I have a few questions about this set guys.
First, What is the distribution on the figures? Do they come in their own wave? Ive seen every other new figure except for the combaticons and was wondering if Im missing them,or what.
Second What is the deal with the G2 Colored figures? Are they available retail?
I ask because as I said, I have yet to even see the G1 esque wave yet and since I despise the G2 colors I hope Ive not missed the originals.
Lastly, does anyone anticipate that the 3rd party folks will release a fixer upper set for this brut like they did the energon bots?

Wave 2, and 1 of each to a case with the last slots filled by Optimus x2 and Jazz x1. That or it's one of each of the wave 1 (Optimus, Jazz, Shockwave) guys, I don't recall.

The retail version is in a deco similar to the Transformers Energon version.

They're all together in the second wave of FOC deluxes along with FOC Optimus Prime.

Select retailers: Amazon and Big Bad Toy Store. I think Amazon's sold out and you'd have to get it through resellers there. They are sold only altogether as Bruticus.

Calling the Hasbro wide retail release "G1-esque" would be generous. The colors on a few of the Combaticons vaguely resemble their G1 colors; but the colors are uniformly brighter and more garish.

SDCC Bruticus is the only Hasbro release that comes reasonably close to the colors of the Combaticons in the Fall of Cybertron game. The Takara release of the Combaticons is similarly accurate, but with metallic paint.

With the exception of Vortex, the in-game colors tend to resemble the G1 colors of the Combaticons (though in some cases just vaguely). Oddly, the "G2" variant of FOC Vortex probably comes closest to his G1 colors. (But even then, not very.)

Hard to say what the 3rd-party folks will decide to pick up. But it's gotten to be a pretty active space recently; so it could happen. I suspect the most effective improvement would be to replace Onslaught with a Voyager-sized figure.

I've only seen them at retail once, in late November, and they only had three of the limbs (no Blast Off or Onslaught). Bought them thinking, "oh, I'm sure I'll find the rest soon", never seen another one since.

My local Walmart had 2 of each this morning...

For a short time I was seeing more and more Combaticons, and now that seems to have come to an end. I just see random ones here and there now. I got mine in mid-December, getting all but Vortex at once and then my fiancee picked Vortex up for me a few weeks later.
I think they're still kicking around out there if you keep looking.
