i found takara encore optimus, jazz, and hasbro tru exclusive reissue soundwave for extremely great prices. however, i also want to buy classics ramjet and astrotrain and three pack challenge at cybertron just for hot rod. i cant afford all of them, i can only get the classics figures or encore prime, jazz, and tru reissue soundwave. what should i do?!

Prime, Jazz and Soundwave have been reissued several times in one form or another over the last few years, it's probably only a matter of time before we see them again.

I'd say mix-and-match. Definitely get Jazz since that release has all the major problems fixed (degraded face, misalignment). Optimus and Soundwave have has several reissues and are quite easy to find, as said before, so they can be skipped. If you're going for Generations Thrust and Dirge, then get Ramjet too. other than that it's all fair game.

And I just noticed you meant Classics Soundwave. That one can store two cassettes at once because that reissue is based on the Japanese Soundblaster and is thus not a "true to the core" reissue, more like a repaint.

Id personally go the encore route. thought thats mainly because the classic figures you mentioned didnt appeal to much. Its personal choice though, oif its a really good price go for the figures that you find most interesting, if that means getting a 3 pack for one figure you really want, go for it. Its your collection get what you get the most enjoyment out of.
