Cybertron Swoop Finished

Postby reece » Fri Jun 16, 2006 10:59 am

Hello everyone. I want to thank you all for following along with my project of Cybertron Swoop and all of the feedback that everyone shared with me. :D I finally was able to take some more pictures of him. I looked and looked for the second missile for his launcher but still have not been able to locate it. Maybe it'll turn up soon. Thanks again and hope you enjoy the pictures. :)

Nice! I love how you incorporated the old rocket launchers into him. Didn't really think much of that mold until now. You really turned the thing around.

Great job. :)

Same here, but with those cannons on his back, I'm not sure he needs them any more...

Great job, Reece!

Wow!!! :D
Thank you everyone!!! I've been busy since I posted with work and child and all so I am sorry that I did not post untill now ( with everyone's replies and all ). Never expected this to go over so well at the beginning so you all are verry much appreciated with all of your input. Honestly, If it had not been for all of you I probably would not have had the guts to try and cut his wings for the alternate positioning. If anybody wants to do this bash and have question's please feel free to ask or has found a better way to make it let me know and please post your work cause I would love to see.
If I find another Brimstone in the stores I will try and pick it up because I think he can be adapted to transform like the original Swoop. I'm not sure If I have the skill's or not to do it so If anyone want's to try I say go for it.

Ptitvite, I know you said in the other thread that you are going to buid yourself a swoop. I'm not sure if you would want to use this or not but when I started this I was not sure what type of head I wanted to use. I chose to use the existing head because I decided to go for a more older, battle hardned swoop. The other head I was thinking about was off of a Armorhide. It is pretty close to the same size ratio as Brimstone's and to me it looked promising as a cartoon looking head of Swoop. There are also a lot of them left in the stores around here. Good luck with your Swoop! :D To me it is of the highest honor to have another person want to make something like mine. Thank you and again good luck! I know with your skills it will come out great! :D

Again, Thank you all!!! Reece

I really like the modified Brimstone head you made. I have a Armorhide and indeed, the head may be adequate for a Swoop. I received my brimstone last week, I don't know when I'll work on it but I did'nt buy it for it's good looks!
If there is one thing I would need help with, it's the wings. I would like a closer look of what was done to allow the wings to be rotating that way. I quite don't see much in the pics. Need more pics!!! please!!! :D

Your wish is my command!! Give me a little bit and I'll have some for ya! I'm on baby watch tonight so I should have some put up in the next 24 hours or so. Hopefully. :)
I'll have to warn ya though, up close is probably not as pretty, and you can probably find a better and a neater way of doing this, but it worked for me.

The main portion was from a knockoff insect transformer from one of those dollar stores. I think I have one still in the box, I'll take a picture of it too for you BasherDrake. The main portion are robot legs from the insect, the red stripe was cut from styrene, the front guns are coffee straws, the back afterburners are from Skyblast's energon weapon, and the top black part and side intake port is from odds and ends spare parts.
I'm glad you like them! :D
