Let's step into the way back machine and travel to 2007. When the first Transformers movie came out, we had the "Preview Line" which consisted of Optimus and Starscream in their protoform modes. Obviously, we only saw Op's in his protoform mode on screen. After that, we had the first real wave of toys come out a month or so later.
My question is for the first movie toy wave that came out after, were there any Transformers in the line that we didn't see in the movie?
Now jump ahead to 2009. The preview line consisted of the first wave of RotF. Were the Transformers that were in that wave consistent with what we saw on screen? Were there any that appeared in the first wave not on screen?
If we can answer the questions as 1.) No. 2.) Yes. 3.) No., could we then assume that was has been shown in the new Wal-Mart listings be what we are going to see on screen?
Obviously we might now see some of those playsets, but what about the Transformers themselves? Are we going to see a Thundercracker on screen? Could it be possible Jolt is actually in the movie?
What do you guys think?

There were several figures that were not in the movie. Most notably the cybertron and energon repaints.
Wave one break down:
Scout Class
Arcee - Autobot motorcycle, a redeco of Energon Arcee. Not in Movie
Hardtop - Decepticon dune buggy, a redeco of Cybertron Hardtop. Not in Movie
Signal Flare - Autobot radar truck/construction vehicle, a redeco of Energon Signal Flare. Not in Movie
Deluxe Class
Autobot Jazz
Barricade
Decepticon Brawl
Bumblebee
Scorponok
Wreckage , Not in Movie
Voyager Class
Blackout
Autobot Ratchet
Leader Class
Optimus Prime

Actually the Preview wave consisted of Bumbleebee and Soundwave, and they were for the most part consistent.
For the actual Wave 1:
None of the Wave 1 scout class figures were in the movie.
Deluxe
Breakaway
Rampage
Sideswipe
Sideways
All consistent.
Voyager
Demolishor
Ironhide
Optimus Prime
Starscream
I'd say pretty consistent.
Leader
Optimus Prime
Megatron
Also pretty much, with megatron being the least consistent. (no wings for the leader class version.
If we can answer the questions as 1.) No. 2.) Yes. 3.) No., could we then assume that was has been shown in the new Wal-Mart listings be what we are going to see on screen?
1. Yes there were, 2. For the most part they were consistent, 3. THe scout class figures were not in the movie.
Probably we'll see some or most but likely not all will appear on screen.
Obviously we might now see some of those playsets, but what about the Transformers themselves? Are we going to see a Thundercracker on screen? Could it be possible Jolt is actually in the movie?

Jolt was in the last one albeit briefly, so he may be in DOTM. Thundercracker, as an independent character to Starscream? Perhaps. Though probably just a blue Starscream, or a non transforming background plane or something.

Thundercracker is one of my favorite characters, and Jolt got super little time on screen. So I hope to see them BOTH in DOTM. But they probably wont be.
