So I have been working on a fan made Transformers Card Game. I'm not the best at photoshop but I did the best I could on these. I specifically made a profile here so I could showcase them to true hardcore Transformers fans and get their thoughts, ideas, and comments on these cards. I created the cards using the stats of the original G1 toys. I wanted to create a way to use those stats in an actual card game. So far, I'm still in the early stages of development and don't expect to see the full set and rules complete for another few months. Pretty solid. Good photoshopping job overall, but you might want to turn the opacity up a bit on the info block as I can see the silhouette of the character's legs behind them on several. You'll also probably want to credit artists somewhere on the card, though if you're not planning to monetize this a copyright claim shouldn't be that big of a danger, but Hasbro has been pretty strict about it the past few months. Looking good, though I think I'll wait until I see a rulebook to finalize my opinion.

Alright, so I made some minor changes to each card. You can still see the legs of the transformers because I kinda liked that effect. Let me know your thoughts and see if it helps at all.

So I made some new changes. Personally, do you think this helps with the design aspect? Or does the lack opacity still not work?

I'll admit the opacity thing grew on me, but that might vary from person to person. I like the improved look a lot more.

I will definitely send the first draft of rules when I get them done in a month or so. At this point, I'm still messing with the effects and stuff and need to write out some solid rules.

Hey Guys!
I posted up some new types of cards. I was hoping you would check them out and let me know what you guys think?!

Command Cards

CM-01 Good Effort (NEW).png

These cards can only be used when you have a leader on the field. Each card has some sort of effect to help you out. In my mind they are similar to Trainer cards from pokemon or even magic/spell cards from yugioh.

Equipment Cards

These cards are probably the most self explanatory of all the new ones, they are equip cards. They go onto your Transformer to give your Transformer a boost. Most of these cards (unless it says resource) have specific requirements dealing with either or both; Fire Power and the Intelligence stat.

Mission Cards

I would say out of all of the cards in this game, these are the most unique. Essentially a mission card (just like an equipment card, has specific requirements (Courage and or Intelligence). Now the thing about these cards is that they kinda give you a challenge or quest that your specific transformer has to complete. It may be simple, it may be challenging but no matter what, you get some sort of reward for completing it. A lot of these cards give you RP. You need 20 RP to win the game. You get such from these cards and from defeating your opponents Transformers.

Hi there, I love ccgs (and tcgs, since they are exactly the same thing) so I love what you are attempting here.

How are the rules of the game coming on as their is still not enough information on the cards to be able to tell what is fully going on. For instance what are the two boxes at the the bottom of the new design optimus prime card? How do you summon units?

I take it the baseline stats are just the stats from the tech cards.

Yea I know I don't have the rules up just yet. After I finished putting up this first set, I planned to post up a "super rough draft" so others could test it as I do myself and hopefully together we can make it into a decent game.

Now specifically about the Optimus prime card.
Top circle: is the rank (aka their Energon cost) and is how much Energon it cost to field him. (Each turn you get 10 Energon to use, they do not roll over so try to use them up.)
Name bar: you have the strength and skill stat and next to that is speed and endurance stat. The strength and skill is for your "robot mode" and speed and endurance is for your "alternative mode". You fight while in robot mode but you race in your alternative mode.
Ability box: you the key words that will have specific abilities and then below will be the cards specific ability or a quote if they don't have an ability.
Bottom: you have firepower, courage, and intelligence stat. Those stats are used to play mission cards and equipment cards. The box next to it has his alternative mode and what size it is weather xs, s, m, l, xl, or xxl

I know this doesn't help as well as a diagram. Hopefully I can make something like that soon. We will just have to see...

I've tried my hand at making card games before and a few are at the stage where I really should male physical cards to test these ideas.

I would try to get stuff up sooner but right now my computer chord or broken (I'm on my cell phone) as well as I have a butt load of summer stuff I am doing so I kinda have to work around all of that!

I definitely like your style and designs with these cards. Curious about your rules for the game though. I used to play Star Wars CCG by Decipher back in the day, but stopped because I moved away from my friends that played it. I also played the Transformers Legends card game before it shutdown and definitely enjoyed that as well.

Hey guys! I want to apologize.... I said I would try to have rules up by the beginning of this month and we are quickly entering the last half of the month and I still dont have any up. It has been hard to find the time to test the game enough to wright rules. Honestly I have only played it once and there is still TOO MANY issues to make a super rough concept of rules. So I dont want to make promises of when it will come out but what I dont want is for your guy's interest (or possible excitement?) to die down. I know in the end that's my fault but please stay tuned for them and hopefully some time soon ill have something for all of you...
