Although i know your just sizing stuff up but the tentacles i think could use a little modernization with this custom your doing. I suggest using the clips that attach those tentacles too the arms but make a nice big and poseable set of tentacles that aren't so static as the ones you have there or the G1 figures.
Make em a bit wild and menacing.
The helmet looks good as well.
Good luck man. I'm excited to see your progress with this fella.
monstergrotusque wrote:With such an application, i would think ball joints would be the clear choice. Tentacles are meant to be hyper poseable in my opinion.
I like the idea of a clip on base piece with ball joints on top. Good thinkin.
It may be a bit early to ask but what are you thinking the material you would use for them (tentacles)? Are you thinking of a hard plastic static sculpt or bendy?
craggy wrote:I agree that ball-joints on the tentacles are the way to go. I know it's still early days yet, but any idea of a rough ballpark figure for cost? I'd be quite tempted to buy a version of this mold (probably not Ducktopunch) just for this cool add-on set, as I'm a sucker for some Mayhems.
