Classic Transformers Toys
- Weapon: Surface-To-Air Missiles
Yesterday I got an RID generation X-Brawn from a collector's shop, and I'm really impressed. The figure has rubber tires and an opening hood! We don't get that on any of the standard Transformers toys anymore. Are there any other features from classic Transformers you miss?

ahh yes thew rubber tires, a great thing and a truly awful thing at the same time.
good because it makes the figures that much nicer, bad because they tend to dry up and crack.
Fortunately, all my RID figures seem to be o.k so far with their tires.

The only thing I miss is hands that point in the right direction! They seem to be producing an awful lot of monkey arms - where the palm of the hand faces towards the elbow.
I really like the advances in TF technology and am not bothered by plastic tyres. But the two Alternity figures have superb car modes so if that's what impresses you, look into them. Detailed interior, rubber tyres, opening doors, boot/truck and bonnet/hood.

Re: Classic Transformers Toys
Recently acquired a new rifle for G1 Prowl. Those early G1 Diaclones had great weapons. Prowl's chrome/silver rifle to me at least, is as iconic as Prime's rifle or Megatron's fusion cannon.
I remember seeing the likes of Prowl and Mirage as a kid and thinking how cool and realistic those silver rifles looked.
Got a KO purple G1 Grimlock a few years back. The colour was the main difference between the official and KO toys. The KO did have one thing over the G1 Grimlock. Whereas G1 Grim's sword was red plastic, the KO had a silver/chrome version of the sword. Much cooler.
What I do like with the Movie line is the real alt modes which harkens back to the Diaclones again.
Intelligently written, old style tech specs would be more than welcome were they to return.

Err, that's "Die Cast", not "Dye Cast"
