TRU Exclusive MP Rodimus.
Looks great in robot mode, trying to get the bloody thing into car mode was a nightmare! i got about 80% through,a nd had the front all matched up, even figure out that you have to turn the hands in and get his weapons holder attachments out to fit the arms down the side, but for the life of me cant get his rear end to make a car, it looks like something from a scrap heap!
I can see how it should go, but there just isn't space for it! turning the thighs 90 degree's at a time doesn't help either.
Put him back in his box and he can stay there!
Offshoot though, now he's a nive little transformers, quite complicated for his size, but fun.
(btw if you have the choice go for grimlock, yes he is just an upscaled tranformation of G1 grimi, but far far far better!)

Lately, I bought Animated Voyager Optimus Prime knock-off at the local flea market.
Well I will never go back ther again because it's full of bandits that sell overpriced piece of ****.
15$ for that. It litterally fell appart when transforming. The only redeeming fact was his axe... which don't fit in any 5mm holes. I had to use a knife to make it fit.
Augh...

Well, if it was a knock off you got what you paid for. You should be able to get the real thing for about the same price. The only KO I've gotten that weren't junk was G1 clear Mirage and Walgreens rainbow Constructicons(of which I lost a few and sold off the weapons

Nah.. you think? Actually, THAT'S the real part that make me angry.
Add over 60$ for two poopy watches and you seal the deal.

I don't know what kind of flea market you go to, but they have you pegged for a sucker. Last time I bought a watch from 7 mile fair it was a KO Movado and the thing only cost $8, I should have gotten the Rolex since now KO Rolex can sell for well over $100.
$60 should have bought you a case of watches.

Usually it's the ones I didn't buy that actually make me ANGRY. Because I look for them forever and can't find them.
When I get a figure and it turns out to be crap, I don't get angry so much as disappointed.

That's why that flea market IS NOT a real flea market. It's full of permanent sellers who sell overpriced junk with their silver tongue. And beleive me, they are good at it. There's even a video game booth that sell used games. Random NES game, only 40$!
All of my hate.
A real flea market, at least in my mind, is where the average joe go to make his garage sale, or one that dump merchandise on epic clearance. Sigh, guess in the Montréal area, we cannot have those.

Yeah, the flea markets where they are the same people in the same spot every time aren't as good as the traveling band type.
There was the Busy Bee outside Paw Paw Michigan that has the same people and they have the worst stuff. But in the summertime they open up the outdoor sections to random vendors and some real deals can be found. I picked up a good size collection of He-man stuff for 5 bucks. Heck, the majority of my Constructicons were nabbed at a flea market for about a quarter each.
I did run into someone selling an Energon Megatron without any acc for like $15 so I passed on it. No Tank, no sword, I would have paid 5-10 bucks but they wouldn't budge so I watched it sit there week after week.
I live in Iowa now and have no clue where there are any good flea markets around, they are all farmer's markets. I like a good tomato, don't get me wrong, but I like toys at cheap flea market prices too.

Battle in space double pack
I honestly thought I bought a KO when getting Rodimus out and transforming him, so fricken cheap and tacky plastic... I got the dreaded stress marks on his shoulder joints the moment I tried moving them. I did buy the set for Cyclonus but thats no excuse for pisspoor quality on Rodimus.
I've also made some silly mistakes that got me angry transforming 2 of my movieverse deluxes while back :
My ROTF Ironhide deluxe had one of his panels clamped tight while I messed up transforming him, took 30 mins and I almost smashed him up out of anger.
My DOTM Barricade legs took forever to release from his chest while transforming out of car mode. Once I got them free I went to turn his ankle/foot round and it flew off across the room... stress marked and very lose so now he has blu-tac in his joint just to keep him standing...

Yikes, no sense in all the rage. D: Trust me, I can understand it; Rotf Leader Prime gave me some guff the first time I tried transforming him into vehicle mode, but I put him down and came back a day or so later when I had time to kill and I figured it out. It's fiddly, but it works wonderfully once you get the trick down. Of course, mine didn't have his swords installed when I bought him (thought I do have them) and has the articulated hands from the first movie Prime, so I don't know how much difference that makes.
With complicated transformations, I always know when I need to walk away. Moreover, youtube reviews and clear photos are your best friend. I did have a terrible time finding a decent quality review for Cybertron Soundwave/Universe Blaster for some reason. Does that mold get a lot of hate or something, because I kinda love it...well the knees are annoying, but obviously whoever had it before me shaved down one of the ratchets, shame he didn't do the other. Dx

I love my Universe Blaster. I painted the eyes yellow and a few parts of is head Silver. Makes it seem less Soundwave. Thanks to the miracle of super glue, I usually don't have a hard time with most joints as I just add a bit to stiffen'em up.

I am right there with you! What a letdown. And apparently, every Rodimus left arm pops right off. Strangely, Cyclonus is awesome. Too bad I bought mine for my son for HotRod

Most frustrating for me is Animated Starscream. I have all his fingers and fins in a box while my son plays with him.
I got very angry at RTS Jazz. Paid too much for him at Walgreens, $15.99. Transformed him, and thought he was AWESOME. Tried to transform him back, his head/chest gears broke, the speakers couldn't line up right to get the doors to close. I was so pissed. I returned him.

