Let's get back to business.

Cybertronians, influenced by Earthlings, learns to settle disputes with one-on-one gentlebots duels.
This is how they do it.

Hey, i'm not playing here. This is really how i display my TF toys.

And it's all Classic Starscreams' fault! I picked him up one day thinking it would be cool to have him, and it snowballed from there.

Most of them I've gotten this year. The ones that are from when I was a kid are:

Predaking
Metroplex
SkyLynx
Devastator (minus the head and gun)
Blaster
Quake
Counter Punch
Broadside
Cliffjumper
Windcharger
Pipes
Cosmos
Cloudraker
Fastlane
Wheeljack
Red Alert
Grimlock

Everything else has been collected since late January.

Whew! At least that's closer to "humanly capable" endeavor. But still quite steep. :)

It's been very fun...and very expensive.

Yeah. You can say that again.

Come to think of it, I've actually completed the Classics series in under a year too!

Now i feel i have super powers! Geronimo! :-P

I used my time machine to travel to September 2008 and bought the Tomy releases with money that I haven't earned yet. Or I preordered the Games of Deception set before they sold out. Take your pick :P

Haha.

It is amazing how many people got the collecting bug as a result of Classics SS or 20th Prime.

Oh I've been doing this a bit longer than that. Most of my stuff's just boxed up and in storage at the moment. I've just started a collection thread over at Auto assembly though so I might try to grab some stuff from my bro's and rotate what I've got with me as I get more photos.

hmm i dont have a collection as such...just a bunch of transformers atm and no decent way to display apart from a couple of too small shelves (which need a good dusting apparently), the only pic i have is this one of my Prime Shrine:
Image
Above these are my Cybertron collection, with Supreme SS, Soundwave, VP, SS, Wingsaber, Downshift, Hotshot and Override, although i may have to put them away to display my Movie and Classics that are downstairs atm[/img]

So?

Geekee is showing Max, Omega, more than a few Gesalts, 5 dinobots, and 6 seekers (classics and BotCon). These aren't even easy to find in quality condition if you have the cash to drop on them.

Recognize the power!

It's well over 9000.

What do you mean so? I was talking about rareness of the toys but mearly the bulk of the collection. I personally think i have a great collection for only 4 months worth of work. In another 4 months i'll have the same again, and then 4 months after that the same. In under less than a year ill have 100's. Thats impressive if you ask me.

I didn't mean to belittle your collection at all. Totally not my intent.

What it seemed to me, was that you were disregarding what he had shown. I think if you had said a little more, I wouldn't have gotten that impression.

Oh no no no. His collection is great, i never questioned that. You sounded like you was saying "so what, your collection sucks in comparison" but weve both corrected ourselves now so its ok.

Although if i am honest, these rare figures you mentioned are no more valuable then normal TFs to me (just my personal opinion, im not saying they arent rare period) since EVERYTHING is rare to find these days, especially in my area. So to me, just finding a movie figure or a left over classics toy is a huge rare find.

Here's my modest setup. I moved to this new place about two months ago, and I haven't gotten around to getting more shelves so I can put the rest of my stuff out.

Apologies for the uber-blurriness.

I concidered getting that one, in the end I went for the metal framed design, I got two with red frames.

Yeah i always liked the 360-degree all glass display shelves though so i fell in love with this one as soon as i saw it in the mag.

I just felt that the all glass ones looked too rikety and unstable (how stable are they out of interest?). The metal frame actully looks rather smart, aslo there is more shelf space on the metal framed one (at least i think there is).

It seems pretty sturdy to me. It weighs alot so that helps.

Theres more than enough shelf space, i can fit a masterpiece prime on one shelf and still have 4 or 5 inches worth of height left. You could easily fit 4 masterpiece primes on one shelf, as it is i have an mp prime, a leader class prime, classics two pack prime, voyager movie prime and a g2 laser rod prime all on one shelf and theres still some extra space left for smaller characters.

I know that Nuala has that kind of set up in her loft, but I haven't seen her posting here recently. Unless she's changed screen name or something.

How did your Bumblebee grow into Alternator size? Is that Deluxe? Or custom Alternator?

He's a small kitbashing project I have going. Basically it's a die-cast model I found and did some parts switching to make it look like Bumblebee. I'll be slapping some Reprolables on it this weekend and will post up some pics of the final product.

So a couple of questions for those that mentioned using an IKEA display case. Anyone have experience with the Detolf one (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10011055)? I'm trying to find something with a high "wife acceptance factor" and that is relatively cat and small child proof.
