Oh well, we can't worry about that now. So long as he's alive and functional. Chief, you should know when Brainstorm and I were in the lab we saw... we saw Max. He was horribly damaged but... but he was alive."

Brainstorm's memory began to instantly recall the brief moment he had back in the medical bay with Fortress Maximus. His quick thinking and improvised motor malfunction hopefully installed a few more cycles onto Maximus' life support systems, though it was hard to tell how observant the Decepticons truly were. Just had to remain hopeful at this point. A little bit of optimism to keep the spirits and morale up and such.

"Sure looked like he went toe-to-toe with a series of belt sanders." The engineer added upon Lightspeed's tale, "And I'm sure we're all well aware of Decepticon medical practices by now, so it's not hard to guess what level of treatment our dear friend, the Warden is receiving up there." Brainstorm's Amber optics gazed up towards the ceiling of the tunnel the Autobots were isolated in as if he were secretly staring up into the medical bay as if it was positioned directly above them. "Still... least we know precisely where he is. Getting him up and out of there though, now that will be the difficult part."

Brainstorm halted in his tracks when Highbrow had approached their group and sought to reevaluate Scattershot's calculations on how to divide their forces. The blue and gray scientist made an excellent point on his behalf, but Scattershot was quick to shut down the proposal. Noting Highbrow's request, the biomechanical engineer shot his fellow brainiac a glance, his left hand reaching up behind his processor and tapping the edge of his cranium with two actuators. It was a nonverbal signal most of the scientists who were stationed at the Kimia Facility knew about, one they all had to employ when the Decepticons came to raid the labs and spark the site of the now infamous massacre. Brainstorm could only hope Highbrow hadn't repressed that memory or forgotten its meaning and was able to pick up on the sign without drawing attention to it.

With Scattershot pivoting on his heel and turning to delve deeper into the mines, Brainstorm followed closely behind the Technobot commander as their established group sought out how their divided mindset could come up with a means of survival, an escape if they're lucky. Scattershot soon stopped along one side of the mines wall and drove his fist into wall, allowing the debris to drop to the mine floor before turning down a sharp bend. The teal and white Autobot's right brow rose at the peculiar sight as he tried to guess what his fellow Autobot was doing, but the thought didn't linger in his mind for too long before he was thinking about some new form of ammunition or experimental weapon system. By the motherboard did he long for any sort of laboratory or work bench where he could get his actuators dirty again.

"Interesting..." Brainstorm commented on the tunnel Scattershot was leading their way into. The paneling on the tip of Brainstorm's right index finger pulled back to reveal a small flashlight. The tiny light flickered to life and illuminated a cone of light out in front of the engineer. Using his free hand, the Autobot of real and white pinched at the rubble on the rock wall before rubbing the excess material in-between the tips of his thumb and index actuators, studying the change in mineral. "Quite the spot you've managed to locate, Scattershot. Now, let's get down to business."

- :BOT: -

Whirl rolled into the dirt with a hefty humph as the seeker/sweep combo of security detail tossed the ex-wrecker forward.

"Git up!" One of the sweeps barked as he rose his static baton above his mustached face. Whirl struggled to rise back up to his full height as both clawed hands flayed outwards against the mineral deposit, his arms mustering every ounce of his strength to regain his compose.

"Y-you guys sure know how to... how to teach a mech down here..." The blue helicopter mech spattered as he turned his sole optic towards the surrounding guards. "Back up there, I was begging them to use the... use the shocky bits. Hehe..." The angered sweep stepped forward to deliver another blow before one of the seekers held him back with a hand over the shoulder.

"C'mon, he's obviously trying to piss us off. Don't give him the satisfaction."

"Trying!" Whirl coughed as he rolled onto his back, sighing with relief as he attempted to rekindle his energy once more, "You Decepticon lackeys must be made of thin metal these days if you think this is trying! Bwahaha!"

"That's it!" The electro-static baton the angered sweep was wielding soon crackled back to life with an intense surge of energy as its wielder tightened his grip around the weapon, "I've had just enough with you and you mouth!"

"Take a gander, Fuzz-face. This pretty visage doesn't have one."

The sweep charged at the downed ex-Wrecker, driving the business end of his static baton against Whirl's helicopter cockpit of a chest. The surge of several thousands volts of stunning static rattled the mono-optical Autobot as he felt every servo in his chassis quiver under the rush.

"Take 'im to the Hold! He ain't worth the energon to protoform-sit for!" The Sweep barked to his fellow Decepticons as he regained his composure. The small team of both Seeker and Sweep alike approached Whirl's prone form and brought him up to his feet before carrying him off deeper into the various mine shafts.

Afterburner once again struggled in his restraints as he attempted to free himself from Jhiaxus' hold over him and the other Cybertronians he had "sought out". The Technobot gunner could faintly hear the ancient scientist exchange words with the head honcho Decepticon that was running this entire operation.

"Oi! Bisque-breath!" Afterburner murmured to the prone form of Nautilator, who was stationed on a nearby slab. "Can you make out what their saying?"

Nautilator laid in a daze-like state as his optical sensors were blinded by the intense light emitting from Jhaixus' equipment up above, the whispers of the Orange Autobot sounding like a soft hush of wind against his audio receptors. "Wha-what now?"

"Clawful and Jerryrig back there, can you hear what they're saying?"

The seacon turned his head as far to the left as his neck servos could muster and tried his best to listen in before replying back to the Technobot across from him. "Erm... I'm afraid not... Just, 'something something Cybertron','yadda yadda perfect subjects'."

"You useless piece of scrap..." Afterburner cursed as he rolled his head back so he was staring under the lightshow Jhiaxus had provided, a snarl taking refuge on his metallic features. Nautilator simply looked down along the side of his slab the best he could through his restraints, defeat and shame obviously plastered to his faceplate.

"Alright, lets move. I found a cave I have been storing supplies into. Don't go too fast. Speed gets noticed."

Wheelie smiled a toothy grin as Vroom shifted to his alt mode and hitched himself up to the scavenged trailer he had assembled. The orange protoform followed in changing to his tiny Cybertronian racer mode as well.

"Right, take it slow, easy on the speed. Staying out of sight is what we need! Go forth my new friend, lead the way. Finding shelter will really make Wheelie's day."

