No offense Savage, but judging from this listing, it looks like a 3rd party seller threw this up, and may not be reliable.
Of course I would love to have this DVD in September, but I think late November, early December would be an accurate release date.

I work for a retail store (FYE)and we've got RotF dated for a release of October 20th.
That would be along the lines of the release of the first one. I remember it had been
released a couple weeks before I started working there the week of Thanksgiving in '07.

The proprietary listing (as in sold by and shipped by Amazon) doesn't have a release date. Moreover it doesn't have a preorder option yet.

I'd heard 24 October...somewhere, so anything a month *earlier* than that smacks of pirated to me. Yarrrrrrr.

I wonder if there are going to be exclusives like when Wal-mart sold the DVD of the first movie with an animated version of IDW's Prime Directive.

Joblo's DVD release dates does not have it scheduled and they are pretty reliable.

I pre-ordered a Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen single-disc DVD yesterday...via Amazon.com. (I may eventually get a Revenge of the Fallen two-disc DVD.)

Yeah, I think September is too early as well. I had heard October 20th (Tuesday) before, as well as the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, 5 weeks later. Either works for me, as long as it's by Christmas. Do you remember only 3-4 years ago it took 8-10 months for a DVD to hit the stores after a movie's theatrical release, regardless of how it did at the box office? I wonder why they're shortening the time...

Why does it have 2 so early... I don't have anything against that, but It would make sense if they do it late November, because they would have profit during the Holiday season, but whatever.

you gotta remember TF1 came out beginning of July '07 with the dvd dropping in late Oct. -if I remember correctly. That's 4 months apart as well, if they're planning on a Sept. release for TF2.

I would begin to hope that it would be in Sept., but Oct. is reasonable. I can't survive on the bittorrent version forever.
