That's very nice!!!!! I love it! You don't seem to be having any chipping problems...
Seems to be missing some purple paint on wings and front of shuttle.
Anyways...besides some touch ups, he looks great!

Thanks guys.

John: That would be "German grey" by Tamiya (spray).

That paint app does wonders for the train mode. Doesn't seem so chopped up!

I see you've also done some repainting on Bumblebee when can we see some pics of him?

Thanks everyone.

Actually I only painted the chest area of Bumblebee. I took off all the white crap by soaking the parts in iso alcohol. Shaved his beard off and did the black detailing.

Thats the Astrotrain that Hasbro should have released. Nice job, did you use a spray can for that or an airbrush? Also how long did you soak the bumblebee parts in the alcohol and did you have to repaint afterward?

I used Tamiya German Grey (spray can).

The Bumblebee parts were soaked for about 20-30 minutes and you don't need to repaint afterwards. The white just wipes away. (use cotton swabs). The hood/chest area is a different matter since it's painted yellow to begin with. So I just painted over it with Tamiya yellow (brush).

It looks beautifull, though indeed it could've done with a bit more purple on the train-nose.

AceBaur: Glad it worked out for you.

Skyfire: Yeah, i decided against it because in the cartoon he hardly had any purple on his robot form. Making the train nose purple would've been at the tips of his arms and I didn't think it would look very good. Thanks for the feedback!
