These prototype images give us a great look at the massive amount of detail the new Siege figures have. The painted figure's details don't pop as much as the prototypes, but that detailing is still there, and looks pretty good.
We also get some nice stock images for the upcoming weaponizer Sixgun, one of Metroplex's little companions, Ravage and Laserbeak, who make up Soundwave's Spy Patrol, and battlemaster Aimless.
These figure are all due out next year, with the Ironhide mold also being used for Ratchet and Starscream being used for Thundercracker, and maybe more if we get more exclusives.
Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of these new pictures below!

It's the lighting and stastic pose. It make everything look bland and 'washed out'.

It's weirder still that Sixgun has any battle damage at all. I don't think Cog or Brunt have such, do they? I thought the Weaponizers and Flywheels/Skytread were exempt from the whole "battle weathered" paint apps thing.

Brunt has battle damage on his hands/arms which become his front treads. The only battle damage I can see on Cog looking at his stock photos is some barely noticeable white spots on his arms that aren't pins, but I can't really tell if that's intentional or not because of how hard to see it is. I can only assume it is.
EDIT: Baltmatrix has put up a review for Skytread, and the notion of him not having battle damage can now be put to rest:

And for fun, computer rendering vs stock photos --
Some parts are painted differently, final product has more red & black --
Also, these are all up for pre-order on HLJ, Ami Ami & Anime Export. I think I'm going to skip to batch though.

Also that one Sideswipe/Six-Gun pic makes me wonder how hard it would be to use Six-Gun and possibly Cog as well to make a giant Weaponizer gun-hand, seeing that those four guns on his back section can be positioned differently. That picture has an almost complete gun-hand by itself, it just needs a thumb.
...I don't know why Six-Gun immediately became my most anticipated figure of this line, but I'm okay with the fact that he did.

Wonder if it could be a good alt hand for a combiner, like a power hand or something. (Really it could be an excuse to increase the amount of characters in a combiner)
"I'll form the torso and head!"
"We'll form the arms!"
"We'll form the legs!"
"I'll form the torso armor!"
"I'll form the gun!"
"I'll form the hand!...what?"
(That's just going by the standard CW combining system, in fiction you could get even more ridiculous, like the combiner also being a head master.)

You don't need a thumb to punch a guy.william-james88 wrote:But is it still a fist if there is no thumb?
Edit: The thingy that might be the thumb looks like it has a 5mil peg. Maybe you can stick another part on there to make a thumb? Sideswipe's rocket launcher part?
Good eye, Emerje! That is rando, but cool.

This time around, we've got some comparison pictures of SIEGE Battle Masters WFC-S1 Firedrive, WFC-S2 Lionizer, and WFC-S3 Blowpipe alongside their other versions and with other toys from this line. Each Battle Master comes with "fire blasts" which are soft PVC attachments which simulate blast effects that can attach to the Battle Masters and other SIEGE figures.
If you missed the news this past weekend, War for Cybertron SIEGE Battle Masters were already found at retail.
Don't forget to check out our new galleries of War for Cybertron SIEGE Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Megatron.

This time around, we've got some comparison pictures of SIEGE Micromasters WFC-S4 Roadhandler and Swindler, WFC-S5 Storm Cloud and Visper, and WFC-S6 Topshot and Flak alongside their other versions and with other toys from this line. Each Micromaster is a modern take on their G1 Micromaster versions but also can now combine into a weapon which larger Transformers action figures can utilize.
If you missed the news this past weekend, War for Cybertron SIEGE Battle Masters were already found at Target stores. You can find the DPCI codes in that article as well.

I prefer the Takara Legends take on the G1 Targetmasters.
I don't have any of the Siege ones in hand, but I have to agree just from seeing the pictures alone. I'll be sticking with my Legends Targetmasters for sure. I'll be happy to pick up some of the "new" Siege Battle Masters, like Lionizer and Pteraxadon, but I also don't want to miss out on the blast and laser fire effects that only come with the only the Battle Master class. Damn, Hasbro has really made it hard NOT to double dip in this case.

I can't really see it either. It basically looks like a car on top of a car. In addition, they don't seem to hold together very well either, nor does the Battle Patrol, unless I'm doing something wrong. By comparison, the Air Strike Patrol snaps together very well.

Yah the colors are off to me as well. Especially Firedrive, who is basically white now instead of gray or silver.

Fun fact: The DeLorean is actually a very well-designed car. The problem was that they couldn't get the engine they wanted for it, and as such it was woefully underpowered when it went into production. Someone replaced the engine in one and it was apparently a dream to drive.
Even more ironically, Mr. DeLorean was actually more the Swindled than a Swindler; his company was close to bankruptcy and he got unwittingly roped into a drug sting operation (being told he could save his company). As it happens he won the trial on grounds of entrapment, but his reputation was wrecked and the company fell apart.
Poor, poor Mr. DeLorean.

they do look very similar in design so maybe not retools exactly, but the point is just that, they are new molds (almost up-scaling of the legends design) and that money and time could have been better spent taking the legends mold and giving it more articulation.

Maybe the Legends Targetmaster molds didn't conform to Hasbro's toy standards. Like, if they had too many tiny pieces that small children could choke on or something.autobot00 wrote:Cobotron wrote:But they're not retools of the Legends Target Masters. They're completely new sculpts/molds.

In other words, Takara in their Legends day just sold whatever the hell they wanted and it was aimed at fanboys and collectors in the same kind of market things like S.H. Figurarts and Revoltech were. Hasbro meanwhile still intend to stick to a model which is based off 1980 toy selling because it's still (kind of) working.

Or more likely: they were too expensive to produce for their size, especially with the metal pins.
