Definitely looks better in dino mode, and is not obtrusive (though not as screen accurate) in bot mode. I get mine today.

[Edit] Talking about Iron Factory. I didn't get any alternate heads from other kits. That head does look great, especially with the teeth on the side.

I suspect I'll be doing the same with my Hasbro Grimlock as you did here.

I have the Zenith forge set (which this thread talked me into getting!) on my Takara Grimmy, and these two sets are in my PoL.

Yep, me too. I already have the Iron Factory set in hand but I ordered the Worshops head after seeing these pictures. Looks great!

Very nice!

A couple of things:

- The Workshop's head is very very nice, but can pop off quite easily due to the shallow socket and very tiny ball joint. Nothing that a layer of polish or varnish can't fix.

- The Iron Factory chest/wings are extremely tight, so make sure you ease them a bit before diving in with the transformation! I do appreciate how they can be removed so easily though, in case you change your mind and give up on the figure.

Or if you want to have Swoop perched on his shoulders. The Iron Factory kit plugs into where Swoop does on Grimlock. I'm trying to find a compromise that allows me to do both.

Oh. My. Goodness! The Iron Factory set does so much good to Grimlock. I can't change him from dino mode yet. It'll be a while until I can try out Swoop perched on the shoulders. This is amazing!
