I have been looking around for information about the G1 unicron that Hasbro had displayed at BotCon 2009. All I can find are the pictures. It looks really sweet in a G1 kinda way and I was just wondering if Hasbro or Takara still had the mold and if they could if they wanted to, actually produce these. I think there would be a good market among collectors who would love to have this. Do you think its possible for Hasbro to make this?

I highly doubt it. Usually if a figure is never produced past prototype stage, there's a reason (probably financial in nature) why it stays that way.

This idea gets brought up every year or so and it gets bounced around by the fans and we all say we'd pay a ridiculous price for it as an adult collectors piece and it never goes anywhere. It usually alternates between the G1 Unicron and the Beast Wars Neo version.

Ultimately, neither Hasbro nor Takara/Tomy have any intention of ever doing it.

And I'm fine with that. The Armada version can't get much better.

I'd definately buy it! Its bigger than the Armada and its simplistic. I lost parts to the Armada one, and cant TF it without the instructions

I would love the get the Beast Wars Neo version but alas it will probably never happen. Or it will be released in some ungodly color and we will wish it was never released.

And it's just under Leader class, I think. WAAAAY too small.

Neocron looks awsome. I don't mind if he's smaller than the avwerage bear. I'd get him anyway in a heartbeat.

I'd get either prototype of G1-icron in a heartbeat too. But ... yeah. He's not quite so awsome.

I have NO hope of these guys being made, though.

The Generation 1 toy looks more like Orson Wells than Unicron. Though I'd love the Beast Wars Neo one myself.
