Well, after buying DOTM Shockwave I did like and was impressed with his bot mode, but not his alt mode. So I've only picked up a hand full of the DOTM toys, they really don't have that look about them that says buy me, but that me i guess. So, anyway i recently picked up LC Sen Prime right after i saw the movie and like everyone else i too was shock and awed, but Prime came through like he always does and saves the day. Well back on Topic, so i have LC Sen Prime and Voyager Shockwave on my desk looking at both of the and thinking "man this would be totally awesome if hasbro could get shockwave in leader class form" which i believe they can, but at the same time maybe the alt mode is whats holding them up? which i'm sure is not the case, its the money and budget and so on, but just imagine if this was only issue and the only thing stopping them to producing a LC Shockwave! Well, i have the answer his alt mode should be he G1 Laser Gun or Blaster mode like he had back in the mid 80's! Not only it would be new technology but also get part of some G1 in there as well. Just a thought and a person can dream right?

Won't happen, for the same reason that every version of Megatron is now a tank of some sort instead of a life-sized gun. Toy guns are a no-no in the US. They'd have to make him look like a Super-Soaker, with fluorescent colors.

You know I was thinking. What would be even cooler than a Leader Class Shockwave would be an Ultimate Shockwave, something akin to Ultimate Optimus. This solves multiple problems: first and foremost you don't have to worry about the alt mode as much. Ultimate Shockwave would be the same size as Ultimate Optimus and come with the Driller. Maybe have Shockwave transform into the actual drill bit, or the front end/cockpit of the Driller which then attaches to the rest of it. I would gladly pay for something like that. To me that would be the best case scenario for any bigger Shockwave. He could also come with a HUGE gun like Optimus does only it would be his fusion cannon. That would be SWEET! They could even do the same thing for Megatron and make an Ultimate version where the bot transforms into the cab and his trailer transforms into something else like part of his cloak and maybe a fusion cannon.

I think that would be the best case scenario. I'd rather have something more on that scale than a full-fledged Leader Class version of Shockwave (or Megatron for that matter).

Yeah, I also think the next issue of DotM Shockwave should be something to do with the Driller, regardless of the size classification of the toy. As for Megatron, he needs to be a Leader class, or even a Supreme Class. I'll pay for it Hasbro, I don't mind.

BTW, it was reported (as a rumor) a while back that these 2 will be released as Leader Class figures at the beginning of next year.

Actually, if you were willing to make a sacrifice of having a "jungle recon" shockwave instead, then it could very easily be something close to ...

Actually that would look quite cool ... and maybe hasbro could pull this of just like how they made classics megs from their marvrick

I really don't like gun-formers. What I want is a Shockwave figure that would be about the size of a large Ultra class figure, would sell for about $50, and would include Driller tentacles that could be a Driller-like creature on their own or could attach to Shockwave's back Doc Ock style.

I think what we would actually get would be a dissapointment instead of what is in your head. I just don't think Hasbro could pull out anything great unless it came w/ Cyberverse shockwave. I think size wise....it would just be too small unless they tried to pull it off seperatly? Like the ARK but instead a driller.

I actually think voyager Shockwave is a fairly decent figure. And considering his role in the movie and lack of an alt mode, I don't really care whether he gets leaderized or not.

I would be interested in a leader Megatron, though. Hopefully with a less deformed looking head...

The best possible thing with Driller is what has been said: a Cyberverse Shockwave with a Driller the size of the Ark. As for the Leader class I'd like a Cybertronian tank-mode that's perhaps a bit wider. That Voyager is a good-looking, but the Altmode resembles to me more of a Cybertronian locomotive with gun.

Yes, news was put out last month right? I'm just hopeing they do a decent job on it. Would it be done right though?.......

I have high hopes that Megatron will be done perfectly,and be their best leader class representation of Bay-verse Megatron. As for Shockwave, I agree with the original poster, the Alt mode on VC Shockwave is awful. I think if the incorporate the Driller into the alt-mode, then he could be great. Regardless, as soon as I see them, they are bought on sight, so lets just hope Hasbro doesn't make Shockwave a ROTF Megatron brick.

I love your idea for the front end of Shockwave to be a drill bit. I would so totally buy that.
