A new G.I. Joe series from IDW Publishing, dubbed "The Crown Jewel of the Hasbro Universe!", was launched in late 2016 on the heels of the mega-crossover "Revolution" Event. The new ongoing retroactively brings several previous G.I. Joe titles into this shared Hasbro Universe, though strict continuity analysis is best avoided. Most notably for Transformers fans, the Decepticon seeker Skywarp has joined up as part of G.I. Joe, and the starship Nemesis serves as the unit's underwater base of operations. The primary author is Aubrey Sitterson, with art by Giannis Milonogiannis and colors by Lovern Kindzierski.
