The Kreons were the best part of Kreo IMO. So from a sales viewpoint I can see what they are going for here. But I've learnt my lesson from last year. No Kreo or Kreons for me thanks.

Its a personal issue of sorts and nothing to do with the designs, characters or Kreo brand. I purchased the entire run of Transformer Kreo last year excluding the smaller Prime. I had a ball building Jazz and then Mirage. Then Optimus. But after that they all became incredidbly repetitive. So much in fact that Starscream is still MISB in the garage. I just blew a lot of coin on a lot of playsets that I didnt enjoy. So I will be passing on these. But like I said the Kreons themselves were actually quite good, so I hope people enjoy these smaller sets.

I think they look pretty cool. I'm a big fan of Kreons, not so much a fan of the actual building sets though. The only series 1 sets that have not ended up in a box in the closet are Prime and Movie Bumblebee. I think these combiners are pretty cool though. The alt forms are silly at best, but the bot modes look good, and the combiner modes could use some work. They aren't bad for the price.

My fiancee loves lego figures.She doesn't collect transformers, but even she asked why they didnt sell these little guys separately. I have a feeling I will be picking up a few of these sets for her.

They look fairly decent for the price; I’m not really a Kre-O fan but I’m sure I’ll pick these up if they ever show up in UK stores.

I’m slightly baffled by the amount of bile being directed at them actually. Even if they aren’t your thing, it’s not as if these getting a release mean something in the pipeline has had to have been sacrificed.

More Transformer stuff is more Transformer stuff.

It's a Combiner thing mostly and Hasbro's inability to make one "proper".

Ah, gotcha. Perfectly understandable. The way you wrote the original post, I thought you meant you'd had some serious qc issues or something.

We have some additional information regarding the recently revealed Kre-O Transformers single pack Kreons courtesy of Entertainment Earth. Wave one with feature 12 randomly blind-packed characters including:

Waspinator
Sunstorm
Spinster
Galvatron
Crankstart
Scorponok

The other six character remain a mystery.

I'm not a huge fan of blind packs, mostly because I don't want to end up with multiples of the same figure, but oh well. Kreons look fun!

Learn to feel the pieces. Sure, you might get odd looks as you stand at the boxes near the check out counters feeling the packs, but I do that all the time for legos. :lol:

No matter which one it is, i'm curious as to how they'll pull off him having a tail behind him in robot mode, as G1, BW, Energon, and Movie Scorps all do (TransTech Scorponok hasn't been visually seen yet, and Animated "Scorponok" is... well, he's a whole different topic).
