Welcome back to Transformers Mr. NewGuy.
Say hello to too much time in WalMart and goodbye to petty cash.
Sometime or another, you should get together with myself and the other PA guys. We're trying to meet up, eat some sushi, and wax philosophical about transformers more often.

Good to know that the Classics line is going to continue. I just got back in to Transformers. I collect other lines so I would always check to see what was new in the TF section while out on my hunts and was always tempted to pick up a Clasic figure when I saw them - mainly Starscream and Grimlock. Then of course in the buildup to the movie toys I notices that Classics had disappeared from the pegs. So I was regretting not picking up Starscream and Grimlock. But with the news of the WalMart exclusive Starscream I felt comfortable in passing up on the Classic version but still regretted not picking up Grimlock. But as fate would have it the WalMart closest to me all of the sudden decided to stock a couple cases of the Grimlock wave last week and I was able to pick him up. Prior to that I hadn't seen Classics in a while and if I did it was just a Mirage or CLiffjumper collecting dust here and there.

Oh, and bring some cash. There's nothing more manly then a bunch of 20-30 something aged men out shopping for toys during the day.

Wow, you're lucky, my Wal-mart sucks, they got rid of all their classics now. How much would it cost for you to pick up and send one of those Grimlock's my way?

I'd love to help you guys out but when I picked mine up there was only one left. I was going to pick it up as I figured I could use it as some trade bait but when I went back it was gone. But this WalMart is weird when it comes to restocking. They just stocked a bunch of cases of wave 1 of the movie toys so they'll probably roll out some more dusty cases when all of that stuff clears the pegs. I'll keep an eye out for you guys though. Believe me I know how tough it was finding him. I almost gave up hope and don't think anyone should resort to ebay unless it's their last option. Thats whats great about these boards, collectors can help out their fellow collector.

Why no invite for Zod?

By the way Ben, have you tried the Mapes on the Main Line in Ardmore? Last time I as there, they had the whole Classics line. If transport is an issue I can even give you the SEPTA routes you need.

Lansdowne, just outside of Philadelphia. Tiny little town less then a square mile in size. The only thing around smaller? East Lansdowne

Huh...never heard of Mapes before reading this message. Checking online, I see they have a few locations to check out.

Looks like I need to take a ride. Being off on paternity leave has some advantages...I can go out hunting when the baby is sleeping and my wife doesn't need any help.

When the Classics line returns will we see revisions cases with previously released figures like Starscream and Grimlock, etc?

It's doubtful, but not out of the question. Personally I think it would be in Hasbro's interest to re-release Starscream and Grimlock especially, considering that the Classics line went on hiatus well before the movie release.
Now we have a mudslide of new collectors and retro-collectors, so, um, there you go.
I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.
