So, even though i have nothing but contempt for the power core combiners line, on a whim i picked up Bombshock and the combaticons. As i was transforming him into his vehicle mode, i noticed something about the little panels on his legs that form the sides of the vehicle. Mine has the exact same panel on each leg. It looks like i have 2 left leg panels instead of a right and a left. It SORT of works in transformation, but leaves the figure ever-so-slightly lopsided. Anyone else have this defect? These panels wind up on the back of his thighs in combined mode.

The PCC concept is DEFECTIVE!! From the crippled/deformed limbs to the drone not having a bot mode.
You should never have bought it.
I know that little rant didn't help you in the least but i had to say it.

Whoa, calm down there. No need for such flames.

Anyhow, such a defect, where the wrong part is assembled, is one of the more common ones among figures that have mirrored parts. Just return or exchange it.

Hmm... I don't know. I think if they made some drones that didn't automatically transform by themselves, they would work better overall. Give it a sturdy joints, and use the space for other gimmicks and they would work well.... now I want a 3rd party company to do that.

I have nothing against the PCC. My Bombshock doesn't have any defect like that.

Heh, on mine the left leg drone doesn't completely combine with the main body. I finally got it to work, but if I move the figure it comes off.

Reckon I'll just leave it combined and not move it. Hopefully, the other sets are made better.

Yeah. It was spur of the moment. honestly? the line does have some potential, but it could have been pulled off much better. the drone transformations are really weak. how much harder would it have been to design em so we get decent looking FISTS that pop out instead of these mismatched claw hands? I understand why hasbro did it this way though. given that every limb is different, the idea is to collect sets til you get what you want

Hopefully you still got your receipt. Return it, and hope your replacement isn't a defect. Its what I did with my Double Clutch/Rallybots. Still had issues as everyone else, but at least his limbs weren't falling off left and right. My bombshock is fine though. I have some issues with the PCC line, but I have bigger issues with the others, so I'm quite happy.

I've been lucky so far with my PCC 5 packs so far, those being only Bombshock and Skyburst. No defects found on those. The thing that worries me is that Bombshocks and Skybursts are literally clogging the shelves at my local stores, which means it could be a while till they start stocking wave two. Same holds true for the two-packs. It doesn't seem as if the public have taken to the PCC concept as a whole.

I notice the 2-packs selling quite well in my area, and sometimes I see the 5-packs thinning out, but they quickly restock. It'd be great if they ever expand on this in the future... maybe making an even bigger combiner that works with the others.

guess i'll have to take it back. Anyone know if kmart lets you return items to a kmart OTHER than the one you made the purchase at?

Actually, I think monstergrotusque is speaking the truth

PCC seems like a failed line. Not quite sure what Hasbro was thinking with this one.

You should be able to return it to any Kmart.

From Hasbro's perspective, I totally get the marketing concept/potential of it. But without individual limbs that transform and homages to characters that we know and love and zero fiction for us to learn to like the new characters/concepts ... the whole line seems at a reach for existing Transformers fans. Considering how these things have been peg and shelf sitters since their debut, I think I'm right. Plus with the upcoming multi-packs (5 pk + bonus 2 pk) and that Hasbro has sent out a few promotional packages to sites like Seibertron.com, I feel like they're really trying to push this concept but it's not getting traction.

You ain't kiddin'.

These things just ain't movin'.

I took Bombshock back to Wal-Mart. I tried to like him, and I see that it's possible to have some really great ideas come out of the line, but they're just not trying right now.

PCC is the best example of "filler line". It was given enough push and time to get into production, and to give them something to sell in a lull, but not much thought went beyond that part of it.

I realize that Classics set the bar pretty high for filler lines, but dang, it's like they're not even trying.

However, in all fairness to PCC, I don't see TF anything selling right now. Exclusives, yes, but not much else.

I'm stunned how much HFTD, Generations and PCC are just...sitting there. In my local Wal-Mart, Two H.A. Jazzes sitting there and not selling? I'm absolutely floored.

I'm worried. I won't lie.

i own all of wave 1 and 2 five packs and two packs and i've only had one problem. when i purchased mudslinger from walmart, his legs literally shattered. the thigh swivel just shattered, luckily i was able to exchange him and the one i have now has no problem. i think i just had a defected mudslinger, thats never happened to me before. other than that im really digging this line

I gotta say, some of the drones don't look as nice on the commanders they came with. Mudslinger for instance doesn't look half as good with the Destructicons as he does with Bombshock's Combaticons. I guess thats the beauty of the whole mix and match concept. I hope you get a good exchange and you have better luck with future toys in the line, quality control seems to be half-assed with the Power Core Combiners unfortunately.

Still, to cry bloody murder over a simple defect that could happen on any figure? Seems a bit harsh no?

Back on topic, after reading the many problems the line seems to have I now want to try them out more than ever. I'm just weird that way. It just all comes down to "Good idea, bad execution".

Honestly? if hasbro had just THOUGHT some of this stuff through... take crankcase and the destrons. nice looking repaint... black semi... could have called him SCOURGE!!!!!!!!! or better yet? package him with repainted rallybots and call him motomaster with the stunticons! Hell call him Menasor if Motomaster's trademark isn't available

So i got my PCC bombshock replaced np. I picked up huffer and caliburst thinking vaguely of repainting huffer. I start taking a look at caliburst... and his head snaps off!

Granted... I don't really care about a crappy little mini-con like that, but wtf hasbro, wtf. so far this whole like feels kinda like a middle finger to longtime collectors

wow... you are having some really bad luck! how the heck did caliburst's head snap off? it doesn't even move and is a little nub! Return it, dont settle for less! I, however, love the minicons... When i was younger, and collected the armada line, I hated them... but now I'm really starting to appreciate them, even enjoying my old armada toys more! I have an affinity toward assistant type bots, they are kinda like pets.

dude, your luck sucks.
I have everybody from waves 1 and 2 save Mudslinger. My only problems come from Doubleclutch's failed design. No wrong parts, no snapping bits.
