There have been several Springers come out in recent years but none of them were Triple Changers, not anymore this latest version features all three unique modes: car, helicopter, and of robot. This incarnation of Springer is heavily influenced by his appearance in IDW's Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers as drawn by Nick Roche.
Our last Blitzwing figure was a Triple Changer, but came out in the highly stylized Transformers Animated line. This version will feel much more at home on a collector's neo-G1 shelf, but retains the Transformers Animated characters three face gimmick.

I have a couple of questions, if Seibertron comes around here.
First, were you able to peg the arms to the top of the jet? It wasn't real obvious in the pics, and I know one reviewer had issues, while it looked like Peaugh was able to do it.
Second, did you notice any issues with Springer's hood/fenders? From the pics it looks like there's a nice gap in car mode. But, the rest of the seams look good. Again, there was one reviewer who had issues, that I recalled.
Thanks in advance, and once again, awesome galleries!!

Gracias!

I didn't have any issues with mine. I did do the Blitzwing arm fix by taking apart the torso and sanding some parts down.

The biggest issue I had with Springer was with his windshield in armored car mode. I couldn't get his left side of the windshield to stay in place. It kept popping out. After tinkering with it some more, I got it to line up as good as I could get it simply by making sure that all of the other pegged spots were pushed in very tightly. Once everything else was pressed in properly, the left side of his windshield seemed to stay in place.
These are two of my favorite figures in a long time. Excellent figures. Having Blitzwing next to Octane and Astrotrain shows just how much Transformers have changed since their releases back in 2008 and 2006. Blitzwing blows those two toys out of the water.

Now Springer needs Sandstorm and Broadside. He's outnumbered 3 to 1.

I hope they do a new Astrotrain and Octane as well. Those figures aren't in the same league as the new Blitzwing and Springer. Astrotrain is my personal favorite plus he gets a total of 3 repaints (the white, grey, and dark grey versions) plus "Tankor" was one of my least favorite figures from the past 4 or 5 years.

It is basically confirmed that we're getting a Sandstorm from the same mold.
Hey, Seibertron. You oughta put a few images of Blitzwing with RTS Lugnut and ROTF Lockdown as they are basically Neo-G1 figures originating from Animated. The three look good together, trust me.

I think that was a digibash. The one fuzzy image we have appears to be a new mold. (Can't find the image. It was on Generations Metroplex's packaging.)
Edit: Here's the image from Metroplex packaging:
Here's the digibash:
I suppose they might be the same mold, but with extensive mold modifications.

Sandstorm appears to be a slight retool of Springer (note the identical cockpit sections), but also features a modified transformation. The ends of the wings appear to have giant wheels on the bottom, so i'm guessing his vehicle mode will look more like a dragster/dune buggy than Springer's armoured car.

I wouldn't worry too much about Sandstorm. This mold looks like it was made to be repainted as Sandstorm. (Why else would Springer's car mode look like a dune buggy with big, knobby tires?) As for Broadside, if they don't make him a Voyager (or bigger), and make his plane mode resemble a carrier-transported fighter plane (like the F-14), they're doing him a disservice.
As for Blitzwing, I'll miss his MiG-25 Foxbat jet mode. His Mitsubishi (model unknown) M.B.T. mode? Not so much. I hate that they forced him to keep the triple face/personality gimmick from Animated Blitzwing. To me, Blitzwing only hade one personality: loud-mouthed jerk.
"Contracts, like bones, are meant to be broken!" (wishing his new profile mentioned his love of the "zone defense" and the "long bomb".)

That would be hilarious. Maybe in an expanded profile or as a quote in upcoming IDW comics. (hint hint)

Broadside should be so easy to do. One mode is just a flat boat.
Plus, I've said this before, he can be repainted into Flattop. Boom! Two figures
"Tell me what's on your mind, or I'll splatter it on the wall and see for myself!"

And that's why he's awesome
Great galleries. The shot with Astrotrain and Octane definitely looks funny. Those 2 look like statues compared to BW. I still like them both in their own way though, so I'll be happy to complete the trio.
The colours on these figures are brilliant. Not really digging G1 BW's face though. It's alright. I'm actually liking the animated monical eye the most. The Halloween mug doesn't look quite evil enough. Ah well, least we have options.
The weapon integration could be better on Springer, but this is MUCH better than general figures.

I actually hadn't seen that digi-bash yet. I should have specified that I meant a re-tooled version of the mold. I'm excited for it. Those wing-hover-thingies look hella-cool.

I'm not sure if I have it correctly or not, but this achieved the look of the cannon that I wanted from the front to make it look like the G1 version of this toy (though it looks like from this angle that I had more clearance for the nosecone to point down further).

Your nose cone goes down just as far as mine it looks like. But you don't have the chest all the way back and locked in place, that is why the cannon goes all the way up.

yes I have. That is what I meant, mine just won't go any farther. It even shows in the instructions that the nose cone is supposed to tuck away more.

When I get done with my shoulder fix, I'll see if I can snap a couple of pictures for you. I could get my nose cone in between the barrel holding piece. My problem was I felt like I was going to break that piece when I folded the barrel up into place. That part is tight.

I have a couple of pictures for you of what I think you are trying to do. Have you had any luck yet? The cannon takes some force to put into the correct position.

He is impossibly ancient, brought online in a time before the long memory of his Autobot comrades even began. He is a living artifact of an era when Cybertron was united, and needed defenders only against hostile outsiders. It is his memory of that peaceful past that drives him to fight for the Autobots. It is hope for the return of peace that motivates him to crush every Decepticon he can see beneath his mighty feet."
The biggest Autobot ever is over 2 feet tall and he's going to crush his Decepticon foes! This enormous 3-in-1 Metroplex figure's glowing eyes will make even the fiercest Decepticon think twice about taking him on. His lights and sounds make the action even more intense! In robot mode his firing missile will take them down, and he converts to battle vehicle mode when he needs some enormous firepower! He even converts to fortified city mode for massive adventures! He comes with a Scamper Legends figure to fight at his side. Make your Transformers adventures gigantic with this awesome Metroplex figure!

While I welcome such a move, I'd much rather see a Decepticon counterpart come out first: more specifically, Metroplex's rival, Trypticon. In the same size in height, please.
If they do indeed retool this into Fortress Maximus, I ask that they retool the head for the Headmaster-ception gimmick and also make his corresponding rival, Scorponok.

Has a toy roughly his size actually been significantly repainted by Hasbro in recent years? I'm talking genuine new decos, not color variants or new stuff added.

It was about damn time Metroplex would hit the Generations toys line! Of course, now, we NEED a Trypticon update like Metroplex got!
If this figure gets a re-deco, it will surely be Metrotitan.
Having a Generations Fort Max would be amazing too, and he would maybe regain his title as the biggest Tf ever made.. by towering Metroplex by a foot or two...
