Depends.
Back when I worked at a comic shop oh so many years ago (mid 90's) there were a couple scalpers who would come by. While I didn't care for what they were doing, as long as they followed the rules from management, i had to serve them. That said if I saw them coming I would sometimes pull things on display behind the counter so they couldn't ask for them.
Generally at that time they were only buying things they thought they could turn around within days, either to people they knew, other shops, or thru online chatrooms. It was from conversation with a few friends still working in comics in the years that followed I had first heard about eBay as I was told scalpers were using it to get quick profit.

None of those platinums currently on shelves interest me. I just don't get the colour scheme of milky white and bronze pretending to be gold.

Honestly I've seen the Soundwave at Ages 3 and up, and I like it, didn't expect to but I did.
That said, when I looked at the Prime last week at TRU, I suddenly felt like a bowl of weetabix....

I know these are popping up at local TRU's, but in case you haven't seen them yet and are looking then head to TRU.ca cause they're in stock
(both $29.99 and free shipping)

I just got both of these as part of an eBay lot and sadly my Roadbuster has an unfortunately loose ratcheting set of joints in his left arm. Almost makes me want to hit up TRU and buy another one and return the ebayed one to the store...

But then some poor kid will end up with your faulty roadbuster.
Here's the best thing to do to get another roadbuster without upseting anyone else.
Go to hasbro's customer service and tell them that the roadbuster you have is faulty. They will exchange it for something of equal value (they might send you a box to send your back to them or they might let you keep yours). If you get e new roadbuster then YAY! And it would make sense that you do since that is what they have in their warehouses now. However, if you get another voyager (like Skybyte), then just go to toysrus and buy the roadbuster you want. Then go back to that same toysrus with your receipt and that other figure you didnt want still in its box. I did this last year for the Rhinox that had way too floppy legs.

But I don't have a receipt. Is that a problem?

No, not with hasbro customer service. They will only ask for the serial number found on the toy.

Yes, but regardless, customer support would have told you where to look and what to do. I can't help you as much as them so I strongly recommend you contact them asap, and tell them you have a problem with the figure, to get this thing sorted out. It will give you less of a headache, you wont have to go to the store, and no one will be sad they bought your faulty roadbuster.

I have to admit, I find their CS top be hit&miss, but they do try.
I bought a Kre-o GIJoe set that was missing a bag of parts, I contacted them as my TRU had sold out of that model and I didn't want to go around town to complain.
They took the claim and said they would send me another. Three days later a package arrived, unfortunately it contained a movie play set with a couple weapons and a Snake Eys mask, I complained as I have no use for this nor would my (at the time 1 year old) daughter.
Long story short, they sent me a cheque for the value of the Kre-o set, and I bought it at another TRU, and they allowed me to donate the play set to a local christmas drive.
All in all good, but quite a bit of extra work on my end I would have rather skipped.

Sighting of Generations Leader Megatron in Canada
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
I just spotted the Leader Generations Megatron toy. The Armada deco of this figure was found at Toysrus on Decarie in Montreal for 59.99$. It seems that, unlike previous generations waves (there is still no sighting of the Arcee/Chromia wave), the Combiner Wars related figures are released more concurrently with the United States schedule.

Found a bunch of Skydives and one Silverbolt at Wal-Mart in the Unicity mall in Winnipeg. Grabbed a Skydive and the Silverbolt. Only need Fireflight and Air Raid and then my Superion is complete. Yay!

Who knows, if they are going back to $29.99 the torsos may be involved. I'm just not worried about the ones they would have there.

I decided to start keeping tabs on WalMart.ca since it's the next major source of TF's for us Canadians. It's been quite the snooze-fest. Has anyone else ever seen/bought anything worthwhile online from them?

Went to Winners today (South Edmonton/Gateway) and spotted some Leader Class AOE figures for 20 bucks! I'd recommend Grimlock, ESPECIALLY for that price.

20$?! Daaaaaamn.
And I bought the Optimus one at full 60$+tx last summer... And it's now in storage due to my AD-31.
Oh well. Those who missed out no longer have any excuses.
