Sorry for slow responding... I stopped getting notification emails... On every thread. Then I realized I hadn't heard anything from Seibs in a very long time.

Wow, didn't realize this was still up and running. Been AGES since I've been around these parts -- I want to think 2012 or maybe even early 2013. Hope everyone being safe and all, things being what they are out in the real world.

Heh, yeah. I peeked around, mostly to look at the Punch/Counterpunch profile -- I've been playing on a Transformers MUSH (via telnet) for the last 20 years, and I've never been a fan of Punch having "blackouts" and all that mess, so I've been tinkering with his character note.
Been ages since I've played Scourge. I also noticed that a lot of the former pre-generated Sweeps are gone now -- did they get removed, or get killed off?

They’re there. I reference them by name every so often, but we don’t keep the profiles around like we used to. Cry may have them stashed somewheres.
You would be welcome to return to the fold.

Soooo... Anyone else got extra time on their hands?
I sure do. On the 13th my boss decided not to renew my contract, 5 days later they furloughed that department anyway, and now no one is hiring because Ohio is shut down. So I am totally not busy and stuck in a house full of men :-p

Sadly, there's places in the US that aren't changing their their habits because of the pandemic. I was chatting with my cousin in Texas and he said there no one cares to take precaution.

Thanks
it was going to happen sooner or later, it just happened 3 months sooner than I hoped. To be honest, it probably is a good thing as I was so stressed out (my boss liked to threaten to fire people. Every day she was telling us we weren't doing anything right, she was going to fire us. We had one guy who quit his first week on the job and stood in the middle of the office and let loose on what an awful person she was)

I figured I would pop in again for old time sake. One thing about working for retail is it really didn't change much with the virus. For my company the biggest change is store hours and a couple of things for the employees. Personally I am in the middle of transferring from one store to another one closer to home. Thanks to continual working and occasional extra money from work, I been able to order a new laptop. My current one is 7+ years old so no clue how much longer it will be alive. Writing on a tablet isn't the best by any means. Editing on tablet isn't as bad as writing fresh. One good thing about a site like this one is the low data usage. Sadly I am still on a data cap at home which I can easily bust by watching too much YouTube.
The muse is back, for most part, when it comes to my stories. It has also returned to the TF universe but in a different direction than this story you all are writing. The muse is there if I don't continue to get distracted by mobile games.

Well, I watched the first episode. Gotta say, I likey. Rpg players will certainly recognize everything in this show. I could nitpick some stuff, but I’d rather just say I find it enjoyable.
Will probably binge the rest later today

We haven't had one of these in a while, so I figure it's a tad overdue. The always popular, "featured character" post, where a member of the mod team points out a few characters that are available that could use a fresh player.
One of the things we often hear in any RPG is that it's difficult to get started. And it is, I know. I've been on the vet and newbie side of the coin enough times to know. One good thing about these characters is that each of them are involved in board material and their future player can immediately jump into the goings on and ride the wave.
So, off we go!
Autobots:
Jazz--One of Optimus Prime's most trusted and one of the key Autobot command figures throughout the war, but especially now with the Autobots attempting to integrate themselves with Earth, protect it from the Decepticons and keep human casualties to a minimum.
Bumblebee--Poor Bumblebee. This guy gets frequently underestimated both by Decepticons as well as potential players. He is another of Optimus Prime's inner circle and should always have a hand in any Autobot storyline activities.
Sunstreaker--The egotistical brother of Sideswipe, who's no slouch in the ego department himself. For as many 'bots who think he might actually be a sociopathic Decepticon, Sunstreaker has come through for the Autobots enough times to be amongst Autobot high command's cadre of most valuable fighters. He's currently helping establish Autobot City on Earth and keep it safe from prying, Decepticon optics.
Slag--One of the Autobot combat elite, the irritable Slag is always ready for a fight, even if it's with his own commander. Right now, he's in the midst of a brawl with the Predacons, the Stunticons, the Constructicons and a few others. Even so, he's probably the happiest he's been in a while!
The Protectobots: With the storm of a large battle drawing closer and closer to Earth, the Autobots need all the defensive roles filled that they can get. Hotspot and his team will fill critical infrastructure both now and in the future and with the creation of Superion, Defensor will be on the horizon.
___
Decepticons:
Tantrum--Speaking of the Predacons, one in particular could use some love in the form of the gruff bullmech. The Predacons have been deeply involved in the plotting of this game for as long as I've been a part of it. Writing one of them is always a easy way to get rolling on the game.
Wildrider--The Stunticons are Menasor right now, so writing this guy will give you a chance to co-write a gestalt. That alone is pretty fun, as I enjoy doing it on several teams and have always found gestalt teams to be fun writing. Moreover, when they break apart again at some point, you get to run wild! Just be careful of Motormaster.

All of these characters should have profiles already posted in the game and accepted, so applying for them is as simple as tossing up one of those profiles in the app thread. Don't worry about a sample post, if we need one, we'll ask.
Keep an eye out for more opportunities as not only the storm of battle brews on Earth, but we prepare to give Cybertron a new storyline of its own.

Hola Zeke! We would certainly be glad to have you writing in the game again.
Right now the Decepticons are moving to surround Earth and force the Autobots into either surrendering or a final battle that would bring the war to an end. Whether they will be successful in this gambit is still to be determined.
The Third and Fourth Fleets have been referenced here and there in the game and are out somewhere in the universe, but have not specifically been explored yet.
