Dragon Age Origins (PS3)

Playing an Elven mage on my first playthrough, so far I've cleared Denerim and Lothering, found the Urn of Sacred Ashes, saved Arl Eamon and his family, killed the demons in the Mages tower and saved the werewolves, guessing it probably won't be long till I'm in endgame.

In that game, "won't be long" still translates to 18 hours. Bravo Dragon Age!

Transformers WFC (PS3)

Got my Soldier to 25, just leaves the Leader and Scout to do, but between me not liking either class much and having connection issues galore (which I'm thinking may be due to a faulty wireless network adapter rather than the actual game) I probably won't be getting to Prime mode any time soon.

I get connection issues all the time too! I always teleport across the map at random and end up right infront of some one who kills me, and I dint even have any control of where I move people hit me from halfway acoss the stage, and Im right on some one swinging like crazy and dont hit them once! And I always get kicked off the system because of "errors". Punk-ass internet.

Went to a bookstore today and ended up in their games section. Obviously, their PC games section was crap. Found Marc Ecko's Getting Up - Contents Under Pressure for ten bucks, though.

Getting Up [PC]:
Not as bad as I thought. Camera is overly sensitive; nothing my MX518's DPI on-the-fly buttons can't handle. I sure hope there's a way to re-read the blue hints, because I already don't understand combat other than button-mashing and grabbing.

Star Wars: Dark Forces [PC]:
The FPS I was playing before I should've been FPSing at all. I grew up with Star Wars games, and I love Dark Forces to hell. Kyle Katarn is still my favourite Star Wars character ever. So much so that I roleplay as him on twitter. Today, I posted "Kicking it oldschool" followed by the link to the Steam page where you can purchase Dark Forces, and LucasArts replied, "You're being META. Playing a game where-in you are the main character playing the game while you tweet. Which meme to use...." I couldn't stop laughing and that made my week.

Oh right, progress... Well, I made it through the thoroughly confusing Imperial prison and rescued Crix Madine, who you might remember from the movies. General Madine? Brown hair, beard? Maybe he inspired Kyle to grow a beard for Dark Forces II. The level was confusing but really well designed. Dropping the elevators and using the vents to enter the elevator shafts and walking over the parked elevator cars? Man, that was right out of... well, Dark Forces or Jedi Knight.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Wandered through the mall, looking for a way out. IN the movie theater, started seeing family photos playing but they quickly turned off. After 2 nightmare sections, found myself falling through deep pits and watching my memories pass as I dropped. Escaped the nightmare and escaped the mall. Found what is apparently my new home and a wife I didn't remember before everything went dark again. Another nightmare section and finally reached my daughter's room, but she's not there. Took a nap to relax. From there, Michelle (the girl I met at the school) showed up offering me a ride with her boyfriend to where I think my daughter is. THe drive hit a roadblock when the girl and her boyfriend started arguing and ran off. I'm on my own again

Just picked up this classic title a couple of weeks ago. I've played through Castlevania II several times, but never had the chance to play through the first one. So far, it's 8-bit gold! I'm currently having trouble getting past the Grim Reaper. Once I figure that out, it's on to Dracula's layer!

Silent Hill: shattered memories
GAME.OVER!
After I left Michelle, wandered an amusement park before finding a boat to the lightHouse. Dahlia was waiting and we decided to make the most of the time of the trip.
When I woke up, the nightmare had resumed and I ran accross the now frozen lake towards the lighthouse while being chased by the creatures that have haunted me. They overcame me but somehow the nightmare worked in my favor and froze them, though I had to swim the rest of the way.
From there, nearly drowned but the cop from earlier fished me out, saying she believed my story about who I was even though it made no sense. I entered the lighthouse and learned the truth... which I won't spoil here.

Overall, fun game, but pissed me off by committing the new game + sin. You know, the one where saving your game after beating it doesn't record your stats as you expect and instead starts you from the beginning.

Resistance 2: I give up! I quit this game for ever. I cant get past the second to last level and I've only died twice. But they put you so damn far behind from where you where when you lose! And I dont freking feel like starting over that far, so I quit.

Recently finished the Shivering Isles expansion to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

I two-shoted the god of order Jugga...lag...er...something... my characters a Kajhit(cat person) he's lvl 37 and I got Light Armor, blade, Acrobatics, Athletics, and Speed all maxed. I'm the master of all the guilds and got all the xbox achievments except for becoming Duke of Mania. (Because I chose Dementia)

This game came before Saboteur in the mail so decided to load it up and see what I'd been missing. After playing for only an hour and a half, I'm thinking I missed out on quite a bit.
Set up my character as Locust Shephard, a lone survivor colonist and classed as an Infiltrator. Not sure what effect the background and war status have, but hopefully I don't regret my infiltrator choice. Still thinking of everything in RPG terms (soldier = Knight, Adept = mage, Engineer = Rogue/cleric, infiltrator = 1/2 soldier 1/2 engineer, etc).
Gamewise, made it down to Eden Prime to find it overrun by Geth. In a tutorial that has still left me confused on basic controls, made it to the spaceport, rescued some survivors, fought the Geth, and found the dead body of our Spectre ally. The item we came to gather is gone so we're moving forward to the spaceport, where I had to disarm 4 detonation charges.

