This is my first repaint/custom. I'm fairly happy witht results. I repainted him with Krylon Fusion for the most part. I haven't transformed him yet, because I would like to give the paint a little more time to cure. I managed to chip the paint in a few areas just putting him back together :-x . The only things I lack doing is painting the feet and obviously applying the decals. I had to modify the feet to get the alternate leg transformation. I may end up getting a Henkei Redalert to convert sice he comes molded in the correct colors. All he would need is his red paint removed. I didn't have to glue any of the parts on so if I do decide to go the Redlert route it would just to a matter to exchanging the parts. I already have one Redalert, but considering how pricey he has become I wasn't willing to sacrife my only one.

Looks good! He's a nice crisp white, which I find tough to do.

How well did that Krylon do? I'm always leery of using paints other than those specifically for plastic kits since I melted a car model I was building some time ago.

It went on fine and was easy to work with, it's made for plastics so I figured it wouldn't harm anything, which it didn't. I don't think it lives up to it's claims of bonding to the plastic and being chip resistant. I let everything cure for about four days before reassembly and still ended up getting some chips. To be fair the can did say it was chip resistant after seven days, but I would imagine it would still chip no matter how long it had to cure. I also noticed the paint still has a slightly sticky/rubbery feel to it, not tacky/gooey, but just not that super hard shell like feel you get with some paints. I'll continue to monitor it's feel and texture as it further cures.