“And how many did not survive your original screening process?” Scorponok asked seemingly indifferently but secretly concerned about the risks of the process. He needed these super warriors Jhiaxus had promised to him to win the war but he had no desire to risk his men for this. They would not suffer under the whims of this madman. Not the Seacon. Not even the Monstercons. He would have to find a way. They certainly had suffered enough. And yet, they would still have to endure some more. There was no way around it. That was the sacrifice they had to do for the cause.

Afterburner rising his voice to demand information from Nautilator caught Scorponok's attention. His size betrayed most first impressions by others. Most did not expect a Cybertronian of his size having so deceivingly accurate senses. He could hear them all. The Technobot. The whispers between the guards. The exchange of words between the Monstercons. None of it escaped his sensors. Not in this room.

“Be strong Nautilator. Ignore the Autobot.” Scorponok said as he walked by the Seacon to inspect the data on Cutthroat's slab while listening to Jhiaxus.

The fact that Cutthroat was one the many with the potential for the combining process was exceedingly promising. There was a great chance that the other Terrorcons were suitable as well and if they were... the abomination that would be born of the unholy union of some of his most powerful and ferocious warriors would make Monstructor pale before its savage might.

The Seacons appeared to be another potential group. One that would likely provide to be far more useful as well than the Terrorcons. Snaptrap was a loyal and efficient soldier with an iron grip over his troops. His team could be efficiently utilized anywhere within the limitation of their alternative modes. Same could not be said about Hun-Gurrr and his Terrorcons. They were too savage. Too volatile. Scorponok could only imagine how much worse their combined form was going to be. But before he could have his own combiners, the kinks had to be worked out and for that the Technobots provided a fertile soil to experiment upon.

“Focus your attention on this one,” Scorponok told Jhiaxus, making a pointing gesture towards Afterburner, “Perfect the process. Understand that no new Cybertronian has been born in tens of thousands of vorns. The chance of success needs to be higher before this can be applied to my Decepticons.”

Turning away from Afterburner, Scorponok's gaze fell on one of the warriors he had commanded to act as Jhiaxus' bodyguards.

“Deadlock.”

An experienced, cruel warrior who had seen nearly every atrocity possible had portrayed shock in his voice while reading some data? Highly unusual.

“What did you find?”

Garrus 9 – Quartermaster’s Locker and Armory

Stranglehold shoved past the disgruntled sweeps and began rooting through the lockers, same as Octopunch. He simply tore them open and gauged the contents. “Nope. No. Nada. Not it. Junk. Scrap. Slag. Rubbish. Garbage. Junk. Mooore junk. Super junk. Ju- what…what even is this?” The orange enforcer said as he picked up some strange contraption. He simply shrugged and tossed it into the growing heap of discarded weapons in his wake.

“Noooo…noooooooo….no- Wait. Yes! I found them!” Stranglehold perked up suddenly as he located his old and trusty mace. He gave it a couple swings around before he tucked it away and yanked out his brawn blaster. A weapon that was kinda…sneaky, but had its uses nonetheless. It felt good to have both back in his grasp once again.

"Stranglehold, We gather what we can! This raid won't all be for nothing after all! YAR!"

Stranglehold looked over from his reunion with his weapons to see that Octopunch had snagged his own and found Bludgeon’s sword! That little sneaky tentacled barnacle. Scooping up weapons from the discarded piles, including the odd contraption, he clipped as much of it as he could onto his body, becoming something of a walking arsenal even with the inhibitor claw still attached.

"Found Snarler's scrap!" The salvager informed as he bore open the locker, removing the warrior's broadsword and other tools from within before tossing the savage's collected goods over to his fellow raider "'Ere, you carry the pig's valuables."

“Oh, I see how it is. I carry the pig’s garbage while you get to bring Bludgeon his sword. Next you’ll have me toting the bat’s crap too,” Stranglehold snipped snidely as he picked up Snarler’s weapons from where Octopunch had tossed them.

"Octopunch, Stranglehold..."

“Ehn? Who’s that?” Stranglehold called with a turn of his head. A nondescript Decepticon stood in the doorway to the locker. "We are here on behalf of our commanding officer, Bomb Burst. He is requesting we take you to him."

“Ah! Perfect. Take us to Bludgeon. You know where he is right? Hm?”

Semper Tyrannis – Scorponok's lab

"I was just hoping to lounge in an oil bath for a couple of vorns"

“As if you were ever hoping for something more original. Always with the bath. Sheesh,” Apeface complained somewhat dramatically with tongue-in-cheek, “I tell you, the surest way to get rid of the notorious Snapdragon is to set up a grease pit poisoned with strong acids. The fact that no Autobot hasn't thought it to this day still baffles my mind.”

“You just wouldn't be able resist the need to jump into one,” The more agile Horrorcon mocked his friend while preparing to dodge a possible violent reaction, something which would hardly be unheard of when it came to Snapdragon. Fortunately enough, it didn't happen this time.

"Last time I saw something this messy was probably the aftermath of Black Shadow's assault on the 113th Battalion. I guess they rebuilt him well just not well enough to fight Omega Supreme. So what do we do now wait here or go back and to the prison?"

“Black Shadow? The frag are you babbling about?” Apeface, once again in his primate form - asked with a puzzled look on his face. “Black Shadow's a mere punk. We could take him out. Either of us.”

Apeface pointed an appendage at the burnt husk of Overlord, ”It was all this guy and the rest of Warrior Elite. Wouldn't have thought you'd fall for those rumors spread by Black Shadow and Bacchus. The chump is way over his head.”

Bouncing from Overlord's remains to the entrance of the lab with single leap, Apeface turned to look behind. “I wasn't planning on staying here. That's for sure. Boss didn't issue further orders. I am open to suggestions."

Semper Tyrannis – Bridge

“You heard the commander oh great one of no personality whatsoever,” Finback huffed at the one remaining piece of the Reflector trio from his bacta tank.

“I am moving the Tyrannis to position,” He continued as he skillfully maneuvered the gigantic dreadnought to hover over the remains of the Garrus-9 penitentiary, “Lord Scorponok wants the Rig. Dig it out.”

“Ah! Perfect. Take us to Bludgeon. You know where he is right? Hm?"

The assasin stared at Stranglehold with a look that clearly asked 'is he an idiot?' While laughter erupted from the other two as they moved into view from behind.

"Isn't that cute!" One said his words dripping with sarcasm. "He thinks he can just tell us to take him to someone else."

