Over two years ago, I decided to make LioKaiser. Originally he was going to be a six m,an team, and I was going to make a Shapeways torso and hips that the six guys could plug into. But alas, it ended up being over 140 euros which I was never going to fork out for. So I adapted and used Cyclonus instead, meaning Jarugar is floating free in combined mode. But I think you'll agree this shows Cyclonus should have been the LioKaiser repaint instead of Sky Lynx:

Can you pretty please send me a few snapshots of the hip part designs anyways? I know you said the design would be expensive to print, but I'd still be willing to look into it, especially as I have a 3D printer of my own to make it a reality.

The spindle holding them together was just to make it one piece to make cheaper printing. It's meant to have Dragstrip from car mode, legs are bent 90 degrees (with his arms still all tabbed in) and the part of his legs that should go behind his seat is inserted in that gap in the top, and his spoiler in the drop down part towards the front. And the entire front half of the car should be pointing straight up. And the 'seperate' piece would go into his rear hand/foot/gun hole to cover it up. I can't say how well everything lines up or what the tolerances are as I haven't printed it.

It's meant to have Air Raid in the front, jet nose pointing down with his legs folded at 90 degrees over the top (head would somehow be put in here) and Dragstrip inserted in the back, so the two would form a cube with their bodies.

Hehe. Funny story about that. I'm colourblind and thought it was a perfect match to screenshots. It was only when I showed my gf and she said "I thought you were putting green on him. Where's the green?" did I learn I had done him the complete wrong colour. :lol:

I also keep forgetting G1 constructicons are green, not yellow in the cartoon.

And thanks. I'm very proud of how he turned out.

Huh. I'll try to sort those links at some point. Don't know how long it will take htough.

There's actually a better trabsformation for Jallugar, that gets cloder to his rocket launcher dune buggy:

Fold the feet/spoiler pieces up 90*. The peg hole that is now shooting syraihht up, peg the HFG into that. You can now use the foot hinge to aim up toward the sky, and swibel the HFG in its peg. And it puts the gun further back on the car body.

But you have done a great job with the heads abd painting, color choice mistake not withstanding. I think I prefer the Hasbro Drillhorn (?) more than the Drill on Rook, but thats personal taste.

Thanks. The hasbro drillhorn just looks too scrawny a drill to be effective. Ideally, I would have used Takara Nosecone but you can't get that outside a boxset and I'm not buying another UW Computron just for that.

Hhhmmm. I hadn't thought of that. Thanks, I'll try it out. Jarugar was the first one I did, and that mould was chosen for the original combine to a torso idea and because the Swindle mould didn't exist at the time. But I'm planning on doing a new one with Hound. His head is a good shape and he can mount a pair of HFG on his back for the missile pods.

I've seen a few crop up on Ebay, guys who part out thr boxsets, but they can be pricey.

I have had CW Mirage runni g around with the foils up as the blue Rescue Force version of Jaruguar. I am not much of a painter, but now you have me wondering how close the balck G2 Dragstrip would be.
