I looked back a few months worth of post before asking this, but if I missed it sorry.
So.... is HFTD Insecticon the same as...
The bug scout that Sam pulled apart in ROTF desert scene right before Starscream ripped the roof off the building? I watched it again and looks exactly the same, minus the radar on top.

Wonder the logic behind making this very insignificant (although I understand having an insecticon) robot, but not scrapper who was in the film. He had as much air time as Jolt did and he got a toy.

Jolt was originally a full cast member, then cut, then put back in again.

Yeah I've GOT to agree there! Scrapper would seem to have been such an OBVIOUS choice to have a toy, but nooooo.... very disappointing for me. I wonder what are the thought processes that go on behind these types of decisions. Scrapper looked pretty fleshed out in the CGI, and with new moulds of unrelated figures in the ROTF line you'd think they'd give us a Scrapper.

For what it's worth, Legend size Scrapper is pretty much the best of the Legend Devastator lot.

Re: HFTD Insecticon
Insecticon is perhaps the only TF toy that is actually BIGGER than his on-screen counterpart.
Between Supreme Devastator, Legends Devastator, FAB Long Haul, Rampage and the 3 Voyager Constructicons (+ repaints), there were a LOT of transforming construction-related toys on the shelves within a short time. Too much similar product probably doesn't sell that well.
While we got Sledge, Steamhammer, new Legends Long Haul and Rampage, Grapple, and a few more repaints in the lines immediately following RotF, with Payload and Grapple both being yellow Voyager construction vehicles, a third one (Scrapper/Hightower) would probably be "too similar."