BTW, what programmer assigns grenades to the 'R' key? I kept blowing myself up by instinctively attempting to reload my weapon.

If you can't change the controls, do what I do. Use AutoHotKey and make a custom script to redefine buttons. War for Cybertron is unplayable otherwise. Visit http://www.autohotkey.com/ to learn more and to get the free program. Let me know if you need help with the script.

Pretty sure you can re-map, though in a game like this the hard part is finding keys that aren't already mapped. Thanks for the idea though.

Here's a fun little glitch the Mass Effect wiki told me to use. The Doctor you saved when you got Garrus into your party has another sidequest, do that one. She SHOULD give you a discount on supplies, but due to some glitch she also happens to buy things back at a higher price. Sell some of the most expensive items you don't need to her, then go over to the markets and use the buyback option, (Which lets you buy back the last ten or so items you sold) sell the same items back, buyback, etc. Your credits should increase each time. Add an expensive items from the markets to the mix every so often,m and after a while you'll have 1,000,000 credits.

But that's not the best part. 1,000,000 credits unlocks an achievements (I can't remember the name) and when you have that achievement, the C-Sec Requisitions Officer and the Normandy Requisitions Officer will sell you the level VII Spectre Master Gear, the second highest weapon set in the game.

Marc Ecko's Getting Up - Contents Under Pressure [PC]:
There's a mouthful for ya.

Remember what I said about the PC version controls not being too bad? I still think so, with one minor reservation: middle mouse button as the paint/tag/draw button. Holding down the MMB all the time gets painful, and you can't change the controls in-game for some reason ('lazy-ass port job' being the reason). I just made a script in AutoHotKey to map one of my mouse's thumb buttons to MMB.

Okay, so let me get this straight: after being evicted, Trane decides, rather than find a new place to live and a source of income, to vandalize crap and get his name 'up.' Uh uh... Only doing so pisses off a rival gang who kicks his ass, so he sets off on a revenge mission to spray over their gang logos, using the abandoned art school (delicious irony) as a base.

Thing is, there are enemy gang dudes IN that building, so wouldn't he just get owned by moving in there? Futhermore, the crap he finds there (clothes, stencils, shaver, that harness) suggests that someone else already lives there/uses it as a base. Not only that, but he sprays his OWN NAME over the other gang logos, which means that they and the authorities just have to look for him. Nice paper trail, homeboy.

Needless to say, I'm really anxious for the dystopian revolution to begin. Fun news you may have already heard about; if you have Left 4 Dead 2, this week's Mutation is "Gib Fest." There are absolutely no weapons drops (Molotovs, Pipe Bombs and Bile Bombs will drop, as well as special ammo and laser sights), but you start each campaign with an infinite ammo M60 and a Desert Eagle, so if you really need weapon drops there is something wrong with you.

The PC version does. They don't work like typical achievements, though. Many are VERY beneficial. Here's a fun-tacular list how. Also, if you get one bonus, it's applied to all future Shepards you create. Also, if you plan to get Mass Effect 2, don't delete your completed save data; many things you do in ME1 will have a profound effect on ME2.

BEATEN! As Jill anyway. Chris is the de facto main character, sure, but Jill's side has the more memorable lines (Jill Sandwich!) and also Jill...On the other hand, Chris's side has Rebecca.

Now I need to buy and beat Code Veronica and RE0, and then beat RE4, and I'll have finished the main series.

Now about 1/2 way through Tomb Raider:Underworld.

Ah, according to the wiki it's not that you buy things back from her. You buy elsewhere, sell to her, buy back elsewhere, sell to her, and reap the fortunes.

The Saboteur
Game arrived so I installed it for at test run. In the first mission.... ignored it because I was distracted by the entertainment at the club.
Moving on, joined the resistance by blowing up a Nazi petrol depot. After that, went to a flashback where my friends entered Germany to reach a race. Got in a barfight with a German racer and had to escape the local authorities, meeting an old girlfriend on the way.

I bought the big ol' Doom pack off of Steam (Sorry for not telling earlier but Ultimate Doom, Doom II, Master Levels, Final Doom, Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil were on sale for $13.59...just not today), Doom 3 (Which I have on disc but I got the pack for RoE anyway) would crash on startup, and by extension RoE as well. After a bit of tinkering, Doom 3 is not much better, but RoE works just fine, and that's what I'm here for anyway!

Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil:
Well, UAC, either not knowing what happen last time or just not caring, sent a team back to the Mars Base to...hell, I dunno. e-mails suggest they were only going to be there for a short time and that it wasn't permanent. I guess they were trying to get more info on what happened last time.

Me and my team were down in the old Martian Ruins, and ooh that's a really cool cybernetic heart thing. Picked it up...spurring Betruger/Maledict and the forces of Hell to invade again. Whoops, my bad.

Currently being lead through everything by Jennifer Hale's sexy voice, apparently I have to get a piece of a Martian tablet to a guy so we can either stop this or just hightail it out of here sooner.

Oh, and the Double Barrel Shotgun makes a comeback after Doom II...and it is glorious. The Grabber is pretty sweet too. Total ripoff of Half-Life 2's Gravity Gun, sure, but you can one-shot an Imp with it's own fireball, and you can pick up and throw Trite spiders and Lost Souls.
