What do you think is going on with Generations Arcee and Chromia? BBTS still has them listed for a March release, but that seems unlikely at this point. Has anyone heard/read anything?

Funny just got this email from BBTS

HAS23637 Generations 2014 Series 05 - Set of 2 - Arcee & Chromia

The estimated time of arrival has been moved from March 2014 to September 2014 due to manufacturer informing us that the assortment containing this set will not be available until the Fall of 2014. We apologize for this delay, and will update our website if there are any further changes.

Not super surprising, especially since they were no-shows at ToyFair last month. They're probably not even ready for mass production yet. I figure we'll finally see samples of these two at BotCon.

Reasonable. There was no way they were gonna come out as early as BBTS's original preorder release date ridiculously claimed. This date makes far more sense.

All I want is pictures to see which molds they are using. I dont expect new molds for g1 arcee and chromia though. I just hope they wont use the rotf bikes AGAIN!

They can't use those molds for non-Movie purposes.

I too wish they would show us a picture. If they are supposed to be based on IDW designs they are a "probably gonna get" rating for me.

as much as I'm against the "this toy is a girl's toy and must be pink!" gender-stereotyping that goes on in the toy aisles I really would like if we could just get a pink and white Arcee that looks more or less G1 and turns into a car for our Classics collections. I've wanted one for nearly 30years, and it's not like we've not had an abundance of pink TFs before now. Nearly every 'Con from 88-91 had pink or pastel blue on them.

Still the new IDW design (you can see some of it on the recently News'd article) looks pretty good, the red is still balanced out with white and It doesn't look like Arcee has changed so much that she'll not be some kind of car thing. There's no motorbike kibble I can see at least.

Worst case scenario I get her and Chromia and repurpose Arcee as someone else and get a Motobot or MMC's one.

If Arcee's gonna be red, Dr. Wu just start planning to make Firestar heads already. Maybe Takara will get it right and give us a pink car. If not we still "officially" have Delicate Warrior and eventually MMC Azela.

I'm totally against the whole "girls must be pink and boys must have everything but pink mentality", so as much as I dislike the fact that Arcee was initially pink because she's a girl, it's important that she doesnt get her colors changed to me.

The only reason why she was blue in Prime was because they didn't want Jack to ride a pink motorcyle, because he's a boy. That's lousy. Just as important as girls being allowed to have non-pink toys, boys should be able to have pink things if they want. Arcee being pink and in the boys' toy aisle is a good step. I'd prefer nongendered toy aisles, but this could help.

Didnt Hasbro get blasted by some mom who was upset that Easy Bake Bake Ovens only came in pink and she wanted to buy one for her son ? :lol:

Okay, don't get me wrong, I am kind of glad about this as it gives me time to save up for all these awesome releases, but one thing I was wondering about. Didn't Hasbro state that Generations wouldn't disappear from stores when they released movie stuff the way it did during the previous flicks and yet unless I am missing something isn't that is exactly what just happened? The Walmarts around me haven't stocked any TFs in ages now, the same as what happened in the months leading up to each of the previous movie lines hitting shelves and now they reschedule these. I had Scoop pre-ordered and got the same email about him. Like I said, least this way I can save money all summer and avoid retail hunting completely. I will just pre-order everything through BBTS when they get them all listed later

The reason people think she's gonna be red is because of this:

Arcee just got a new body in Dark Cybertron, and a new body these days is usually a sign of a new toy coming.

Milne said he based the new design on the roughs of the upcoming Arcee as the toy isn't done yet so while it will end up being similar, the toy is going to be different. The color probably isn't finalized yet.

This was to be expected. How can they really call it wave 5 then if some of the TF4 toys will be under the Generations banner? More like wave 8 or 9.

Technically, there will be two categorical lines of Generations running concurrently. AOE and the Classics-style ones. These will be Wave 5 of the latter.
