I can do a bit, but i'm mostly IT. Wonder if they need some specialized rendering systems built. Maybe a few quad tesla systems. I can help with that. I can guarantee they wouldn't blow up when rendering underwater robots.

Oh, boy! I just sent them my resume... here goes nothing!
It's pre-viz, so those selected guys will get to know a lot of the story. That part of pre-production consists on using animated polygonal proxies for videos that help plan camera angles, movements, flows, lenses, etc., instead of using hand-drawn storyboards.

Hope you get a spot dude, and if you do, be sure to give us an inside scoop.

This is quite concerning, why does Dreamworks need Maya animators? Its not like there is a shortage of professionals wanting to work for them.

Who's Bay pissed off this time?

Yes, good luck. Just don't get fired lol

Man, if only they delayed the movie another 10 years or so, when I'm a pro animator. :-( Any chance they'd except Pre-viz Stop-Motion?

One other thing: maybe the movie FX are going to be so big, they need extra help to get it done in time.

Ummm...I can draw stick figures. Does that count? Maybe they need an on-set RN with emergency medical experience that's also a massage therapist...(how's THAT for diversity?) :???:

In ten or twenty years time, the studio will be wanting people to update the TF movies, as happened with the Star Wars movies. They will need people to untangle the messes or, alternatively, to insert even more in-your-face stuff to satisfy future audience desires for OTT films.

Maya does this mean that TF 3 could be based or have something to do with Mayan religion and maybe a 2012 refrence since TF 3 is going to be release almost near 2012 maybe Mr. Bay wants to add in something from the Mayan Religion.

Umm Maya is a form of visual scripting. Maya = graphics like Java = script

Actually, they are referring to Autodesk's Maya (formerly Alias/Wavefront Maya.)
It's not a graphics language, it's a 3D graphics software. Most studios use it as its main 3D software because of its customization capabilities, which allow it to be integrated within many workflows. This means that a studio might use Renderman and MentalRay coupled with Maxwell Render or VRay for its rendering workflows (or parts of each -like ambient occlusion, specularity, diffuse, etc.- to be integrated later in post) and use Maya's shading networks to leave the 3D models UVs and textures ready to be rendered by said rendering workflow. The same happens with rigging/animation, lighting, dynamics simulation, VFX, etc. And its out-of-the-box tools for all of this (modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, dynamics simulation, rendering, etc.) are powerful enough that it lets you use it for your entire production workflow. The 2010 version includes dedicated software for match moving workflows and node based compositing projects (MatchMover and Toxik.) As for scripting, Maya uses Python and MEL (Maya Embedded Language.)
In short... it's extremely flexible and powerful.

Sorry My Bad, I think they are using this to make more new bots for the teams maybe more than Revenge Ever had in it plus they could use this and the guys behind Devestator to bring in Unicron.

Also I think it is now time for Galvatron, I mean come on people arent you tired of seeing the mode badd-ass villian getting kicked around so much and even bye humans.

I mean they dont have to bring in Galvatron right away in the movie but at a certain point into the movie and make it tie in with the movie. He would still basically be the same as before just more upgraded and more powerful with some new more advanced weapons.

Also I would like for in TF 3 for the movie to be opened up with Megatron narrating it instead of OP, it would make more since in TF 3 to be opened up that way and have the movie to be opened up with the Decipticons on 1st then the Autobots on later on.

Be something like this, We have suffered a major defeat at the hands of the Humans Hive and those rithced Autobots, But this has also put me into position to become the Ultimate Leader for the Decipticons. We have been slowly watching are foes and building up our new Army and now the time has come to have one last battle. But Ive been feeling some enormus dark force from beyond space calling me but I dont know who or what this dark entity could be.
