And that's right, you'll be getting a whole lot of Skids and his twin brother Mudflap in the upcoming Transformers movie this summer, Dark Of The Moon. Images have surfaced on 4chan, revealing that Skids will be receiving a brand new figure in the Deluxe class. The young Autobot Chevrolet Beat is deco'd in black bright green and is well armed with a 'MechTech' gun. It is likely that Mudflap will also receive the same treatment with a brand new mold as well. Since the original source contains questionable content, the images can be viewed on Youtube. The images can also be found on ACToys.net.

'Bout damn time. Finally, a figure I actually like. This new Skids design is actually quite good. I'm not a big fan of the gimmicky weapon, but the rest is fine. Did they fix his face? He clearly has the buck teeth, but it looks like the rest of his face is level and symmetrical.

I think they did fix his face, and I might actually get this figure. I admit it. I liked the twins. I rooted for the twins. When they went up against Devastator, I worried about the twins. I might complain about how they could have been better. I might complain about how the "twins" should have been based on Sideswipe (who was in the movie as a character perhaps more like his Armada incarnation than the G1 version I like) and Sunstreaker. I might comment about how their G1 personalities would have provided a more neutral and mature sense of humor that would have avoided the "culture" vs. "race" debate. But I actually would like a good version of the movie twins, and this might be the first mold from the new line that I personally find superior to the previous one, so maybe I won't be looking only to the new Legends/Legends+ line for DotM.

You know, I like the alt mode, I like the colours in the alt mode ... but the colours kill the 'bot mode for me.

The mold looks great (especially in vehicle mode), but the grey in robot mode is quite off-putting. It does seem to be quite an improvement over the ROTF Skids, though.

Also some users made a comment that the mechtech weapons might combine into something. This theory is looking more probable. Colouring on the plastic is the same with each weapon (sure it could be just test colours). Just have to wait for a reviewer to have near enough most of the figures to test that theory. If it is true I am a sucker for build a figure sets.

Yeah, they obviously lied about it.
This figure looks alright. It's decent. But I wouldn't buy it because I don't like the head or the colors, and I have no attachment to the character. If they remolded his head and painted him blue and red, maybe.
Still not digging these mechtech weapons, but I guess they gotta have some kind of gimmick.

This actually looks really good. Probably the first DOTM figure I've seen that looks good. (The Megatron would, if he were bigger).

I like what I'm seeing from this new mold so far. I'll wait to pick it up until I see what role the twins play in DOTM, since I'd rather not buy new molds of figures that could be background characters/Jolt-esque bots...

Seems okay, one of the better looking toys so far. It will be interesting to see how Mudflap looks with this alt-mode.

Wow! That looks awesome! The alt-mode looks perfect, and the robot mode looks much better and sturdier than the older one. I'm definitely getting this one.

I skipped these guys the first time around so for me, if Mudflap looks as good as Skids, they will be my first and only version of the twins. Even if they get killed off in the first minute of the film in these new looks, they played a role in the last film, so I'd just be happy to have a good set of figures whether they spend a lot of time in the new look or not.
I don't know about that. The twins have that Hellboy thing going for them (one hand bigger than the other), and this head looks better than the original one to me (though I do not like the laziness of having the head visible through the windshield) to the point that I'm interested in seeing multiple reviews and making my final decision with toy in-hand.
As for Shockwave, I haven't seen a thing yet to be concerned. But I like RotF Voyager Megatron with his sea green paint scheme and "devil wing" cape look, so my opinion of Shockwave could be completely different from a lot of my fellow Seibertronians. From what I've seen of the new Voyager Megatron so far I'm not seeing a reason to get the new one, though I might if I think I can pass him off as a different character.
Especially for anyone who likes the twins. No point in exploring the anti twin comments in that case because you'll just get frustrated and angry and it's not worth it, in my opinion anyway.
And didn't we see them in the background as well and Bee when Sam was being treated by the medics or maybe when Prime was trying to get to his feet right before the final fight scene? I guess that's a reason for me to go watch that part of the movie again!

Great, like Kibble said, a figure that finally looks decent, but it's of one of the more ugly and minor characters. Meanwhile Prime looks like garbage.
Personally, I liked the last deluxe Skids very much. Right up until I got the Human Alliance figure and the deluxe fell by the wayside. So... even though I like this one somewhat, he's an immediate no buy because I still prefer my HA Skids.
On a completely off topic comment, I hope that they don't end up ruining the scouts for this line. I just bought Breacher last night and he's totally awesome. Hubcap before him. The scouts were oddly some of the best molds last time around.

Wow, I'm actually impressed, the new mold looks great. Except his head...it looks hilariously bad with all of the black paint apps, I'm sure once he arrives in the States and we get better pictures and video reviews it might look better, because the lighting in this picture

Looks like a definite improvement over the ROTF Skids; the mould (and transformation) might be fundamentally the same, but it looks more like a scaled-down Human Alliance figure...Which is good! 
So yay! First DOTM figure I really like! (the Voyager Optimus looks really off; so I was hunting Battle Blades Prime nearly all day today; thank goodness I found one!)

Alt mode really pops. Bot mode, not as much as I'd hoped. For whatever reason, I enjoyed the twins in ROTF and Skids was easily my favorite of the two. The green just really grabbed my attention. Maybe seeing the movie will sway my opinion on the deco.

And that's right, you'll be getting a whole lot of Skids and his twin brother Mudflap in the upcoming Transformers movie this summer, Dark Of The Moon. I think they would work well in a battle scene as a little background humor to lighten up the darkness of what is likely going on just enough. As bit characters I think they would work very well. I'm just hoping Mudflap gets a nice new mold like Skids and both make good robots because I'm not getting just Skids as he's pointless without his twin. Of course, if Mudflap does not have an improved mold like Skids does, both are out for me. Not that leaving them on the shelves is a bad thing considering all the Generations and RtS as well as what we've seen of some of the new DotM toys. This movie could provide some very cool Decepticon army builders.