"Downright adorable." The other echoed flatly.

"You've met Bomb Burst, right?" The one in the door said. "Tall, humorless guy; no patience; doesn't like light; growls a lot, I mean a lot; never asks, only orders; thinks the rest of us are just mobile meals; met that guy? He gets really angry if you don't do exactly what he says. He said to bring you to him, not Bludgeon."

"Primus..." One of the others muttered.

"I suppose you got about a 40% chance he's still with Bludgeon. He was put back under Bludgeon's command." The other said. "Being generous in my estimate though, he was in a 'mood', low on fuel. Not a lot of Autobots left stray to hunt down where he is."

En Route To The Command Center

Okay, as much as he tended to call them idiots and lose patience with them, his unit did posses some intelligent beings. The one that had first peeked into the weapons locker had contacted him silently that contact had been made, then left open a private comm to him, on purpose.

He chuckled softly at what was being said... though the description of him was met with silence, though he had heard it all before. >>"If I didn't know better, I would think you are sabotaging your team mate..."<< He said sarcastically, he was pretty sure that was exactly what was going on. >>"If they want to get the weapons to Bludgeon, they'll have to do it through me. Have him word that in whatever manner of a veiled threat you want, so long as they understand that's my veiled threat, not yours, they're not likely to listen to you very much."<< He muted his comm and sighed, he didn't hold any hope that the two were any more likely to listen to him, but, at least it might help to hasten the slow moving pair.

The Prisoner's Weapons Locker

"You can either come with us or find your own way." The one in the door said. "But no matter what, you'll have to get through the slagging Parasite before you can get to Bludgeon. Our orders were to take you to Bomb Burst. You can spend your time wandering through this slag pit, or take the fast way with us. Bomb Burst's only concern is those weapons get where they need to go."

>>"If you value your continued existence, never call me a parasite again."<<

The assassin's face froze as his commander's icy voice delivered the threat to his life. "You're listening..." He said out loud.

>>"Of course I am listening."<<

"Frag." He muttered and looked at Stranglehold at his commander's silent command before speaking Bomb Burst's words for him. "Moving. Now."

Garrus-9 – Mines

There weren't many sights more terrifying than a pack of Terrorcons prowling through the corridors of an enclosed area like the corridors of Garrus-9, a reek of death following in their wake. The advance guard by Sinnertwin alone was unnerving enough for majority of other Decepticons but what sent them scattering away in fear was the form of an even larger predator following closely behind. Neither the seekers or sweeps wanted nothing to do with the two-headed monster known attack even other Decepticons just for his own amusement. And when the said monster was a known cybervore? The worst of kind really. One either stayed out of his way or risked up ending as his next meal.

Even the fiercely territorial Insecticons crawled out of sight as Hun-Gurrr and three of his Terrorcons made their way into the tunnels leading to the mines. The open terror... the fear he could sense in the other Decepticons... it was as exhilarating as always. He had carefully cultivated this image for thousands of vorns. This was how it was supposed to be. Here, he was the apex predator. Only Scorponok could claim being above him. The rest? No matter how barbaric and fierce they tried to portray themselves – they were nothing next to the savage mighty of Hun-Gar. As notorious as some of them were, none had had the ball bearings to challenge Megatron. Or Scorponok. He had. And those battles had been hard fought. So what if he had lost in the end? He hadn't backed down. He had made them prove their superiority over him. And while he had accepted his place and their leadership over him, he had never stopped looking for a sign of weakness which would allow him to stake his claim of being the strongest one. And woe to those who sought to challenge Hun-Grrr's superiors for they'd have to go through the ferocious Terrorcon first.

Even that one. Snaptrap, the leader of the Seacons. A powerful warrior. The two had clashed before. Victory had been the Terrorcon's. But out of respect to Snaptrap's effort, Hun-Gurrr had let the Seacon live. It was not a privilege given to just anyone. Far more had perished in his hands in the pits than had been carried away with their lives intact.

But Hun-Grr wasn't here for Snaptrap or the Insecticons. He was here for a specific set of Autobot prisoners. And if the others were foolish enough to stand up for their comrades? He would tear them apart. Even that big one. The Wrecker. He would feast on him for days.

“Scatterrrshot... I know you are here... come out. Come out and maybe I will let the otherrrs live a little longerrr.”

"Yeah I have a problem with you, step out of line and I'll make sure you are smelted while you're still online.”

Umbra heaved a heavy sigh internally. “It was an accident…” she mumbled softly, more to herself than anyone else. An accident that she was going to have to live with for the rest of her life. Autobots like Mandate or this one…Roadbuster….were going to outright reject her. Forever. She would never have a home with them again. Though…it really hadn’t been much of one to start with. She’d kept to herself back in the day. Quiet. Obedient. No friends really. Or associates what with her being a solo scout generally.

Umbra had belonged before the war. She’d been a linguistic cryptologist. In the academic world. Deciphering ancient languages and riddles. Ciphers written in dead languages. What had she really thought she could do in the war? She wasn’t especially brave or skilled or….anything. Sure, she had some skill in diffusion, but she had originally learned that for self defense!

The Decepticons would eat her weakness and herself alive. Did she have the better chance with them? Really? Umbra didn’t know. But at least they gave her some respect. Recognition. Friendship. In Icepick’s case.

“I’m sorry…” Umbra mumbled as she followed Roadbuster at a distance, not wanting to agitate the former wrecker any further. She kept her gaze pointed steadily at the ground to spare herself the stares of judgement from Pointblank.

- :BOT: -

Shot down in an instant. Like a delicate insect whose wings were cruelly snipped before their time. Oh, the savagery! The barbarity! His consternation could scarcely be quantified! Highbrow despite his discomposure to assume the appearance of being composed. Fortunately for Highbrow, he caught Brainstorm’s optic, or rather the reverse occurred and a silent, secret signal was exchanged. Instantly, relief swept over Highbrow’s frame, but it did his best to also keep his feeling to an outward minimum.

Highbrow looked over to Nosecone and Strafe with a respectful nod and motioned for them to follow discreetly. The scientist moved in the wake of Scattershot’s group, passing them by to press on deeper into the mines when a serpentine voice made the scientist’s energon run cold.

“Scatterrrshot... I know you are here... come out. Come out and maybe I will let the otherrrs live a little longerrr."

