Info on Michael McConnohie (voice of G1 Tracks and Cosmos) and his next convention appearance

We'd like to thank Sharon Dean, appearances manager of Michael McConnohie for sending us this interesting info regarding an upcoming convention appearance for him. Transformers fans know him the best as the voice of Tracks and Cosmos on the G1 Sunbow Transformers cartoon, although he later did voice acting, writing and directing work for the Transformers: R.I.D. series as well. As some of you will remember, Michael was also a guest at BotCon 09 in Pasadena, CA.

MICHAEL McCONNOHIE - Transformers writer, director and voice of Tracks / Cosmos / Hotshot / Ironhide, will be a guest at ARMAGEDDON EXPO in New Zealand March / April 2010.

Botcon Exclusive Repaint #1 is....

Rapido! Rapido! We're not talking about the speed of yours truly, or the speed of our news. We're referring to an exclusive figure from the big show itself - Botcon. Earlier in the week, robust news administrator Mkall reported that Botcon would have a Generation Two theme. All the cards are pointing in that direction, as Transformers insider and Energon Pub member s250 has updated his twitter with this message:

TFSource- Fansproject 'Warbot' to ship from China Next Week

In a post update on their FACEBOOK page, site sponsor TFSource shared the good news that the new Fansproject third party creation Warbot is being shipped from China next week, and that they (TFSource) should be getting them the following week.

This means for those of us ordering this third party transformable representation of our favorite distance jumping Wrecker from G1, we should be seeing them shipped to us right around the beginning of April.

While third party projects are a mixed bag for quality, being unofficial and all and created by smaller companies with less resources, Fansproject has been quite successful with their fan created items, the most popular being the City Commander Armor Upgrade for Classics Ultra Magnus (or any of the subsequent releases for the repaints of said mold).

Will Warbot be found to have the same quality, and be as satisfying for collectors who would really like a quality, poseable, original mold, SPRINGER? We'll find out in a few weeks.

Another thing to be watchful for is how HASBRO reacts to this. Blind eyes have been turned toward previous releases, but this may be stepping across the intellectual properties line. The outcome will certainly effect Fansprojects future products like the Crossfire Munitioner ( a new G1-esque Swindle with U-Bruticus accessories), and Crossfire Explorer (a new G1-esque Blastoff with U-Bruticus accessories) sets.

In Package Images of Toy Hobby Gentei Dark Skyfire

Actoys member xiaotao78 has uploaded the in-package images of Toy Hobby Exclusive Dark Skyfire.
This is much of the same compared to the other Japanese exclusive toys, as Dark Skyfire is imprisoned inside the black and white box! As Toy Hobby has started to ship the toys, be sure to check your mail box for the incoming figure!

Toy Images of Transformers ROTF EZ Collection Devastator (G1 Colours)

Feeling a little green? Our Japanese friend - Alfes 2010 has got his hand on one of the newest Takara Transformers. It's Revenge of The Fallen EZ Collection Movie Devastator in Generation One Colours.

The packaging of the toy is similar to Hasbro Version Legend Class Devastator and this is the repaint version, paying homage to Devastator's G1 counterpart.

G1 Colour EZ Devastator has been released in Japan and some Asian countries.

Transformers Writer Shane McCarthy Blogs About IDW's Next Series--'Drift'--

Writer Shane McCarthy--The IDW Transformers's scribe that was most famous for writing the highly criticized series, TRANSFORMERS: ALL HAIL MEGATRON--has updated his blog today with a blurb about the upcoming DRIFT series that was revealed through an Amazon.com listing, and then confirmed by Chris Ryall on his blog.

;quot;This is something I;rsquo;ve been working on over the holidays and it;rsquo;s been an absolute joy but seeing the artwork coming through has been the highlight. Alex Milne is the artist I;rsquo;m working with this time around and his pages have been breathtaking. The final page of issue 1? Wow.

Right now I;rsquo;m wrapping up on issue 4 and bringing the whole story to a close. If Alex has been wowing me so far I;rsquo;m prepared to be at a loss for words when he hits the final issue.

Transformers 3 - Josh Duhamel to return as Major Lennox, script is now finished

In some not-so-shocking news, Josh Duhamel officially confirmed today that he will in fact be part of Transformers 3.

Here's the scoop, courtesy of comingsoon.net

While it was expected, it was not confirmed yet whether Josh Duhamel would return as Major Lennox in Transformers 3.

Duhamel told us today at the Las Vegas ShoWest convention that he met with director Michael Bay yesterday, that the script is done and they're preparing to start filming in the summer. So yes, he will indeed be back alongside Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Tyrese Gibson.

Transformers 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

KO of Lucky Draw Gold Henkei Convoy has been produced

Some of the rarest of the rare Transformers finds have always been the ultra limited ;quot;Lucky Draw;quot; figures.

One such figure has been the TV Magazine Gold Henkei Convoy, a gold chromed version of Classics/Henkei Optimus Prime. Until now, the chances of the average Transformers fan even finding one, let alone affording one have been slim.

That is until now, sort of. GenZhao of KOtoys.com has officially announced a series of KOLD figures (Knock Off Lucky Draw) that will begin with KOLD LE 01 GOLD OP. If all those abbreviations flustered you, the figure is actually a knock-off version of Gold Henkei Convoy and will be limited to 250 pieces.
