Best Quality Knock Offs?

I want to know what the best quality knockoffs are. I want to get a KO City Commander in red for my OP, but QC Issues scare the tar out of me. Anyone know some good quality kos? Even if not just the armor, but just downright good kos in general?

Re: Best Quality Knock Offs?
There's a couple threads like this here.
When people say they are "high quality" KOs they really mean "they don't look like the **** like you'd exprect from KOs and are overall decent in quality unlike the poopy KOs you may be used to". Personally, I keep picking up the Seeker mold. It's the only way to get a Classics Sunstorm and the yellow 1st sttempt at Sunstorm as well as Air Warrior look awsome.
That said, the Seekers all have flaws. They're well documented, so just look around for flaws in CHMS Seekers.
As I understand it, the Prime and armor KOs are decent enough for display. But they ARE KOs. I wouldn't expect official quality.

There are two different Classics Voyager Prime KO molds, general KO and the KOToys Kold version.
From what I heard, the general KO is cheap crap and the Kold version is OK (the arm "wings" brake off for instance), but super expensive, like more than the original toy originally cost in stores.
The City Commander armour KO is ****, lower quality plastic and paint plus it doe snot fit the original or any of the KOs of the Voyager Prime mold properly.
The shoulders fall off, the arms don't lock in properly and also fall off, apparently the only thing that actually fits like the original are the leg pieces.
So if you want to save some money and buy the KO, you'll have to invest a lot of work in getting the armour to fit anything.

ffs...moan moan moan
the guy asked about high quality knock offs. he DIDNT ask for the 'Im against knock offs' crew to come and complain outa there asses
Heres the truth about high quality kos
Chms are the best at making decent quality kos. If you buy from them then there as good chance the figure will be fine. Ive loads of chms kos and have only ever had 1 slight issue with my Classics Ghost Thrusts right leg. However i fixed this myself within 2 minutes
The only SERIOUS problem ive had was with death starscream whos eblows broke for some reason. I managed to fix this as i had a spare pair of black forarms in a box and just swapped them over. Again no big problem
All my other chms kos are perfect
skywarp thundercracker ghost starscream black hotrod wildrider rainmakers evil prime ect - ALL FINE
just ignore these idiots who moan and complain because its the same people time and time again just moaning saying there against kos
also ignore any idiot who tells you the ko city commander is rubbish. Its just as good as the offical city commander aside from the shoulders and arms dont connect very well. Again theres an easy fix for this in the form of the white foam packaging you get in parcels. All you need to do it put a big lump of it behind a certain pannel and then it connects on fine
if you want a decent classics prime then get the ko following
dia prime
clear prime
wonderfest prime
botcon prime
only thing i had to do with any of these is cut a small bit of plastic away on the arms were the door piece is. that way it avoids any breaking as you have to CLICK that bit into place for robot mode. cut the bit of plastic away and it just slides there instead
dont get the NORMAL version with the red face as thats rubbish

He asked for the truth and I gave him the truth. I have NOT had a perfect experience with KOs and I related that. That said, I still bought a ton, knowing what the flaws are.
It's better to be up front about the quality of something than be told "it's perfect!" and be disappointed. Whether it's a KO or an official product.

These quotes are not welcome here man.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I thought I did put it here. I could have swore.
Anyway, I have a classics OP, I just need a KO for the smokestacks and possibly armor, if there are any good ones, but taking from what I've read, good is few and far between. Still, it may be worth looking into for the smokestack pistols alone.

Re: Best Quality Knock Offs?
I have FP City Commander and DIA Commander along with a KO DIA Commander. I don't have any KO Classics/Henkei Primes so I don't know how they fit on those, but the KO seems to fit fine on the retail Takara Henkei Prime.
The shoulders are just slightly loose, but they are only very very slightly less loose on the legit FP versions (for both sets) so all you really have to do is stuff a bit of paper/tape or pretty much anything into the little recesses that reside on OP's shoulders in the back and they should sit just fine.
There's also an issue with one of the hinge pieces that folds away when not being used to hold the trailer together that ends up sitting on the shoulder. It's loose and super floppy on one side, but both FP sets I have have the exact same problem (and they were both bought from BBTS so I know for a fact that they aren't KO's, plus the stamps on the bottoms of the 'feet' are different, which is how I learned to look to determine if a set was KO or not).
In my opinion, especially considering the price for the legit versions right now, the KO's are totally worth it and the quality is totally satisfactory.