That remind me.
THIS:

I was glad to find that at my local Canadian Tire last December. I paid 25$+tax for this set.
Ugh... I've been ripped-off. I was not raging, but I was totally pissed at the badness of both figures. Both feel like cheap dollar store knock-off! Optimus have a nice robot mode with an idiotic gimmick. Luckily, you can lock it. The vehicle mode is a real shame. It look like a scrap-heap begging to finish it off. MP-01 Prime's vehicle mode become lesss ugly in comparison. When I buy a TF, I expect BOTH modes to be great.
Megs is no better. Mine is so tight everywhere, I always pop something off in transformation, or I fear to break something. Robot and vehicle are decent, but like OP, he feel very, VERY cheap.
I was such an IDIOT to not have waited for this set to be on clearance. Damn you, forgiving Youtube reviews!

I got that set way back when it first came out years ago. Prime is awesome in robot mode but truck mode is utter garbage. Megatron, only real issues are I don't like his lack of a right hand and how they shipped them all with the feet on the wrong legs (but that's easy to correct). I don't think I ever even opened the DVD that the set came with.

I too had issues with the above mentioned WFC Bumblebee and MP Rodimus.
While I don't have any issues with the design or size of Bee, transforming him was a complete pain in the butt. He's one of those figures where you have to get everything exactly right or the alt mode simply won't come together right. I transformed him back and forth so many times trying to get it right that by the time I got WFC Cliffjumper I was a frickin' pro at that transformation.
MP Rodimus is a very cool figure in both modes imo, but man that transformation is just so tight that even with a video tutorial I'm unable to get his arms pegged in quite right in alt mode. I keep him in robot mode because it's such a pain in the ass and use the Deluxe version to display vehicle mode.
DotM Leader Sentinel Prime gave me similar fits, although I finally managed to get him into alt mode perfectly. His alt mode is so pretty, I can't help but display him that way and use the Voyager version to display his (what I would consider) mediocre robot mode.
All three of these figures made me wanna throw the damned things, but I usually opt to throw a pillow or something instead. Transformers are too darned expensive to break 'em in a fit of rage (just like video game controllers).

Every RID Prime toy I have feels like it's very close to being a KO from one of the Asian stores at the flea market. I bought the wave 2 case and I gave my wife her Arcee. She likes the FE Pink one, but already dislikes the differences and feel of the RID version. Seems they are giving us less toy for the money.
We opened Wheeljack and one leg was loose and just fell off. Never stays in place so I use the clear nail polish to fix it.
RID Cliffjumper is ok, but 'Bee is just awful. Why are people justifying these toys as acceptable after they release the FE's...if they cost more heck I'll pay for the FE. These RID things feel like they will fall a part. I haven't even been this close to being disappointed since the 2008 Universe and Animated toys. These are just wrong and hollow.
Damn you Hasbro you are making me leave the fandom slowly but surely.

It seems that in Hasbro's quest to decrease cost and increase profits they are alienating collectors who value quality. I have only seen the Voy Megs and Prime and Deluxe Bee, a few Bot Shots and some Cyberverse. After checking out the Voy I am stumped as to why people are clammering to get their hands on them.
They are small and in that overpriced, less than impressive.
In a way I wish they had just continued to let Animated push through. There were so many characters they could have produced that would have increased desire for the line. There needs to be a consistency that can be followed instead of giving up and turning to a whole new aesthetic in a short amount of years. That is part of the reason G1 is so endeared by many. It is memorable in that there was consistency and quality for several years to build upon.

Animated got better over time. Animated toys are still better than these RID toys. The QA isn't bad, but they feel very close to a KO. I am holding them in my hand right now, and the only one with some hope is WheelJack. Besides the feet the toy is sturdy in a sense. RID Bee and CJ feel like hollow sorriness.
My wife opened her FE Arcee, but she kept the RID and Pink one in package because she only collects Arcee She also has Cliff since he was voiced by the Rock.
Because of how our US companies are cutting costs, I am selling off my TF's and collecting older Sentai/Power Ranger toys and some TF's from Japan.
I know the cost is high, but I may get the import FE's and leave it at that. I already wasted $100 on this sad case of RID's. Never again will I do that.

I complained about Jetfire earlier, now ROTF Prime... I hate him.
2007 Prime, I can take and transform and have fun with him. ROTF prime? Can't do that. His transformation goes over the border of frustrating and temperamental into RAGE!!!!
Seriously, skin-deep beauty but bone-thick ugly.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Why? I mean, I had a few issues with him initially, but once you figure out the trick to how he folds his arms and legs properly into the truck it's all great.

Because... the transformation is still frustrating to me, and it makes me angry. You like him, that's fine. I don't.

I've never had the figure in hand, but It always appeared to be this crazy triumph in Transformers engineering where they got really close to the on-screen model, as well as nailed all the other aspects.

yeah ROTF prime made me angry when I tried to transform him, but that was the best version of movie Optimus ever made. What made me angry was DOTM prime being lackluster compared to ROTF.