Highbrow turned to look at the provenance of the horrendous utterance. Hun-Grr. Oh dear. Oh…oh dear. The scientist hastened to the mine’s wall as inconspicuously as he could and made himself busy mining away at the rock. Fleeing prey would only attract the Terrorcon and perhaps he and the other two Technobots could serve as a visual shield while Scattershot made his escape deeper into the mines. After all, the Terrorcon alpha only seemed to require Scattershot.

Snapdragon mock glared at his comrade in arms as he poked fun at the interceptors favourite activity outside brutally murdering autobots. A sadistic chuckle emanated from his face plate "well at least I'd go out happy"

“Black Shadow? The frag are you babbling about?" Apeface, once again in his primate form - asked with a puzzled look on his face. “Black Shadow's a mere punk. We could take him out. Either of us."

Snapdragon frowned as far as he remembered Overlord was out near Hell's point in the lead up to Prime and the tremorcons showdown having a fight with Ultra Magnus. Rumours and counter rumours where all part of the Decepticon propaganda machine. Soundwave and his assorted tiny terrors where the masters of it but Snapdragon wasn't really concerned he was sent where told and destroyed things.

Apeface leapt to the entrance to the lab and stated

“I wasn't planning on staying here. That's for sure. Boss didn't issue further orders. I am open to suggestions."

Snapdragon shrugged "dunno it's not like there is anymore fighting to be done on the planet is there?"

Lagging even further behind the others as The Vampire had to stop a few time and resist face palming at the idiocy of what was being said over at the weapons locker, Bomb Burst came to the conclusion that it was time to strike some fear into his subordinates again. Mental note to that.

Something caught his attention as he and Skullgrin continued down the corridor. He raised his hand subtly as an indication something was up. He was hearing some movement off a side corridor.

>>"You hear that? << He sent a silent message off to Skullgrin.

Garrus 9 – Within Converging Sparks

Soul Siren continued to walk away from the scene. Her thoughts were blank, cold. She knew where this would eventually take her and that she would fight it as much as she could but she also knew she would not be successful. At least it would end with her. The fires that would burn her would not consume any others. It did not take long for it to pass. Not against the resources she was facing.

A shock spire suddenly struck her chest sending highly painful and paralyzing amounts of electricity through her small frame. As she shuddered uncontrollably on the ground figures came towards her. Four were rather unremarkable grunts. The fifth figure that walked towards her was clearly the leader but before he could be seen clearly the memory began to break apart. The interference made the figure unrecognizable.

"It is her my lord." One of the grunts said. "Do we finish her?"

"No. Death is a rather easy punishment." Answered the leader calmly. "Memory wipe away the important bits of knowledge and my presence her then send her as a toy for that uncouth barbarian in the mountains. She will know torment for what she did."

Garrus-9 Central--Command Center

Cyclonus stationed himself at what appeared to be one of the few salvageable control panels. It still had power running through it and responded to at least basic commands. it would serve his purpose for the time being as he attempted to dig further into the root cause of the disturbance between Decepticon forces on the ground and in the air.

"A device for dampening comms would require alot of power would the power plant be another viable option for tracking it down? Or even that ship that is currently resting in the roof would that have it aboard?" Bludgeon queried.

"We may not be looking for a specific device. Code. Algorithms. Signals. Anything could have theoretically been used to accomplish those ends," Cyclonus began, looking up and away from the screen in front of him whilst ruminating on Bludgeon's questions. "The Steelhaven went down too soon in the battle. The power station, however, could have been a viable vehicle for routing such an offensive. It, too, was heavily damaged in the fighting, but not irreparably. There is a possibility."

His optics then turned directly to Bludgeon.

"Investigate the remnants. Inform me of anything you find there."

Garrus-9--Northern Wing-Hangar

As a gargantuan set of hangar bay doors slowly slid open, Sweeps began to pour from the steadily increasing aperture. Their destination? One of the remaining Decepticon warships looming overhead in the atmosphere of the Elban moon.

From there? Omega Supreme and whatever poorly chosen destination he thought could hide him.

Bludgeon was purposely striding behind Cyclonus as the Purple war machine headed for central command centre as Bomb burst elaborated on his news that he had.
"As you were busy speaking with that little... umm... Decepticon.... as you passed by... and we're unable to see, Skullgrin has graciously provided us with his presence."

Bludgeon suppressed a smirk as he continued moving forward his optics taking in every notch and blast impact. The scars of battle told Bludgeon the story of what had occurred in those frantic seconds in the battle as Bomb burst continued his news.

"Also... I have located Octopunch and Stranglehold. They are at the weapons locker. I'm told they have yours and Snarler's weapons. I am having them escorted to us to ensure that... they and the weapons arrive safely."

The martial arts master was now slightly more surprised as his long time colleague Octopunch and long time hanger on Stranglehold had been found along with his prized sword. It was then that he decided to reply to bomb burst.

"Your latest mistake is thinking that I missed Skullgrin and yourself skulking in the shadows do not think that because I am distracted by another decepticon that I do not notice everything knowledge is power."

The electric warrior strode into the Command centre muting his comm link for the time, near to Cyclonus who stationed himself at a console starting his search for evidence proving the existence of a damping effect and its possible source.

There is a possibility.
Investigate the remnants. Inform me of anything you find there." "

Bludgeon nodded at Cyclonus's explanation and orders the power station could of easily been repaired by autobots not yet rounded up and sent to the mines or to the Terrorcon's lair.

"By your Command"

Bludgeon moved toward the exit to the command centre he returned his attention to his still open comm link unmuting it.

"You will bring Octopunch, Skullgrin and Stranglehold to the power station complete with the weapons and if I see your assassins so much as smudge the blade of my sword. Let's just say you shall be needing a new assassin, when you get here I shall explain our remit from Cyclonus"

Bludgeon turned around looking for Snarler wondering where the savage was hiding this time

"Snarler? We are going to the power station find a safe route to it"

"Your latest mistake is thinking that I missed Skullgrin and yourself skulking in the shadows do not think that because I am distracted by another decepticon that I do not notice everything knowledge is power."

