Paramount Bringing Back Dark Of The Moon in Imax 3D?

Did you miss seeing Dark Of The Moon for whatever reason in its short run in Imax 3D? Perhaps your local Imax didn't show Dark Of The Moon in favor of another movie? You just might get a second chance. Michael Bay stopped by his S4TE forum to add his two cents in a "Bring back TF3 in Imax 3D" thread.

MichaelBay wrote:I think they are really considering re releasing Transformers on IMAX again. From what I heard from Paramount.

Michael Bay didn't give any time table as to when this would happen or if there would be any addtitional footage added to the film. Keep it here at Seibertron.com for more info as it is released.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

I'm sorry to hear that. Really, the drive-in is the best place to see these movies. Unfortunately I have moved to a place where the nearest one is like 1 1\2 away now. I did see the first two that way though. Crank the bass and let the sound immerse you in your car. Is way better than the IMAX.

I never got to see it in IMAX 3D. I may go and watch it again if I'm bored at some point. That is...if they re-release it. :CON:

to anyone who's seen the same movie (regardless if its TF or not) in both IMAX 3D and just regular 3D (like RealD), is there even an actual difference?

the few 3D movies i've seen where all RealD and i can't even imagine what difference there could be. i mean RealD doesn't even look any different or better than the lame 3D of the 80s, its just more consistent and actually works. lol but as far as the actual effect, its identical.

I saw DOTM twice in RealD 3D and once in IMAX 3D. IMO I couldn't tell the difference between the two visually. Both 3D formats looked the same to me. I did think the RealD 3D was more noticeable then IMAX 3D. But IMO IMAX 3D had better sound quality in the theater then the Real D 3D. That is just my opinion.
