Michael Bay slams the critics (of Megan Fox)

There has been a lot of recent bad press in the media lately indicating a posible rift between live action Transformers franchise director Michael Bay and actress Megan Fox. Here at Seiberton.com we have chosen not to report on most of that, because it is often hard to distinquish the gossip from the reality.

However, couresty of USA TODAY's entertainment blog, we have comments from Michael Bay himself who recently came to Megan's defense at of all things, a Victoria's Secret show. As you may remember, Bay has been directing Victoria's Secret commercials.

There are many things one can expect at a Victoria;rsquo;s Secret show (mobs of press, crazy futuristic neon wings, bras covered in diamonds, a Black Eyed Pea, or three) but what we did not expect was a candid takedown of the press;rsquo; treatment of Megan Fox by none other than Transformers director, Michael Bay. (You may remember the outspoken actress has referred to him as a ;ldquo;nightmare,;rdquo; and ;ldquo;Hitler;rdquo; in recent interviews).

But it turns out, Bay couldn;rsquo;t care less. Really. ;ldquo;I love her,;rdquo; the man responsible for the blockbuster franchise told USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell. ;ldquo;It;rsquo;s just, she;rsquo;s young. Everyone;rsquo;s got to give her a break, she only;hellip;23? It;rsquo;s just hard. I;rsquo;ve traveled around the world with her and she;rsquo;s just like this world symbol now, you know?;rdquo;

So he brushes her diatribes under the carpet? ;ldquo;Absolutely,;rdquo; he said. ;ldquo;She called me (after the Hitler comment) and goes, ;lsquo;It;rsquo;s all bullsh;mdash;t, Mike.;rsquo; The press, they just like to prey, and stalk, and pounce and find a good little juicy thing. But she;rsquo;s always wanted to do these crazy comments. That;rsquo;s just her. She;rsquo;s great.;rdquo;

He also said, ;ldquo;She;rsquo;s got a great part in Transformers 3,;rdquo; and he said he;rsquo;s currently working on the script. So Bay;rsquo;s not planning on getting revenge by, say, killing her off? ;ldquo;No, no. no,;rdquo; he said, dismissing it. ;ldquo;She gets enough of that already.;rdquo;

Takara Website Update - Alternity Bumblebee & ROTF Toys

Takara Tomy has updated their website with new information on Transformers.

Firstly Takara has revamped the webpage for Transformers Alternity toy series and include the information for Transformers Alternity Bumblebee.

Other new information are updating of Transformers Revenge of The Fallen toy section, with figures such as RA 24 Buster Optimus Prime, RA 25 Human Alliance Skids, Arcee and Mikaela and others.

The website also updated the interview section with new Transformers designers, this time is interview with Hirinori Kobayashi.
Mr. Kobayashi is famous for his work on Transformers ROTF Buster Prime, EZ Devastator, Masterpiece Grimlock and Armada Unicorn.
Unfortunately the interview is in Japanese, we hope to see translation of the interview soon.

Transformers Ongoing #1 sells out, second printing to be released December 2nd

While reaction towards IDW Publishing's Transformers #1 has been mixed at best, the sales numbers apparently are much more positive. The following is a press release directly from IDW.

The new TRANSFORMERS comics era has begun! After just one day in stores, The TRANSFORMERS #1 is already sold out through Diamond, and IDW Publishing will rush its inaugural ongoing comic to a second printing. Under license from Hasbro, Inc., the second printing of The TRANSFORMERS #1 will be available in comic stores on December 2nd, featuring a new cover by series artist Don Figueroa.

The first ongoing TRANSFORMERS comic series in five years, The TRANSFORMERS is a must-read for old and new fans. The TRANSFORMERS #1 starts the series off with two huge events - the death of IRONHIDE and subsequent resignation of OPTIMUS PRIME, the heroic leader of the AUTOBOTS.

"Launching an ongoing series based on a world-wide franchise like Hasbro's TRANSFORMERS brand is not something we take lightly," said Andy Schmidt, IDW's TRANSFORMERS editor. "We know we have to make every issue count so that our readers are getting a great read every time and that our retailer partners are assured that they've got a product they can sell month after month. And this second printing is evidence that Mike and Don have succeeded at delivering exactly that."

The TRANSFORMERS is helmed by Mike Costa (G.I.JOE: COBRA) with art and covers by returning, artistic dynamo Don Figueroa. The ongoing series is also the launching point for two new miniseries, TRANSFORMERS: BUMBLEBEE and TRANSFORMERS: Last Stand of the WRECKERS, debuting in December and January, respectively.

The TRANSFORMERS #1 (second printing, 32 pages, $3.99) will be available on December 2nd. Diamond order code #OCT09 8086.

Ark Addendum: Webworld (part 5) and a special milestone

All week over at his "Disciples of Boltax" blog, Jim Sorenson has been treating everyone to an extensive series of sketches inspired by the G1 Transformers episode entitled "Webworld."

Jim has just posted Part 5, which finishes out the therapy portion of the backgrounds. We have excerpted a small image below for your convenience.

Also of note is a special milestone that Jim is celebrating in regards to his blog. We'll let him tell you in his own words.

Finally, this post is something of a milestone. My very first post was a year ago today. That makes today the one year anniversary of this blog. Looking back, there were exactly 300 posts in the first year (this is #301 for all time), an average of over 300 visitors per day and over 100,000 pageviews. In that time I've published two books, gotten married and seen blog contributors come and go. I like to think that we'll have as much to be proud of next year.

Leader Buster Optimus Prime Images: Packaging and Figure

A much anticipated Leader class figure is being released in Asia this weekend. An anonymous user of 2chan has jumped the gun and got the gun - and the figure that comes with it. We're talking about Leader Class Buster Optimus Prime, which at the moment is a Takara only version of Revenge of the Fallen Leader Prime that comes with a gun, and a Premium like finish. Check out the images below.

Also concerning Buster Prime, HobbySearch Japan has put up a listing for it, which gives us a first look at Buster's packaging.
