It has been announced on Transformers Game's facebook page that on August 20th though August 22nd will be 4x XP weekend on Transformers: War for Cybertron!

I guess one of these days I need to get around to buying this game. I'm almost through my back log, so maybe a nice Christmas present. By then it should be down to $40. Perfect...!

This is welcome but I don't think this is a good sign either. Not just because many new players complained the game being too hard because of the level difference.

WHY, please, WHY do Activision have to brag me like this?

Last weekend i was at my aunt and uncle. Double XP weekend.

And now this. 4 times the XP. FOUR TIMES. I have all classes but my Soldier maxed out, and if i attend this, i`m pretty sure i can max it out before the end of the weekend.

BUT. Of course there is a but. And this is a very big one. I have to go to some babtising i didn`t even want to go to in the first place! Some friends of the family, who didn`t want to come on my confirmation. And MAN, i don`t want to go!

I know, i know, it`s just a game, but man, is this annoying! Everything just seems to brag me nowadays!

I would rather buy a couple of voyagers than buy this game again. I don't necessarily regret my purchase as I still play it from time to time, but every time I log on there are fewer and fewer people playing online. 2000ish is a pathetic pool of online players (and I have my search set to worldwide).

Also there are a host of weapon/ability/class balancing issues that I have ranted about before. I like it because it's a transformers game but in most ways the game is fairly underwhelming.

Also the glitching is really starting to piss me off. Sure your whole team can start with overshields before they get a single kill. Yeah its fair for leaders to cloak and spawn turrets, etc, etc.

If you get around to buying this game at Christmas, it is likely to be $30 or less. It is already at $40 at a lot of retailers. Just don't expect to have many opponents to fight against online.

Same here, I dont play it anymore at all. The first few weeks where cool, but it gets old fast. But with ROTF's multiplayer, I was playing that for over a year! WFC's multiplayer only lasted a few days.

Good news;
I finally got an XBox 360, and gotten my hands on War for Cybertron on the 30th (woot) and already beaten it on hard and found most of the achievements. :DANCE:

Bad news;
I do not have Live hooked up, and do not have the wireless adapter, so I'm going to miss this chance. :sad:

If I ever get Live, watch out for the real deadliest Seeker in the sky; Mindmaster! :lol:

"Deadlist Seeker" is about as dangerous as "Deadliest annoying poke on the shoulder." Because Scientists have the lowest health, and are meant as support units, you have to level up a lot and get REALLY damn good if you want to be capable of using a scientist for direct combat. (Like me!)

And Quadruple Experience weekend? I'm there. I missed the last Double Experience weekend, anyway.

What he said. Being a killer Scientist on MP online is pretty rough going. I've seen some guys dominate but mostly you have to sit back and take your pot shots and then assist your teamates in either health or offense. Too many times I fly in thinking I have worked over that soldier or Leader enough and then BAM!... I'm dead.

I got my Scientist to Level 25 and hope to rank up the Scout class this weekend. He/She(Arcee) is at level 13 currently. Anyone use the leg servos? I do for Arcee cause as funny as this sounds, I like to outfit her as I would envision her character in the WFC universe. So she has Dash, Cloak, Weapon Stabilize, Leg Servos, and I think Energon Optimization. I still don't know if those Leg servos really give me that much of a speed boost in bot mode.

Disguise and the EMP Shotgun are two great tastes that taste great together. Find a lone wolf, get up close, preferably behind him, then unleash two quick shots from the EMP Shotgun into him, maybe a melee if he's still standing. Assuming you don't miss, this is enough to take down any class.