"Frag." Bomb Burst muttered at Bludgeon's reply, not really irritated but his patience was at an all time low since it seemed he was one big faux pas. Of course Bludgeon noticed. Simply put, he'd been away from Bludgeon far too long and around those who lacked the clarity that his master possessed. The all important detail that separated the exceptional from the mundane, knowing everything. He knew well knowledge was power, he'd be poor at his job if he didn't.
Though he was starting to think there no possibility that he'd ever get back into Bludgeon's good graces. >>"My apologies for my assumptions."<< He offered the apology with no excuses, as per his usual way. Only the weak made excuses.

"You will bring Octopunch, Skullgrin and Stranglehold to the power station complete with the weapons and if I see your assassins so much as smudge the blade of my sword. Let's just say you shall be needing a new assassin, when you get here I shall explain our remit from Cyclonus"

A crooked smile came across the Vampire's faceplate as Bludgeon threatened his assassins. If there was anything that was almost as satisfying as eviscerating someone himself, it was watching Bludgeon execute them. >>"Master... your sword is my utmost concern."<< He said as he addressed the situation of the precious cargo Octopunch held at the moment.
The thought to go to the weapons locker himself and bring back the blade also entered his processor but was quickly dismissed. Octopunch had secured it, it should be his honor to present it to Bludgeon, not the Vampire's.

He muted his comm to Bludgeon and opened the one to his team. >>"We're moving again. Have you started your way here?"<< He asked icily.

>>"No."<< Came the slightly frustrated response.

The Predator sighed. >>"Tell them if they aren't moving in the next 30 astro seconds, they shall have to 'explain' to me why they took so long and so shall you, and that all of you don't want to have to 'explain' to me anything. "<< He said using even more thinly veiled threats. >>"Octopunch is to keep sole possession of Bludgeon's and Snarler's weapons-"<< He was interrupted by one of the assassins.

>>"Stranglehold has Snarler's."<<

>>"So? Okay? Whatever."<< He growled. >>"So Octopunch is to keep sole possession of Bludgeon's weapon, Stranglehold, Snarler's. But if anyone else even thinks to touch Bludgeon's sword, if anyone leaves a mark on it, even the Squid, you'll wish it was I doling out the punishment... as it would be infinitely less painful."<< His optics drifted to Skullgrin for a moment. >>"That sword is your world right now. It must be pristine when it is delivered to Bludgeon... pristine, not even a smudge or a speck of dust. If Stranglehold drools lubricant on it, you will wipe it instantly. If a filthy Autobot charges at you, jump in between the Bot and the sword and let everyone else fend for themselves. If that sword isn't perfect and I lose face over this, that sword might be the last thing you see. Move, now, or I shall be down there personally to get the sword."<<

With affirmative responses from the assassins, he turned his attention to back to Bludgeon. >>"Sir, they will be underway shortly, very shortly, otherwise, they have been warned I will go down there personally and retrieve your sword myself."<< He said. >>"It will be brought to you in perfect condition."<< Muting the comm again he turned his attention to Skullgrin who was not privy to any of that conversation.

"My friend..." He said with a bit of sarcasm and a bit of a sigh. "I do not like management roles. Bludgeon and Snarler are now moving to the power station. The assassins have been ordered to bring Octopunch and Stranglehold and Master's weapons to me and I am to deliver the whole fragging lot of you to him." He switched to a private conversation again. >>"Meanwhile, I think we're not alone here. Let's find out exactly who we have company of, then we can trail behind Bludgeon and Snarler.<<"

"I swear if he says 'shall' one more time..." The first assassin muttered after making sure his comm was closed. He looked to his team mates with face that clearly read 'if anyone has their comm open for the Parasite to eavesdrop, you're dead.'
>>Do you suppose we're using words that are too big for them?"<< He silently asked his team.
Both the others shrugged.

His optics went to Stranglehold and the further back Octopunch. "Bomb Burst wants us to go... to him..." He said as simply as he could. "Now."

"He's getting impatient." The second assassin (the one who initially peeked into the locker) said.

"Umm, and make sure not to soil or damage that sword..." The third chimed in. A cold look went to the two. "He was very sure to point out the pain even the two of you will be in if that blade isn't perfect."

Garrus-9 Central--Amphitheater

“And how many did not survive your original screening process?"

Jhiaxus' expression darkened as his thoughts returned to those early days of his experimentation. Oh yes, a good many had been sacrificed in the pursuit of creating what was to become Monstructor. The first. Well, the first to be created by the hands of another Cybertronian, unless one believed the legends. The fact that he had been able to accomplish that which only Primus itself had been able to accomplish originally, well, that did plenty to fuel Jhiaxus' already burgeoning confidence in those days. Nova Prime had certainly found few faults with his methods. Those who did not fit within the parameters of his rigid caste system were easily discarded into the depths of his chief scientist's cavernous research halls.

"Far too many," Jhiaxus said from the heights of his observation chair, one holoscreen after another blinking into existence as Jhiaxus worked. "But within the Rig, I had no shortage of time to think. To modify. And thus I will."

“Focus your attention on this one. Perfect the process. Understand that no new Cybertronian has been born in tens of thousands of vorns. The chance of success needs to be higher before this can be applied to my Decepticons."

The reality that their world had gone stagnant only served to reinforce Jhiaxus' notions any more. War had ceased their kind's evolutionary process. He would serve as its ignition switch just as he had before.

"So shall it be," Jhiaxus said, his expression neutral as he brought up the specific tech spec scan of Afterburner while also perusing the mechadata regarding the other four in his unit. The Technobots. Hmm. How very apropos.
___

The Semper Tyrannis--Bridge

“You heard the commander oh great one of no personality whatsoever. I am moving the Tyrannis to position. Lord Scorponok wants the Rig. Dig it out."

Reflector's baleful gaze settled on the encased captain's form for a few short moments before returning his attention to the console in front of him. A task of the sort that the High Commander had ordered would require the ship, even this ship, to be something more than what it already was. Fortunately it had been designed with such capabilities. Sometimes destruction was not the only goal. Extraction had its uses also, whether it be an entrenched Autobot bunker or, in this case, a treasure trove of supposed war criminals. At least insofar as the Autobots had determined their guilt. The Conclave would most certainly wish to reevaluate their standing. Reflector's hands worked steadily, engaging one sequence and then another as the massive warship reached its optimum position.

>>"All Decepticon personnel should maintain distance from the following areas in order to ensure continued functionality,"<< Reflector transmitted, sending location-specific tags and markers to every functioning Decepticon within the penitentiary.

