Hey folks..
Here's a quick review of the TF DOTM : Ultimate Optimus Prime.

TransMy (Transfans Malaysia) members managed to get their hands on the TF DOTM : Ultimate Optimus Prime. We were goofing around with it and basically did a quick review of it.

The event was at a local shopping mall in Malaysia in conjunction with Chevrolet's "TF Dark of The Moon Rollout". TransMY were there in support, displaying our collections from G1 till the recent DOTM line.

Mech-tech for Ultimate Optimus Prime at 1:20.

This prime had a custom paint job on it courtesy of ToyPicasso.

For someone who's too lazy to watch the whole thing, whats your final verdict? i say im buying it for power up mode and truck mode :lol:

The figure itself looks pretty meh though. But ohmigod that Mechtech is amazing!

yeah, the fact thats it's got some visor thing with it and light-em up action.. the mech tech looks pretty bad ass...

Is the OP customed paint? Because the paint apps looks really nice and that is so unlike Hasbro..

Go giant supermarket can buy silver spray paint spray :lol:

I bought RJ london spray paint from jiant at $5 (SG) per can. Pretty decent colours :lol:

Personally, I think the awesomeness mostly comes from the fact that the toy's been professionally repainted and weathered. The promo pics that Hasbro released didn't look half as good.

Heheh, I think hardware stores around the world are getting much better business at their spray paints shelves thanks to the poor paint apps from the DOTM line. I admit I've never repainted my TF's until DOTM. The pale gray plastic on deluxe Roadbuster was so bad that I just had to dry brush him in silver. And don't get me started with DOTM deluxe BB's entirely unpainted calves. Yeah, I've been doing a lot of dry brushing on my DOTM TF's recently--it's easy to do, and the effects are great.

Heheh, you're basically looking at a customization one-trick pony.

yeah it was revealed at botcon... it comes with an awesome display box (for truck mode) and the blue G1ish sticker stripe for his trailer. And somore g1 inspired metalic stickers... according to botcon

Gundam...after all the bells and whistles stop its just a overrated OP! I would have fallen out of my chair laughing if those guys would have dropped that thing simply because they clearly made it look like it was the greatest TF of all time. I don't own Buster Prime but if someone offered me BP or this thing it would be a no brainer...'nuff said! :VEHI:
