Okay we all know how this fight turned out the first time, hows about we have a rematch! This Time Predaking isn't the one doing the Ambushing this time its the Combaticons! Can they prevent the Predacons from merging? If they can't can they hold there own against the mighty Predaking?

This an Ambush situation and Predacons don't know there being set up for ambush. A its been said Revenge is a dish best served cold!

I think that it could be done if Onslaught got enough preptime.

The Combaticons would still lose in a gestalt battle though.

Yeah, 5 on 5 the Combaticons could only win if they got a well-thought out plan. They can't compete with firepower. In gestalt mode, Predaking would still hand Bruticus his skid plate even in an ambush.

The Combaticon attacks would have to be hard and fast. For example, Vortex could use his glue gun on Divebomb's wings to ruin his flight control 'feathers' / flaps. Vortex's signature vortex could make Divebomb crash violently. Onslaught's cannons are very powerful and could knock out some or even all Predacons with a lightning strike.

Tantrum has four exterior fuel tanks, which is a Bad Idea since they could explode in battle, damaging him.

Blast Off can target Predacons from a long distance, even from outer space, with his X-ray laser.

Swindle can put Predacons off-balance with his gyro gun so that they can be easily targeted and are unable to shoot back for a few minutes.

To conclude, the Combaticons can successfully ambush and destroy the unprepared Predacons, with a good military plan. They could even beat Predaking if they led him into a simple trap such as a deep pit lined with high-explosive mines.
