I like the TF Prime Megatron the best. Then WFC Megatron.

Yeah but trigger placement behind is back seems awkward.
What? You like G1's PENIS trigger better?

United Beast Megatron. Yeeesssssss.
But yeah the WFC mold is pretty great. The various versions of the TFPrime Voyager are all fairly nice too. I have the first Hasbro one, but those Arms Micron versions are pretty tempting. The shiny one for the Microns mostly, and the newest one for the paint job. the Dark Energon version probably looks great in a display with good lighting as well.

Appart the "wings" that are out of place, he look pretty good.
However, I cannot see him as a true Classic Megs so that's why I prefer the original Nerf gun version.
This is a great mold to own so what color one's get is one's personal preferences.

I happen to prefer Henkei's abundance of red, breaks up the grey more. Though I wouldn't be above getting a United one as Megaplex.

I just use Classics Megatron as my Metroplex, and if I had United Megs I'd probably make either him or Henkei Megatron the Straxus clone, not sure.

Sure, Hegemon IS the perfect Megs in my own opinion. Unfortunately, it's 3rd party so he dont count.
Even though I responded previously, lemme tell you who is my favorite as for now.
That's a toughie, but I must confirm that my number one favorite Megs from the last 5 years is deluxe FE Prime Megatron. Sure, he's smaller, but the paint job is perfect, is fun to transform, and is perfect looking in both modes.
He's a must own.

Re: Best Megatron toy from the last five years?
The first Voyager class Classics 2.0 Megatron hands down - admittedly he's a more futuristic take on things, but he's a great homage to the original - alternately there's the Henkei version if you want more G1 accurate colours.
One thing though - I can understand excluding 3rd party stuff as they're blatantly illegal IP thefts, but I'm not getting the reasoning for excluding MP Megatron.

Perhaps to level out the playing field? I remember a similar thread excluding MP's. When was it released anyway? Then again, MP05 wasnt the cat's meow.

That's just it, being an official HasTak release, excluding it seems pointless - in the same way I've heard such ridiculous claims as (everything from the Pretenders and onwards isn't G1). Even if it wins out, there's still no reason to exclude it because the second best figure in these threads usually surfaces anyway (heck, some people here even posted their third choice). However even more to the point, it's problematic and received mixed reviews from fans, so it was never going to get a clean sweep anyway.

Personally I'd exclude both MP Megatron and Alternity Megatron because both fall in a different category. They're not "toys" in the traditional sense, but more like expensive Collector's Items that are designed with other priorities.

Back on topic, Henkei Megatron gets my vote because he's unique in this day and age in being a gun (albeit based on Nerf). Same goes for RtS Legends Megatron (despite the orange barrel). Animated Megatron is also a strong contender.

I agree. I cant remember if this or the best Soundwave in the last 5 years" was posted first, but that one excluded the MP also. So what if it wins? Doesn't change individuals preference on what they believe is their "best of".
Im just waiting for the "best OP in the last 5 years that excludes MP's and anything with red and blue"

Except that this is a bit of a strawman. Certainly they're marketed at adult collectors, but unlike statues, these are very much still toys.
Case in point, the Hot Toys 1989 Batmobile that I have on preorder [don't hate me cause I'm getting it; hate me because you're not

They're all ultimately toys.
A $20 pair of shoes and a $300 pair do the same thing. I dont keep the more expensive pair in a box and stare at it on my shelf. This whole notion of mass-produced toys being collectibles is bullshit.
