Okay, it's been a while since I've had a decent hunt report. Most of this probably won't be new to you guys but it was pretty much all new to me.
Wonderland Target: Payload, Dreadwing, all the new Real Gears, Black Suited Superman.
Westland TRU: Ultimate Bumble Bee, Movie Robot Heroes.
Westland Target: Plenty of G1 Movie repaints, Dropkick, Payload, Recon Barricade, Final Battle Jazz.
Canton Target: Titanium WWI Magnus and Megatron. I bought the Magnus.
Haggerty & Ann Arbor Rd. K-Mart: Interesting story (see below).
8 Mile & Haggerty Target: New Real Gears, Movie Robot Heroes.
7 Mile & Farmington K-Mart: Titanium WWI Megatron and The Fallen, Final Battle Jazz, Dreadwing, Arcee.
Now, two interesting "tales of interest!"
Upon reaching the K-Mart at Haggerty & Ann Arbor Rd., I head straight for the toy section. As I approach the action figure aisle, I see a guy inspecting a 6" Titanium box. I can only see the side of the box but as I creep (rush) ever closer, it begins to become quite clear. It's Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus!!! I lengthen my stride and swing around him so it doesn't look like I'm sneaking up on him. Seconds go by that seem like an eternity while he turns the box over in his hands a few times. Finally, I ask him, "Hi, were you gonna pick that one up?"
"No, I was just looking." he replies as he sets it back on the shelf.
"Awesome!" I exclaim as I retrieve it from its resting place.
Needless to say, I bought it, practically bouncing in the checkout lane. Woo-Hoo!!!
Now for the horrible part of my day. Normally, I avoid going to malls at all costs. Today, I decided to swing through Westland mall to check out Khol's, FYE, and a few other places. So, what should happen? In the process of wandering around, I run into three ex-girlfriends. One mall, three disgustingly awkward, frustratingly infuriating conversations. How's that for a kick in the nuts?
Also, at a few places, I saw what can only be described as the second coming of GoBots. They're these really ugly little things that were in the toy car aisle called "Robo Rods" from some company called "Maisto". I tried to find pictures of them but they aren't on their website.
