Transformers Animated Vol. 13 - Five Page Preview

The soon to be released Transformers Animated Volume 13 has been previewed by the good folks at Comics Continuum. Check out the covers, descriptions and the preview below.

Transformers Animated Vol. 13 will arrive in stores on Feb. 10 from IDW Publishing. The issue is written by Marty Isenberg, with art by various others.

Here's how IDW describes the issue:

New Images of Takara Exclusive Ravage and Evac

While all of us here in North American and Europe will be having our hands full trying to obtain Hasbro's exclusive Recon Ravage - Takara has decided to join in on the fun by repainting Deluxe Ravage. Thanks to Ebay seller TFCToy, we get images of their exclusive Ravage. It looks to homage Generation One Ravage in robot mode. We also get more images of another repaint - Evac, a redeco of Blazemaster. Check out the images and links to each figure's auction below.

Ark Addendum Update: Incan Ruins

With guest-blogger Brian's recent review of The Dormant Volcano Mysteriously Erupts, detailing a disaster in Peru, I thought it would be nice to share some other Peruvian models. These models come from Fire on the Mountain and show the pyramid atop the Crystal of Power. I've got several other model sheets from this episode, so I'm sure I'll share them at some point in the future.

Hasbro reports 4th quarter and Full-Year 2009 Earnings

Hasbro, the company that brings us the wonderful Transformers toys that we love so much has issued a press release regarding their finances for the 4th quarter of 2009 as well as their totals for the entire year.

Here are some highlights.

PAWTUCKET, R.I., Feb 08, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS) today reported 2009 fourth quarter and full-year results. For the fourth quarter 2009, the Company reported net revenues of $1.38 billion, an increase of $144.1 million or 12%, compared to $1.23 billion a year ago. 2009 fourth quarter revenues grew 7% excluding a $55.4 million positive impact of foreign exchange. The Company reported net earnings for the quarter of $165.6 million or $1.09 per diluted share, an increase of $72.0 million or 77%, compared to $93.6 million or $0.62 per diluted share in 2008.

For the full year 2009, the Company reported revenues of $4.07 billion, an increase of $46.4 million or 1%, compared to $4.02 billion a year ago. 2009 revenues grew 3% excluding a $65.2 million negative impact of foreign exchange. Net earnings for the full year were $374.9 million, or $2.48 per diluted share, an increase of $68.1 million or 22% from $306.8 million or $2.00 per diluted share in 2008.

Transformers 3: Tony Todd Returning?

As we approach the first filming date for Transformers 3, we'll have more and more rumours flying in! The latest comes from a Den of Geek interview with Tony Todd, the voice of The Fallen from Revenge of the Fallen.

It looks like Todd will make a return as a voice actor in Transformers 3. Will he still be playing the same role, or is this for a different character? Only time will tell! You can check out a snippet of the interview below...

I felt like a big kid. When Michael Bay called me, I'd worked with him before on The Rock, and he called me and said, ;quot;Tony, I might have something for you.;quot; I said, ;quot;Okay, you haven't called me in ten years!;quot; He said, ;quot;I've been busy!;quot; I said, ;quot;I've been busy too Michael, glad we could make our schedules match!;quot;

So he brings me and he's got this enormous computer bank with these half-finished robots, and it looks like a little bit of animation, drawings, black and whites, finished stuff. I can see the joy in him, because he's a big kid with a director's set. And he's got robots, 250 people working for him, and he's saying, ;quot;You see this, you see that, you're going to take over the world.;quot; I'm watching this man showing me, and I'm like, ;quot; Do you want me to do it like that, or do you want my interpretation of it?

A commercial has recently popped on air - featuring our favourite metal kitty cat. Thanks to the keen eyes of Youtuber smutoys, the commercial has been uploaded - featuring the one and only Recon Ravage figure. You can check out the advertisement embed in this news post below or on Youtube.

If you happen to be Canadian, then you'll be able to bypass this promotion from Hasbro. As we reported earlier, Recon Ravage will simply be available at Canadian retail.

Wonder Fest 2010 Exclusive Resins - Minerva and Metalhawk

Minerva and Metalhawk. They were both figures released in the Super God Masterforce series of Transformers. Over two decades later, we get exclusive resin kits from the 2010 Wonder Fest that occurred yesterday.