Having lowered itself further into the atmosphere, now not far from the prison structure itself, the underside of the Semper Tyrannis underwent something of a partial transformation sequence. Massive, clawlike drills began to extend downward toward the surface, their extenders slowly pushing themselves to their functional limits as the ship continued to descend to the maximum safe distance allowed. As it did, the drill structures began to rip through one of the ancillary corridors of the prison and into the Elban moon itself. That was not its destination however. No, its prize lay deeper still.

At his post, Reflector's optics scanned the various readouts of the prison, new data that had been acquired in the time since their raid, and topographical data related to the Elban moon itself. All of it was valuable as he guided the massive claws to that which Lord Scorponok sought.

The drilling claws themselves tore through the Elban terrain with ease. The reinforced steel of the prison itself was proving to be more of a challenge, however.

"The extractor is taking damage. Even Garrus' substructures are reinforced," Reflector commented absently as he continued to work.

Nosecone continued to listen to all that was said. It sort of hurt his feelings when Highbrow didn't want to be included into the little trio Scattershot set up. It took Scattershot's typical reminder of command structure to keep Highbrow in line. Usually such tactics were more for Afterburner since he is the most disrespectful out of the Technos. The other thing he observed was how the bugs and fish didn't get along. It seems the bugs believe the mine are theirs while Snaptrap thinks the mine are more his or at most Scorponok. He opened his private line to his fellow Technobots and also voiced his opinion out loud.

"It seems the mines are getting rather crowded and the Cons are noticing. The bugs think this is there mine while the fish believe it is theirs or at least in command of it thanks to their high and mighty Scorponok. In fighting has always been a problem in the Con rank and file and even us Bots have our fair share but not to the same degree."

It wasn't more than a cycle later some of the Terrorcons show up with Hungrr calling out Scattershot. This didn't sit well with Nosecone at all since they already have Afterburner. Are the Cons trying to squash whatever resistance they have by removing the head or is there something more? No matter what the reason, Nosecone is going to make things a bit more difficult. He had memorized several meters up and down along the mine. He knew where to hit to get a partial collapse. Without any warning, he stepped a couple meters to his right and dug into the wall a meter up from the floor. A crack formed and it went up the wall and into the ceiling. Several chunks of the ceiling came down with some of the upper most part of both walls. Dust and smaller debris filled the air. Nosecone got pelted by the debris but felt little due to his heavy armor. He then spoke up in his most respectful tone.

"My apology, Terrorcon commander. The spot was more sensitive then I thought it. I hope you nor your fellow Terrorcons didn't get injured. One thing I am curious about is how many times mechs get you and the Horrorcons confused at least in group names."

Pointblank had taken in the abrasive interaction between the bot he'd just barely met, this Umbra, and Roadbuster without saying a word. What good were his words going to do either of them in that situation. He didn't know the femme. He couldn't vouch for her. Roadbuster at least had been battle tested plenty of times. he was as true to the Autobot cause as anyone he knew, even if his tactics were unorthodox. That's why he was a Wrecker. They were the definition of unorthodox. But those same methods could easily get them all wiped out down here when they were so severely outgunned. This whole operation was a matter of walking a strategic tightrope the likes of which Pointblank had never before encountered. Where was Prowl when you needed him? The one time they could find a good use for the prick...

“I’m sorry…" the femme had muttered after her rough handling in the grip of Roadbuster was over. Pointblank had to admit, if this mech was anything other than what she claimed to be, she was in for a rough road ahead.

"Sorry's probably as good as you can do right now. It's a fragged situation. Roady's not gonna feel on his game until he can get back to smashing Deceptichops," Pointblank said with a shrug.

"I've got to ask, though, how'd you get that delirious? I mean...I've been out of my head a few times before. I've never killed an Autobot because of it."

Honestly, to Pointblank, the whole situation sounded kind of off. He had to know more about this femme's story before he could decide whether or not she deserved the treatment she had just received at the hands of the Wrecker.

Before Lightspeed could even get an answer from the Technobot commander regarding his little revelation regarding the whereabouts of the warden, another presence made itself known within the mines. And if his treatment at the hands of Snaptrap hadn't been bad enough, well, this was a step worse. Maybe several. It was hard to gauge Decepticon brutality levels after a certain point.

Hungrr. The Terrorcon Commander. Lightspeed's circuits froze. He couldn't move if he had wanted to. Nosecone, it seemed, could. Not only that, he addressed the Terrorcon directly.

Lightspeed merely looked at his fellow Technobot with a gaze that questioned whether or not he had, in fact, lost his mind.

Having transformed back into his land shark alt mode, Rippersnapper followed Hun-grrr away from the Last Resort and down into the Elban mines beneath the vast Autobot penitentiary. That was were they would find their quarry, the Technobots. Scattershot and his team were not just the Terrorcons’ quarry but their direct rivals, as well. They had faced one another countless times in the past, each side besting the other at different points throughout the long war. Both sides still functioned, of course, much to the chagrin of Rippersnapper and his horrific brood. The Technobots would die eventually, but not this time, not before they suffered some more at the claws of Lord Scorponok, himself!

Moving through the mines, the other Decepticons, Autobot prisoners and Insecticon diaclones scattered in the Terrorcons’ wake. Even the Seacons knew better than to mess with them. Although, truth be told, Rippersnapper almost felt more at home with their kind considering his amphibious alt mode. In fact, there was even a member of the Seacons, Overbite, that shared a similar shark form. Overbite was smaller than Rippersnapper but his strength was greater. Both also shared similar weaknesses when out of a watery environment, but the terrorist managed it better and possessed greater endurance, firepower and courage. Ripper was certainly feared more as a Terrorcon than he would be as a Seacon and that was why he remained with Hun-grrr. The Terrorcons struck terror into the sparks of all those around them. They were his brethren. Always had been, always would be.

Finally, the Terrorcon Commander stopped and called out for Scattershot. The Technobots were not far ahead. At least four of them were. The one called Afterburner was missing. It mattered little. He would be found and brought to Lord Scorponok. Unless, of course, he was already there. Rippersnapper was unsure, but it was not his job to think too much. He just followed his master’s orders and he did so without sucking up in the way Blot did. Speaking of which, the little brown noser was right there, as well. The shark monster glanced over at his comrade and gave him a wide, toothy grin. Ripper said nothing. He just gazed at Blot with a stare meant to annoy his teammate more than anything.

