Society Awards, where the Transformers Movie won big, taking home four awards (see the story by clicking here), and talked briefly with IESB about the sequel to the film.

Bay went on to talk about the sequel and give some little hints of what we can expect on-screen next summer. Sadly, that's not going to include dinobots.

In the long run this is probably for the best.

As Awesome and Beloved as they are, I just could never see them translate properly into this type of media. It would just be hoaky.

Keep in mind the video will not load on my current computer, so I had to post this story without actually having seen it. I'm just going by what IESB reported in their transcript.

So, no dinobots is good, though I do hope they stick Grimlock in there somewhere, just not as a dinosaur.

I hope Bay's logic behind "no dinobots" doesn't rule out Arcee. Dinobots don't work because they can't really "disguise" themselves, now can they?

This is probably just Bay using that misinformation. Cause you know he said he'd leak false info about the movie and blah blah blah.

Didn't he say he was going to spead misinformation this time around? Like, right at the beginning of the project?

Although, yeah, Dinobots don't really fit the tone of the movieverse.
