yay! my first gallery submission! :p

The stickers are easy! I made a deal with Delta at reprolabels.com :) Just take a picture of yourself and the trailer (doesn't have to be started, just shows you actually bought one of the Hot Wheels trailers so you could do this up) and he'll mail you a set for FREE. he didnt' think demand was high enough to be worth selling, but he loved the idea so much he thought he'd contribute! I don't have his email handy, but I think its delta@ reprolabels.com? the trailers can be found anywhere you find Hot wheels, and they're only around $4.

I'm loving it! It works so well!

The colors and the lines match up perfect with the cab!

Everything but the trailer tires. They look out of place IMO. Did you consider adding a set of Armorhides tires to it?

I don?t see a problem with the trailer?s tires being different. Real Semi trailers have wheels that look different than the cab?s wheels anyway because semis will usually tow many different trailers depending upon the cargo and/or client.

Yeah I thought about it. The trailer's wheels are different. instead of a short rivet, the pair are on one long pin, and the pin seems to be larger than the rivet, and I wasn't sure what all would be involved in fixing it up to do a wheelswap...

Oh yeah, Hot Wheel axles... :x

I guess the only way to do it is redo the back of the trailer with styrene or just cut of the whole rear assembly and glue on the arms from Armorhide.

If I get some time, i might have to make myself one! :)

One question: There's any Hot Wheels trailer compatible for Spychanger Scourge?

I dunno how big he is cause I don't have one, so unfortunately I am unable to answer your question.

Lobo, if you do do that, I would love to hear what you did for the wheels!

I've made new wheel mounts, with styrene tubing. That's what I did on that Robotmasters Prime I was kitbashing.

I don't think I took any pictures of the axle stubs I built. I used a combination of 1/8" and 3/16" tubing. The narrower tubing holds the pin (has to be drilled out a little) and the larger tubing gives thicker stub to mount the wheel on.

On Prime I think I was using the thicker tubing as a stop, to keep the wheel from moving too close to the part it was mounting to.

You should probably find the tube size that fits inside the wheel best, then get the size that fits inside that as well, to hold the pin. You just want to make a mounting peg, with a small enough hole to glue the pin in. Making it out of tubing, you know the holes not going to be crooked. For those Hot Wheels trailers I'd probably build full width axles, and drill out the existing axle holes to fit the tubing. Then, just glue the tubes in place.

I hope that made sense.

ehhh... why does every picture I click on load image 1? I can click from there the number I want and get it, but clicking the thumbnails to open a large window always loads image 1.