It was then that Rippersnapper felt a rumble in the mines. Moving up beside Hun-grrr, the blue and white terrorist returned his attention to the Technobots as Nosecone decided to dig into one of the mine walls, causing a crack that led up to the ceiling. Quickly, chunks of the ceiling and top of the walls collapsed down onto the Terrorcon convoy. Several rocks and bits of dirt struck the land shark in his cranium and body, but nothing did any sort of real damage. Rippersnapper, like all of his unit, had high endurance. Surely, the Technobot driller knew that after all this time. Of course, he did. He simply wanted to be an annoyance, and to make matters worse for himself, Nosecone then dared to address Hun-grrr directly, offering a fake apology for the mess.

“Idiot!” Rippersnapper retorted as he took a single step forward. The former actor wanted to tear into Nosecone and rip out his innards. However, the terrorist stopped himself. This insolent Technobot would be dealt with by Hun-grrr and no one else. The Terrorcon Commander did not need Ripper, or anyone else for that matter, fighting his battles for him. Instead, the shark creature turned to look at his master and bowed his head in obedience, moving back into his prior position. Nothing needed to be said. Rippersnapper knew his place and he knew it well.

As the shark beast awaited Hun-grrr’s reaction to the Technobot fool, Ripper set his sights on one of the other members of the team, Strafe. The aerial gunner looked rather nervous as he always did. Such a cowardly mech. He would make the perfect prisoner for the terrorist to escort and, of course, torment along the way. “What’s the matter, Strafe? You seem a little scared. Heh. Don't be afraid. I'll take good care of you.” Rippersnapper’s toothy grin grew even wider as salivating fluids dripped from his jaws. The fun had already begun.

Knowing the situation's potential to get out of hand, Skullgrin remained quiet and simply followed Bomb-burst through the proceedings. He found that it was not prudent to make himself the focus of any attention. It kept his options open.

Bomb Burst looked at the oddly silent Skullgrin with a quizzical tilt of his head. With a shrug he started in motion to no where in particular. Knowing Bludgeon and Snarler where probably about to get moving in a moment he wanted to lag behind and 'bring up the rear' as it were... mostly to listen for 'company'.

Nothing was ever silent, and the wreaked prison was no exception. It had noises like a city in the depth of night, less bustle but no shortage of background noises. Picking up the sounds of a brute of a guard was simple (compared to trying to listen for an assassin), and knowing exactly what you're listening for is a major advantage. The shuffle of a foot against the ground, weapons being readied, shifting position to look for a better vantage... And he heard all of that, very near by.

>>"Well, your sudden silence at least helped me hear what I was wanting to."<< The Predator sent silently to his fellow predator. >>Sounds like we have about 4 onlookers getting ready to ambush us. All to our front and right. Well pass them in a moment so... ready to show off that impressive arsenal of yours to the Bots?"<<

"So... what if it were that I needed your support in a matter... or as you said things going sideways?" He asked making small talk as they moved. He wasn't really interested in an answer, or the question. He just didn't want their would be ambushers to know he knew they were there. Act... natural....

Blot’s vision went into a haze of red as rage, pure and unrelenting consumed him. The Technobot had actually addressed the master. Hun-Grr. Not only that, but insulted them all as well by dropping rocks on them? No. This would not pass. Rippersnapper may be a….a….well, something stupid! Stupid face! Bah, forget it. However. Rippersnapper and the others were all brothers in arms and energon. Led by their amazingly good leader Hung-Grr. Blot wished he had the command of words that others did to describe these things. He just…didn’t.

Rippersnapper’s angry retort only served to incense Blot further. As Rippersnapper turned to Hun-Grr to bow his head, Blot transformed into his monstrous alternate mode and flung himself forward at the Technobot. He would give the master that Bot’s head on a platter!

”RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” Blot roared as he charged, raising one massive fist in the air to smash into the puny Autobot’s chest.

Snaptrap, for his part, had noted the entrance of the Terrorcons. It was rather difficult not to. He watched them mildly with some curiosity before they made their purpose partially known. Here for Scattershot. One of their long-time rivals. Unfortunately for them, unless they were on business from Lord Scorponok, they would not be allowed to make a meal out of any of the prisoners under his watch.

The Seacon Commander began to walk toward Hun-Grr in order to confront him when Nosecone, one of the Technobots, created a slight avalanche of rocks onto the Terrorcon convoy. He snapped his head around toward the Technobot, glaring at him balefully when the snarl of Rippersnapper drew his attention back to the Terrorcons. Fortunately, it seemed as though Rippersnapper’s retaliation would be left to Hun-Grr himself. Good. Then there would be time to-

Snaptrap’s optics widened as Blot flung himself forward in a crazed rage. “HUN-GRR, CONTROL YOUR MEN!” he snapped as he whipped out his rifle in some half-thought out attempt to blast Blot off course.

- :BOT: -

”Sorry’s probably as good as you can do right now. It’s a fragged situation. Roady’s not gonna feel on his game until he can get back to smashing Deceptichops.”

Umbra perked up as Pointblank spoke, looking at him with a sad, defeated expression. Maybe that had something to do with the ex-Wrecker’s attitude. Maybe not. At least Pointblank didn’t seem as volatile. Maybe she wouldn’t get served up like so much scrap metal.

”I’ve got to ask, though, how’d you get that delirious? I mean…I’ve been out of my head a few times before. I’ve never killed an Autobot because of it.”

Umbra flinched slightly at the use of the word kill, but she figured it couldn’t hurt to explain what happened a bit more clearly. “I guess…delirious wasn’t quite the right word…You see, I was…marooned on this rock really early on in the war, I guess. Feels like just a couple of cycles ago to me. Got left there. Not enough energon to last me. Didn’t know when or if I’d ever be found…so I went into stasis to, you know, stay alive.”

The agent paused for a moment, trying to figure out how to next best put it. She looked over to Pointblank. “So, think of the worst thing that’s ever happened to you. Got it? Now imagine…reliving it on repeat for…I dunno…they told me it’s been…what three million years? That long. Then you get woken up. It’s kind of…a shock.”

