Henkei Skyfire--New Pictures Showing Details And Differences

ACToys has done it again, and again, and again. Consistently showing us pictures of soon to be released product before it is available at retail allowing consumers a good look at pieces that they may want to pre-order (or cancel pre-orders as the case may be).

Yesterday, it was Henkei Ramjet.

Today, it is Henkei Skyfire.

There are a few difference for you to take note of. First, the pimped out chrome booster thrusters (seems to be a common thread with the Transformers cool crowd as of late), the blue neck piece, and head details, and finally the different cockpit. Most of these and a few more details make it a bit more cartoon accurate than the CLASSICS Jetfire release.

Further Look at "The Ark II Compendium"

IDW Publishing's Editor in Chief Chris Ryall has once again updated his blog, this time with two new images from "Transformers: The Ark Compendium II", which will be released this week.

The included images are the final cover and a sample image from the book itself, which profiles all the characters from the Japanese Generation 1 series.

TF: Revenge of the Fallen Footage to be shown at Comic Con

IESB.net is reporting that footage for both the upcoming feature films G.I Joe the Movie AND Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be shown at this years San Diego Comic Convention.

...TRANSFORMERS 2 and G.I. JOE will both be showing early footage to fans during Comic Con 2008.

How do you see it? Attend the HASBRO panel!

Paramount will not be holding a panel for the films but will be giving HASBRO footage to show at their panel, there may even be a few surprises along with those as well!

Reign of Starscream #3 Seibertron Exclusive Review

Seibertron.com member Energon recently got the opportunity to review the upcoming issue of IDW's Reign of Starscream. Continue to scroll down to read her review. Be warned though, a few spoilers may be mentioned.

Reign of Starscream issue #3

I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible.

You can look forward to a host of characters in Reign #3 that you will recognize as having been hanging on pegs in the toy aisle at your local superstore. RoS 3 has an actively progressing storyline and you can count on interesting interaction from the likes of Starscream, Thundercracker and Arcee. I even like Arcee in this one. I don;#x2019;t like looking at her (even Alex;#x2019;s magic can only do so much). Her look is dictated by higher powers. What I like is that she is not put on a fembot pedestal. She is more warrior like. Arcee has had things happen in her past that marred her record and seem to still follow her around and she has worked hard to overcome that and so she is eager to prove her capability against the Decepticons.

Thundercracker who is obviouly being considered for second in command is eager to prove his worth. He does make a grand entrance. But you will have to read the story to see what happens as he tests his own mettle against the Autobots.

Chris Mowry in RoS 2 set you up to expect more action as a continuation in RoS 3. Not only can you expect some decent explosive battles, but the characters take an active role in deciding the action. Did I mention the robot carnage? There is a whole lot going on that is put into a short 22 pages.

Who does what to whom you ask, I wish I could say more, since there is a whole lot more, the best stuff I can't post. This is about Starscream after all. But I did get permission to post this image:

The technical stuff: The overall quality of this issue is excellent. No noticeable errors. The line art by Alex is just unbelievable and the skill with which it was colored by Josh (at least on my computer screen) is fantastic. I have read the story twice since I got the copy this morning and looked at some pages a whole bunch of times. I see more stuff the more I look at it. The story is great, Chris did an awesome job of putting everything together.

I love this Starscream. This is good stuff here.

Another New Chevrolet Vehicle Joins the Cast of Transformers Movie Sequel

It seems another new Chevrolet vehicle has been confirmed for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It appears the new hybrid-electric Chevrolet Volt will join the cast of vehicles along with the already confirmed Beat, Trax and new Camaro. No word yet as to whether or not the Volt will play the role of a Transformer or not.

Reportedly very different from the original concept, according to spokesman Rob Peterson the Volt is "getting very close" to a production-ready design, and versions have already been shown to a Los Angeles focus group. In addition the car will be featured (along with other GM products) in the upcoming Transformers sequel, which is filming now.

Transformers Sequel to Start Filming Again This Weekend?

The Transformers Movie sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, has taken a filming hiatus while the movie industry prepares for the possibility of a screen actors guild (SAG) strike, but now, thanks to info obtained by the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog, it looks like filming will be continuing (perhaps without SAG members) at the Edwards Air Force base in California this weekend, July 10th ; 11th.

Similarly, another casting call has surfaced for extras to play Jordanian/Egyptian soldiers for filming in July.
