Sunstreaker

Profile: The complete egotist, Sunstreaker thinks he is the most beautiful masterpiece of Cybertronian design ever built. Loves his sleek styling, slightly contemptuous of his fellow Autobot race cars (particularly his twin Sideswipe). His vanity is match by a fiercely competitive nature and relentless drive to prove himself the best in the battlefield. He relishes the opportunity to show off his deadly battled honed warriro skills and validate his own beliefs in being the greatest warrior among his peers. Sunstreaker takes satisfaction that with every Decepticon he scraps, that he back up his own hype on being the best looking and the baddest Autobot warrior around. Despite his sociopathic urges, Sunstreaker remains a very calm, competent and rutless war machine. He has a friendly rivalry with SIDESWIPE, but the two of them always cover one another's back in battle (and all too often have to bail one another out of trouble when they've gotten in over their heads.) Aside from Sunstreaker's close relationship to his brother, he tends to be too self-absorrbed to really see how his poor behavior affects his social standing among his fellow Autobots. They may respect Sunstreaker's combat prowess enough to overlook his personal eccentricities, but some of his peers see hi quest for personal glory as a danger to his fellow warriors as well as himself.

Abilities: As a race car Sunstreaker can reach speeds in excess of 250 mph for sustained periods of time. In robot mode the double barreled multi-purpose launcher mounted on his right arm fires dual laser guided missiles. Each missile carries the explosive force of 350 pounds of TNT, and has a range of 37.5 miles. Launcher also doubles as melee weapon which can create twin fiery sabers. Shoulder mounted electron-pulse weapons ports are capable of emitting sustained bursts of high energy electron pulses at 300 bursts/sec. Tough polymer-steel skin resists artillery blasts, and his left arm mounted deflector shield is specially treated to not only resist projectiles, but deflect most energy based beams as well. Sunstreaker is a highly skilled warrior, and superb hand to hand combatant. Overall, he's one of the more deadly warriors still active in the Autobot ranks.

Weaknesses: His massive ego and sociopathic tendencies are Sunstreaker's key weaknesses. His tendency is to granstand rather than bea team player (the one notable exception to this behavior is that both Sunstreaker and Sideswipe work extremely well together.) His lust for battle can leave him open to be baited by enemies into dangerous situations, often putting his well being in serious jeopardy.