Snarler followed. Snarler listened. Snarler sniffed. The air was tense. Cyclonus, equal even to the Chief here, was under pressure and the trackers snout could sense every change in the warriors oil pressure and every minute heat exchange brought on by Scorponoks wrath, yet the Chief, Bludgeon, was as unchanging as a stone, especially next to the pungent light show that was Cypher, squirming under the inquisition it had brought on itself. Millennia of training, dedication and control gifted Bludgeon a stillness unequalled, and that was why he was the chief.

He had dutifully followed his leader, patient and silent, remaining in the Warg altmode he truly believed was his natural form. He soon found the conversation uninteresting though, and his attention wandered towards Bomb Burst. His tracking senses able to pin point the silent assassins location even if his optics and audio weren't up to the job, he reached out to 'see' the arrogant one. *sniff sniff* The bat has found a friend... he muttered. He tasted the air of the corridor the vampire had travelled, Bomb Burst was also agitated; bored and restless. The other presence he thought he might recognise, but he would wait to find out - whoever it was would answer to the chief regardless.

He turned his attention back to Bludgeon as Cyclonus finally gave his instructions, which were in turn handed down to him.
Bludgeon wrote:"Snarler? We are going to the power station find a safe route to it"
Wordlessly, Snarler turned his snout to the air. Power stations reeked of fuel, energy, toil, sweat, confusion and pressure. It was close, and the miasma it created was loaded with the promise of both fuel and adventure.

Bludgeon watched Snarler appear from behind some data stacks the savage was sniffing the air still. Despite his savage appearance Snarler was exceptional at his job two routes two potential fates. It was Bludgeon's way to face fate head on this didn't hinder his thinking as the Martial Arts master thought raising his head he spoke

"it is the ideal time to flush out any potential stragglers running around. I do not have time to play hide and seek this place is devoid of any honourable opponents. Direct Route we find out any information and report"

Bludgeon awaited his subordinate to start moving off

"When you are ready Snarler"

Garrus-9 – The Mines

It had all occurred so swiftly. The rumble proceeded by the cracks growing in the passageway's ceiling. The shower of splintered rock that pelted the Terrorcons from above. Rippersnapper's reaction to the unpredicted barrage. Blot's reaction to the unpredicted barrage. And Snaptrap's frantic order to Hun-Grrr, amplified by the cannon he grasped threateningly in his actuator.

He was a lot of trouble, this Nosecone. A creator of commotion, a formulator of mischief – Sinnertwin did not take too kindly to his type. He never had, and though he didn't snarl his displeasure at him or cause the Technobot physical harm – but he wanted to, oh, he wanted to – he knew that right did not belong to him. It was Hun-Grrr's.

Shaking the rock fragments off his back and shoulders, Sinnertwin restricted his frustration to the darkness of his mind. There it lurked, like an ambush predator, concealed and prepared to be unleashed when the Technobot least expected it. Sinnertwin would be responsible for an... accident of his own. One of the Technobots would unfortunately suffer because of it, and perhaps that individual would be Nosecone.

But not now, not while the behaviour of Rippersnapper and Blot displayed them as less disciplined than Sinnertwin. The sentry needed to exploit that at the moment. He needed to maintain his composure even if he blazed just as fiercely on the inside to exact revenge on Nosecone – that little greasy stain for an Autobot.

“Yes, yes...” Sinnertwin whispered, lowering his heads and targeting the Technobots with his sinister gaze. “Soon, soon...” He looked at Nosecone and grinned. “Have your fun for now. While you can...”

"My apology, Terrorcon commander. The spot was more sensitive then I thought it. I hope you nor your fellow Terrorcons didn't get injured. One thing I am curious about is how many times mechs get you and the Horrorcons confused at least in group names."

The nerve of this insufferable fool. As if he had not noticed what the Technobot had done. Hun-Grrr stared at Nosecone in slight disbelief as the rain of splintered rock from the ceiling bounced harmlessly off his extremely thick armor plating. In fact, each Terrorcon bolstered at least as much armor as their obnoxious Technobot adversary. In case of Hun-Gar and Blot – even more. The fact that Nosecone thought he could hurt them, let alone escape Hun-Gurrr's wrath by doing this was just... incomprehensible.

And as if trying to bury the Terrorcons alive had not been enough, the Technobot driller managed to make everything even worse for him and his team. After an attempt on their lives - it had the audacity to insult them? Nosecone would suffer. Scorponok wanted them alive but they had crossed the line. Hun-Grrr would deliver the Technobots to the gargantuan warlord but he was not goint to deliver them to Scorponok in one piece. Not anymore.

Surprisingly enough Rippersnapper and Sinnertwin managed to keep their cool for once. Same could not be said about Blot who had taken up to himself to defend Hun-Gurrr's honor. He appreciated the brute's loyalty. But Blot should have known better. Hun-Grr did not need anyone to fight his battles for him. He only commanded it. And here today, he had not. No more he needed the Seacons stepping in the way. Not that anyone else than Snaptrap would have the ball bearings to do so against the leader of the Terrorcons anyway.

"HUN-GRR, CONTROL YOUR MEN!"

“Grrrr... stand down Snaptrap! Commanderrr Scorrrponok wants them brrrought to him alive... and that is the only reason that separates them frrrom my last meal!” One of Hun-Gar's heads growled as the massive beast spun around a whiplashed Blot off Nosecone with a powerful hit from his tail.

“Back off Blot! This scrraplet belongs to me!” Hun-Gurr's heads roared in unison as the lashed at Nosecone's arms. Having secured hold of the Technobot's both arms in his jaws, the leader of the Terrorcons' yanked the heavily built Technobot off the ground as if he weighted no more than a minibot.

“Sufferrrrrr...”

With Nosecone now hanging high in the air in his unbreakable grasp, his teeth cutting even deeper into the Technobot's arms, Hun-Gar's dragonic heads began to pull Nosecone's arms in opposite directions. Slowly. Deliberately. He wanted the Technobot to suffer rather than doing it as fast as he could. Metal wailed and screeched. Polymer sinew and cydraulics were stretched to their breaking point before eventually starting to snap in two under the strain from the Terrorcon's immense strength. And as it was inevitably ordained, the breaking point was reached as Nosecone's left shoulder joint broke apart under the pull. Something which Hun-Grrr finished with a swing of his head that sent now one armed Nosecone flying several dozen meters through the air before slamming into a wall.

“Seize him! Find the rrrest!” One of Hun-Garrr's heads barked out orders to his men while his other proceeded to swallow the arm still in its grasp as whole into the grinders within his esophagus.
